Maggie’s Revenge is an electrifying, mystery/suspense where an undercover DEA agent named Maggie Holt is taken by a Chinese-Mexican cartel who deals in human trafficking, among other things. She repeatedly tries to escape without any luck and the punishments are ruthless. The cartel leader uses everything in his arsenal to break her spirit, but she refuses to submit. In her eyes, all that matters is freeing the other captured women. Time is running out as the cartel is about to sell Maggie and the others to the highest bidder. It’s now or never for Maggie and the other women. They must swallow their fears and escape then wait for help. Will Maggie succeed, or will she die fighting for her life and the lives of the other women?

I’ve read every book in the Wounded Hearts series and have loved each book. This one, however, chilled me to the bone. Jacquie Biggar takes the reader deep into the world of human trafficking. She doesn’t hold anything back and as a woman, I can’t imagine anything worse than being taken and sold to the highest bidder. My whole body trembled as I became one with Maggie.

Plenty of action and realistic conflict makes Maggie’s Revenge a thrill a minute adventure. It reads like an action film which was fun. While this is the sixth book in the Wounded Hearts series, it’s a standalone. After you finish this one, go back and read the other books in the series. Trust me, you’ll love them all.

If you’re looking for a strong heroine in an untenable situation where lives are traded like currency, pick up this book today! Highly recommend!

Favorite Character/Quote: Maggie. Never have a read such a strong-willed heroine thrust in a dangerous, fearful predicament where all she thinks about is saving others. An incredibly inspiring woman and a joy to read.

My Rating: 5 stars

I’ll be honest, this was a tough book to get through because of the subject matter. My heart hurt for the plight of the young women who were caught up in the human trafficking. I think the author handle the subject with respect, and grace. The characters were complex, strong, and likable. There is plenty of action from beginning to end, I couldn’t put the book down. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I loved this story by Jacquie Biggar! Maggie's Revenge is the sixth book in her Wounded Hearts series and definitely worth reading.
When HEA Agent Holt went undercover to take down a known drug dealer and human trafficker she knew the risks, but even she didn't know what it would take to get out alive. All Maggie wants to do is get her and the other women home and safe and if she happens to take down the men who have kept them captive all of these months, even better.
Adam O'Connor is Maggie's partner and has been looking for her for months, but now he has asked his old Navy SEAL buddy to help. Frank is more than willing to help Adam find Maggie, but he doesn't want the feelings that he has for her to shadow his responsibilities that he has for his ranch and all of those that are on the ranch. His feelings for Maggie have the potential to shake up his whole world.

I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

In Jacquie Biggar's Maggie's Revenge (Wavefront Publishing 2017), #6 in the Wounded Heart series, Agent Magdalena Holt goes undercover to penetrate a child and female trafficking cartel but something goes horribly wrong and she disappears. For a year, her partner Adam doesn't know whether she's alive or dead except occasionally when groups of women are rescued just in time to save them from being sold into the sex industry. When they see Maggie's picture, they credit her with the rescue. Finally, after endless abuse, physical and psychological injuries, and mind-numbing treatment, Maggie contacts her partner to come get her and a carful of women who have escaped a cartel stronghold and are now somewhere in the Mexican desert. But they're not alone. Or won't be for long. Their captors are searching for them. Her partner Adam, a former SEAL, brings another SEAL buddy, Frank, his best friend and like Adam, in love with Maggie, and his FBI boss. The rescue doesn’t quite work as planned but Maggie is tough, resilient, and clever. No matter the odds, she won't give up. Ever.

I really enjoyed this book. While it focuses on the damage cartels do to families, the horror inflicted on women and children, and the inadequate effort made to stop them, it also highlights the tireless steps some dedicated people will take to stop the abuse. Recommended for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced meaningful read.

Biggar brings to the forefront the horrific and often overlooked crime of human trafficking in Maggie's Revenge.

Realistic descriptions and human interactions will compel you to keep turning the pages well past your bedtime. The characters are very well written and the action starts from page one and doesn't let up until the very last page.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend this for your TBR List. This is a must read for fans of the contemporary romantic suspense genre.

Jumping into the middle of this series of books wasn't a problem. The characters were well developed and the plot rattled along at breakneck speed. The action pieces were well written and the tension sustained for the full novel. A good read for any fans if the genre.

I love an exciting, thrilling, dangerous story with strong women and men in them. Ms. Biggar does not disappoint with an action filled thrilling read. Maggie has to be a strong woman to deal with all she has for the last five years. This is a story about strength, overcoming the odds, standing your ground, helping others that are in the same mess as you are why not letting your fears take over. I can’t think of anything much worse than to be taken and sold to the highest bidder. I like Maggie would try anything to get out a live unlike her I am not so sure I would have done the same about the other women. But then I don’t have the training she does. She is my hero for putting forth the plan to get her and the others out alive. It isn’t easy to put your fears on hold to help not only you but others with you putting one foot in front of the other knowing at any minute you could be found, taken back and punished.

Everyone wants to find Maggie and bring her home but hands are tied with red tape. Protocols must be followed rules are rules and put in place for every ones benefit. One must ask will Adam follow them for the women he loves or will he make his own rules? There is a twist there for he also has feeling for another…wow the plot thickens.

There are many books in this series that you might want to read them first. It isn’t needed the author fills in the blanks very well never leaving you feel like you are missing anything. I loved the twists and turns, the way the author holds your attention why keeping the story moving at a fast pace. For me it was a page turner and I had it read in little over an hour and a half. The characters are easy to relate to they are just your normal every day people. The author had no trouble keeping my attention holding me spellbound unit the end. I really didn’t want this book to end. I enjoyed it so much that I have bought a couple in this series, thinking about going back for the audios on the ones I have not bought. Man I do love audios and these look so good.

If you are looking for a thrilling read that moves fast leaving you breathless with strong men and women this is the story for you.

I have only read this book of the series. While not having read the prior ones, I did enjoy this. It was written in a multiple POV format. Getting that glimpse into the three people involved really helped me to understand a little bit more of the background and where the author was leading these characters.

Maggie is a DEA agent. She went deep undercover and was kidnapped. Maggie has now been missing for almost one year. Her DEA partner, and one time lover, Adam is frantic to see her safe return. Adam used to be a part of Navy SEAL team 5. His former chief in the SEALs is Frank. Frank was discharged from the military and now working on the family's ranch in Texas. Frank has been having thoughts of the missing agent while Adam is still thinking that he is in love with her but has been having some naughty thoughts about his boss, Amanda.

The question, who does Maggie choose, is up for grabs. The stage is set for the next book.

Undercover work is a gamble with life.

To step in to this you must be prepared to do anything to survive. Yet the truth of what anything means isn't real until you are living it. Not even taking into account the scars you will bear inside and out if you survive. Only intelligence, strength, and determination will carry a person through.

Maggie's Revenge

Maggie has been undercover for months. After human trafficking ring. Adam is determined to get his partner back. Frank just wants Mags back. Even though there never has been anything between them. He has never been able to get her out of his mind.
Great book in the series. Can be read as a standalone but I think it would make more sense after reading the series.

Magdalena (Maggie) Holt, a DEA Agent undercover in a Cartel who is in danger and a has become a captive, is working very hard to get back home and take down the man who has taken her a prisoner and intends to sell her to the highest bidder. She's helped some women escape the hell that has become her reality, but will she survive long enough to help the women she is locked away with and herself?

Maggie's intent on getting home and taking down Chenglei in the process so that she can rid the world of one of the scariest men she has met. She's locked away in a compound in Mexico and needs to find a way to get home and take Chenglei down in the process. She manages to escape along with 5 other women who were being held with her, they make it out of the compound and hide until help can get there to take them back to the US and home.

Adam O'Connor, Maggie's partner in the DEA and former lover, is beside himself that Maggie has been gone for so long and that they cannot locate her to bring her home. HIs SAC Amanda Rhinehold wants nothing more than to bring Agent Holt home as well, but she is a woman who is in charge and has to follow protocol to do it. She is trying to get Agent O'Connor off the case because she feels he is too close to it. Adam is sure that once Maggie gets back home they can work things out and get back together, but he's confused because he's attracted to his SAC.

This is the 6th book in Jacquie Biggar's Wounded Hearts Series and is the first one I have read in the series. I wish I had read the stories in order from the first one to this one, but it did not retract from the story as Ms. Biggar gives a lot of back story to understand what is going on. I really enjoyed this story and enjoy reading Ms. Biggar's books. They are well written and the characters feel like someone you would meet on the streets and like as a person if you talked to them and got to know them.

If you like a strong men and very strong willed women and enjoy a story where the heroine hides her fear when doing her job, but always has to win, then you will love this book. I give this story a 5 star review, and I look forward to going back and reading the other stories in this series.

I fell in love with the Wounded Hearts series after reading Book 1 (Tidal Falls) and the books have steadily gotten more exciting, suspenseful and romantic with each addition. We met Maggie early on in the series and shortly thereafter she went undercover and disappeared. We then learned she had been was taken captive by human traffickers. I trusted that Ms. Biggar had plans for Maggie down the road, and I am happy to report she did not disappoint me. In her unique style Ms. Biggar has written a wonderful storyline with a lot is suspense and intrigue that will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning page after page.

In Maggie’s Revenge, we learn not only where Maggie has been the past 5 years but what she has endured. Her main goal now it to escape, free the women being held with her and then taking her revenge on Chenglei, her captor. But some dreams are just that and not anywhere close to reality. Can Maggie truly escape the hell she’s in or is it just a pipe dream? And what about Adam and Frank; two men who care about Maggie and would move heaven and earth to get her back safe. Will they ever get the chance?

This is an amazing story that I personally hope continues. I feel there is still more to come from Miss Maggie and I for one can’t wait to find out what that “something”’ just might be. 2 Thumbs Up for a wonderful book as well as a great addition to the series. I personally give it a resounding 5 stars and Highly recommend not only Maggie’s Revenge but the entire Wounded Hearts Series. They are all must reads and definitely deserve One-Clicking. You won’t be disappointed.

MAGGIE'S REVENGE is book six in the Wounded Hearts series and is my first read by author Jacquie Biggar. This is a clean, romantic suspense.

Maggie is a DEA agent who's being held hostage by a Mexican/Chinese mafia leader. Adam is Maggie's partner and ex-boyfriend. He, along with their boss, Amanda, enlist the help of Adam's friend and former Navy SEAL, Frank to rescue Maggie from the Mexican cartel.

There's several players in this story and maybe if I had read this series from the beginning, I would've gotten more background on all the characters. And I only want more because I really liked all of the characters! Now, I described the book as a love triangle but there's no cheating or anything like that. It's more like two best friends who are interested in the same girl. However, the romantic aspect takes a backseat to the suspense in the plot.

This was a fast read and I actually would've liked some scenes to have been expanded on, especially the various blossoming romances between certain characters (wink, wink!)! Overall, a good contemporary thriller with strong characters! Told from various POVs with a happy for now ending. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

No man is left behind...

...or in this case no woman! Adam and Frank are determined to do everything in their power to find Maggie, alive, and bring her home. Maggie is determined that not only will she escape but she will take every one of the women she can rescue with her too! Will they be successful or has Maggie pressed her luck one time too many? This is by far the most haunting book of the series so far, especially when it follows the happiness found in book 5. The plot is chilling, the characters depraved and the treatment of the women heart breaking. Maggie and Olga dig deeper than anyone knew they could, refusing to let their captors see any weakness or to let hem break them, but even if they escape will they ever be able to return to a 'normal life'. I was a little disappointed with the ending of this book - although I can see where Maggie's future would be uncertain for a time whilst she recovers and processes, I am hoping that future books will complete the story for Adam, Amanda, Maggie and Frank. As with the rest of this series this book is available on Kindle Unlimited, I suggest that you take the time to read the first 5 books in the series as Maggie's story has been building throughout these, so reading these will make this book far more enjoyable.

I have read and enjoyed the first five books of the Wounded Hearts series, but I've been eager since book two to find out what happened to Maggie. She has been undercover for the DEA but then was put into horrible conditions with the other women sold into sex trafficking by cartel leader, Chenglei. Back home, her partner, Adam, hadn't given up hope of finding her. Adam joins forces with his boss, Amanda, and Ex-Seal Frank in that search. Maggie is an amazing character. She is strong, funny, determined, and caring. I like her interactions with the other women and how she can take care of them and herself. I could feel the heat of the desert or the blinding rays of the sun in the richly written settings. This is my favorite of the series so far and one that I kept reading just one more chapter until I was done. I can't wait to continue to "The Seal's Temptation" to see what happens next! I highly recommend "Maggie's Revenge" and the entire series.

Wounded Hearts is thrilling series with equally interesting heroes & heroines. Frank (the retired chief who's still in command) and Adam (the steadfast but cocky DEA partner) have been searching for Maggie (the feisty undercover agent) for a long time - which is fitting because I've been eagerly anticipating the day they'd finally find her. I always love following this close-knit (even when they are estranged) team of men and women as they face the ups and downs of striving to make the world a better place. Spending time at Frank's cattle ranch was as intriguing as seeing Maggie's deadly escape from the brutal world of a drug lord and human trafficker. Now I can't wait for (new addition to the Wounded Hearts world) Amanda Rhinehold's story!

I really enjoyed the book. There was action, suspense, and some romance. I am sure if I read the first books in the series, I would understand some of the interactions. It was still a good book even though I didn’t read the previous books. I can’t even imagine what Maggie had to go through even though she was an DEA agent. The man she was trying to take down was a monster. The poor women she was trying to save broke my heart. I enjoyed watching Adam begin to get attracted to his boss, even though he fights it. He has always had a thing for Maggie. I strongly encourage you to read the book.

Boy, that was not what I expected - but it was the 6th book in the series, and I had not read any of the others. Maggie, who was a government agent, was in the hands of a really, really bad guy who only cared about the money he received from his "clients" You name it, he sold it. This book is about what happened to her after she had been captured. She has a handful of really close friends (and some higher level people) who want to get her back.......nope, I'm not going to tell you anythingmore.

What a suspenseful ride!! Maggie goes undercover and gets taken by human traffickers. Her partner has been searching for her for months and decides to ask an old associate/friend for help. Between these 2 and the feelings they have for her you're in for a wild ride. To top it off we read about some of the things done to her by her captors and the things she's doing to try and escape these men, while trying to rescue the other women.

This is the 6th in the series but I didn't read the others so it can be read as stand alone. Loved this book!!

What an amazing and wild ride. This book had me hooked from the beginning. There were no lulls in the drama or action. Just nonstop suspense and heart-stopping twists and turns. Jacquie Biggar kept me on my toes trying to peek ahead through the splayed fingers of my hands half the time. I loved the inner struggle between each character was fighting with their past. It made them real and caused me to be sympathetic to their plights. Ms. Biggar is a great storyteller. I wish I could have given this book more stars.

This book is an rollercoaster ride of revenge, human trafficking. drug cartels, hostages and governmental screw up. if you want a slow paced boring story this book is not for you. The fast paced story keeps readers enthralled and enticed. Character development is concise and too the point. You like the heroine and feel her emotions at a gut level and really dislike the bad guys. You have to finish this book to see how Maggie, Frank, Adam and Amanda solve the problems and bring the bad guy down
Really, really good book.

Enjoyable story

When DEA agent Maggie, goes undercover to bust a sex trafficking ring, she doesn’t count in becoming a prisoner but that’s what happens. Maggie refuses to give up fighting to escape, she has to protect the other women with her. On the flip side, her DEA partner, Adam, elicits the help of his former CO to find and rescue Maggie, not realizing that he too has feelings for her. Good story with lots of grit and determination. Some romance. The ending seemed a bit anticlimactic.

My heart went out to Maggie. What she's willing to go thru to save the other women. But will she break before that happens and before she is sold. I wonder who will come to her rescue first and who will be her one and only. Frank or Adam. Action, danger, abuse. I read book two and learned of Maggie. That's why I jumped to this book to see what happens.
