I have to admit; I wasn't too sure what this serial episode would be like. I only clicked it as A) the cover looked pretty cool and B) it said that it was a reverse harem story. The serial episode starts out with introducing us to Adeline aka Addie Pond who is a succubus who hates feeding off people and killing innocents. She is the type of succubus who would prefer to pay for her meal and feed only when necessary. While out to meet her meal, she comes across another demon who takes her and has wild passionate demon sex. She realizes her mistake and rushes out. The book then jumps to Addie cooking and whipping up a storm as her dream is to open a cupcake bakery like a human and she has a bank meeting to attend. To build up her courage, she goes out dancing to feed off the energy and finds herself in trouble, and again a new demon saves her. The final part of the first episode is Addie's bank appointment, and she is about to get a surprise and an offer that if she refuses could cost her her life. She can fund her bakery as long as she shares herself with three demons who run the bank and only them. Will Addie take the Offer? This episode ended on the cliffhanger of Addie's decision. I have the next episode on my Kindle to read, and if I am hooked, I will most likely continue and finish The Succubus Bargain serial.

Eh...

This book, I don't think it even could classify that way. More like a ,short novella, with a cliffhanger. The idea behind it is great but highly disappointing when you are looking forward to a book and it's just the introduction. If anything it should have been pushed back so more could be written. I understand wanting to draw a reader in but only a couple chapters? Rather pointless. Nothing even really happened and then book, over? I can hardly even review the book when there isn't much to talk about.

Seems not finished

Story is a fun read and well written, but it seems like it's only the first quarter of a real book. Problems were started, questions were asked, but no resolutions to be seen. Book took me less than an hour to read. Wish there was more to read :/

EDIT: I didn't realize that serials were parts of books released over time and not just a short story. Book is unfinished on purpose, so I would reccommend using Kindle Unlimited to read or waiting until the story is finished and buy the completed story.

Thirty four pages of sheer frustration

This kind of short-length books never fail to irritate me. Don't get me wrong, I think the book was quite good- the characters seem to be great and the plot sounds interesting, and I fully intend to keep on reading the series. But just as the story reached the point of the plot development, and you could tell that we were getting to the the good part - it ended. Like, what am I supposed to do now?

Adie, Adie, Adie, I so adore the trouble you've stumbled into! Emil, Kellen, and Tobias, I'll take one of each!

As an avid reader, I often find it frustrating to wait a year or more for the next book in a series or a new book by a favorite author. A few years ago I was turned onto serial reads by another author. Serial being short installments of a single storyline that gets released more frequently than a full length book. Often compiled into one longer read at the end of a story arch. With just one serial, I was hooked, for the simple reason I could read an installment (fully) during those times when I was waiting for something or someone and ended up with 15 to 20 minutes to kill.

Lately I've searched for some good serials and found a few, LL Frost being one of them. Am I a sucker for a supernatural story about an unlucky succubus? I am. And Adie's story is delightfully cringe worthy, laugh out loud funny, and steaming with teases. You see, Adie can't seem to stop landing herself in trouble. She wants to open a bakery, but there are three deliciously devious demons standing in her way. All I know is that I'm trailing after Adie on her (mis)adventures!

One of the best part of this serial? I get to re-read each one every time the next installment comes out! So far, two re-reads and I'm happy!

Adie is a demon who doesn't want to hurt humans, and she just wants to live among them, and open her own bakery. She's an oddity among demons it seems, and as she encounters three very different men who want something from her she doesn't understand why, or if she should trust them.

This book was a great start to this serial. I'm sad that not very much information was given in this one, but it still was very captivating, and I'm super excited to learn more.

I can't wait for the next book!

His power could be in me, a tempest that will fill me with enough energy to live for a month, if not longer. Hunger floods through me, sharper for being given a taste then told there would be no more. Temptation hooks into my resolve, tearing it

I picked up this "Reverse Harem Serial" because I enjoyed a story in the Rebels Without a Claus: Where Naughty Is the Goal anthology featuring characters from this series. The author had an easy-to-read style of writing that resonated with me, and I was interested enough in the group dynamic to want to see how they came together!

How did my desire to lead a quiet, semi-normal demonic life land me in this situation?

I quite liked the lore behind how a succubus was created, and the background politics - like the nightclub run by Those fun details that bring 'monsters' into real life always draw me in. The FMC Adeline seems like a moral-having, "do things your own way" succubus and I'm kind of excited to see what she does with that offer in the last few pages!

L.L. Frost has a wonderful way with words. My only complaint is that I wish they were longer books. That said keeping them short lets me get a fix more often and I definitely need a fix! You will definitely want to read and keep reading once you start this series!

The Offer by LL Frost is the first book in the Succubus Bargain, a Reverse Harem (RH) serial. Fantastic start. Adeline Pond is a defective succubus. She can't get her energy from the dream world and must have contact to get enough to sustain herself. Because she doesn't want to hurt humans or prostitute herself out, she is trying to start up a cupcake bakery. She will feed off of her customer's happiness. Seems like a perfect solution, but their are demons in the way of her plan. They have an offer that must be accepted before she can get started with her plans.

This is a well-written novella; short, but as a serial that can be expected. There is great world building and back story. Adie's character is nicely developed, There's sexual tension and great future potential. You will immediately be drawn in, but it's over before you want it to be. If you need instant gratification, a serial is not for you. If you don't mind getting the story in installments you will enjoy this one. I can easily recommend this book, but with a warning label. Too often authors start out with regular serial releases and then after a few months, the releases slow down, and then drop off completely. You, the reader, are left frustrated without an ending. This serial has promised regular monthly installments. Fingers crossed that this is true, because I am already hooked and waiting for next month!

Need more!

Oh my goodness! This was such a good read. Short since it's a Serial Reverse Harem story but a great start. I really can't wait for more about Adie and her demons. Adie seems like a great character, a succubus who's trying to do what she likes, and also keep herself alive while doing it and not killing humans as well. Her three demoms are interesting and we get just a taste of them that leaves you wanting more. I am definetly following this one to see where it goes!

This is an excellent start to a new paranormal series! My only complaint was the length; it was a quick read, wetting my appetite, and now I'm left wanting more. The characters were unusual and I found that refreshing! The plot has me hooked, and I can't wait to read the next installment. Hopefully the author won't leave us in suspense for too long.

Excellent but....

This was a great book. I was engaged throughout the entire book. The characters are believable and the writing is fantastic. My only complaint was how short the book was. I read the entire thing in under 20 minutes. Please put the next book out quickly!!!

Very quick read, I need more!! The main character is easy to relate to, just trying to get up on her feet and the man candy makes my mouth water. Can't wait to read more by this author.

Promising..left me wanting more

V short but you know this at the outset. Read a few rh novels recently and this looks set to be one of the more believable. No insipid heroine and the succubus world setting seems sound so far. More soon please else I won't remember to come back

I really liked the first installment of this new reverse harem serial. I know everyone dislikes serials for the most part - and I tend to agree - but this is well written and has a very interesting premise. Highly recommend.

The Offer by L.L. Frost is the first book in her Succubus Bargain series/serial. The world is full of demons and they live among the humans, but they “co-exist” quietly. Young succubus Adeline Pond is in a bit of trouble as she is a succubus who can’t go back to Dreamland to feed like the rest of her kind and so she has to figure out a way to stay alive without draining humans dry. Her mentor gives her a few little tips, but it won’t be long before she learns the hard truth. Adie thinks that opening a bakery and selling sweets to humans to feed off their desires as they eat them. But a couple of chance encounters may throw a wrench in her plans…can she outwit the trouble that is nipping at her heels?
The Offer by L.L. Frost is a reverse harem romance that is a real treat. This installment of the series/serial is a slow burn so prepare for things to sizzle and spark, but no real fire to be allowed to flare up…except for in the form of an adorable little fire demon. Being a sucker for a good demon story I was eager to devour this story when I caught my first sniff of it. The author weaves a good story that captures my attention from the beginning.
As this is a serial I’ll do my best to refrain from letting any spoilers slip. Adie is a cute character, but the author has no qualms with showing Adie’s immaturity as a succubus. I can’t help but be annoyed with how frivolous she burns the energy that she gets. She literally starves herself to avoid taking from humans, but then the minute she gets it she WASTES it!! I couldn’t understand how wasteful she was, but for me, it just reflected how naïve and silly she was as a demon. Honestly, you’ll understand why the guys call her an “incompetent” succubus.
Now, there are a lot of good elements to this book. For instance…Tac! The demon cat. Can I have him? LOL! I don’t have any armor-clad knights, but he honestly sounds precious. Haha! Some of the antics that the characters get up to are a lot of fun to laugh over. I’ll admit that some of their interactions are a bit odd, but that just adds a nice quirk to the storyline that you don’t really see coming.
This series sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun and so I’m looking forward to reading the next installment of this series. I am rating this installment 4.5 out of 5 stars. I’m taking off half a star because I felt that Adie should have been a bit smarter in concern to her energy usage since she can’t/won’t feed on a regular basis. Other than that, this story is full of fun engaging characters, and some steamy scenes that leave you…and more than a couple of characters…wanting…more.

Adie is a succubus who may have rushed a little when it came to getting a human body. Which has caused her not to be able to enter the dream world by herself, as other succubi can do. This has also made it hard to feed herself but she's only willing to skim and feed on demons as a last resort.

Adie has a plan but opening a bakery she will feed on the happy people with skimming she won't need to worry about feeding herself. The only thing standing in her way just happens to be three powerful demons who are determined to get more than just a deal out of her. In order to open her bakery, they want her to feed off them but at what cost? Will she survive a Bargain with the trio? Will she get her bakery?

I've had my eye on this series for a while but waited till a few more came out before diving right in. The reverse harem concept is growing in popularity and I'm becoming a quick fan. As the series is short novellas I figured it was better to combine them together plus that way I wouldn't be giving anything away. I love Adie she's a great character you can't help cheering her on as she overcomes everything that is thrown at her. At first, I wasn't sure about our demon trio but the more we get to know them the more I like them. I'm curious to see how this is all going to work out. I highly recommend this quick read series it's easy to get lost and read them all in just a few short hours. One of my new favorites and I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Might be my favorite reverse harem series. I've read every installment released to date & it's generally excellent in addition to having qualities that make it catnip for me in particular.

--Adie is a great character. She knows who she is and what she wants. She runs into problems because she's young (read: weak), and because she's been very badly educated. In a way, her poor education is her greatest gift--she doesn't think or act like most demons & her uniqueness is a result of their benign neglect. She's kind but not a pushover, and occasionally quite strategic.

--The demon harem take a little while to fall for Adie. The falling is my favorite part so the longer it takes the better--I want to savor it!

--Once hooked, they're supportive but they don't treat her like a toddler. They spoil her occasionally but they're demons--unstinting generosity isn't in their nature. At one point Adie is stressed and anxious and she breaks down in tears. One of her guys dumps her in a bathtub and sprays her with cold water. They have her back when she needs them but sometimes what she needs is to be told, "Snap out of it, you can do this." Personally, I really liked the balance.

--There's a slight whiff of omegaverse here. It's not omegaverse, but there are a couple elements. In particular, Adie is very particular about the 'nest' she makes of her bed and her succubus nature means that her conscious intentions (i.e., she's not in the mood to have sex) can be overridden by her demonic nature (lured into enthusiastically engaging in sex).

Adie Pond is a succubus, not a great one. A succubus all the same. Her mentor hasn't bothered to teach her how to feed off humans, only to skim. It never fills up her energy levels to full. Skimming gives her enough to get by. Then she is found by 3 demons, who are in need of a succus to drain them of their power. When she doesn't jump at the chance, they scheme a new idea. They will set a trap for her. Only Adie outsmarts them and sets herself up. Not as well as she hoped, but still good.

Slowly Adie tries to learn about herself. Emil, Tobias, and Kellen tempt her to do more than skim off them. The library is packed full of knowledge and little by little Adie is learning about herself.

This is a good story, but I was hoping for more. More steaminess, more something. I wish the 3 demons could teach her more about being a succubus. Show her how things could be if she allowed certain things. It's not that I don't like Adie, I do. I like that she has morals. But some of her morals get in the way and she can't move forward in what she needs/desires.

The writing is smooth and the characters are well written. It's a good story. With lots of potential for book #2 and beyond. I'm not sure I will read the next book.
