He caught her in his castle… and now the games begin.

Her fiery eyes stir something primal he cannot ignore, and he forces a degrading deal with her so he can take his pleasure as he chooses.
Amara works against him, determined to fight the carnal hold he has over her.
But the way he takes her, fires something deep within that she never knew existed.
With each encounter, she begins to unravel… and much to his disgust, so does he.
REIGN TO RUIN is a full-length fantasy romance novel that begins a dark and carnal, enemies-to-lovers magical tale. For fans of faithful Alpha anti-heroes and captive romances. Cliffhanger included however this trilogy is complete.
This series includes romance and situations of a dark nature. Some aspects of this may be sensitive for some readers. For ages 18+
Zoey Ellis is a Dark Romance author who unites Omegaverse and Epic Fantasy into intensely primal romances. With her signature blend of high steam, dark angst, and magical worlds, her work satisfies a thriving international community of bold-hearted, antihero lovers.
She lives in London, England, and spends most of her free time with family, collecting pretty fountain pen inks, and wrangling her TBR pile.
Reign to Ruin is book four in this addictive Omegaverse series. This particular instalment centres on Alpha King Malloron of Eiros and the Omega Amara a spy masquerading as a servant within the royal castle. My first experience with this author but definitely won't be my last as this was such fantastically engrossing stuff. So after Amara is discovered by the king red-handed the two strike a bargain though somewhat reluctantly on Amari's behalf and as a result, Amara finds herself at the mercy of not just Malloron's twisted desires but also that of her own awakening appetites. So these two were certainly at loggerheads throughout. I thought Malloron himself used his way of taking Amara: restrained and at his mercy, as a way to create distance between them both and to keep things as impersonal as possible. fooling himself into a misguided sense of control over the entire situation. This also, in my opinion, started off quite slow: but building momentum as the story unfolded. So, questions I now have after finishing this: Is Malloron quite what he seems? What's the deal with the children in the red dungeon? There is so much mystery surrounding events here and I for one can't wait to discover more. I will also say this wasn't quite as dark as I was originally expecting: it had its moments but had so much light to counterbalance the darker tones and the relationship between Malloron and Amara was a good mix his dark against her naive lighter nature. Ultimately counterbalancing each other. On a final note that cliffhanger: what a doozy: it was very unexpected (though in hindsight). Fear, not folks part two is already out and the final episode releases very shortly. This is a really strong start to Malloron and Amara's journey can't wait to see what happens next. I voluntary reviewed a copy of Reign to Ruin (Myth of Omega, #4). All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
So far, this is actually my favorite book in the entire Myth of Omega series. I like Malloron and Amara. I found the magic elements more engaging, and Malloron. Also Malloron. If you're like me, and found the Crave books a bit slow, imo it's worth reading them to get to this book.
I know the first 3 books in the Myth of Omega trilogy are beloved by many...but I think I prefer Reign to Ruin because it had the morally ambiguous anti-hero that I like reading about. Malloron is a darker character than Drocco.
I was amused by his inner thoughts, he would say things like:
Drocco came across as an emotionally stunted man-child to me at times, while Malloron was much more deceptive, manipulative, and overall a pretty bad guy. I could feel his crazy devotion to the heroine though, and I think readers who like reading about anti-heroes who are obsessive about the heroine will like this book.
Amara was likable, but she was such a terrible spy. It was entertaining to read. It's hard for me to believe these Omegas have managed to stay hidden for all these years (hundreds, isn't it?)...they seem to be unskilled at staying hidden and executing their missions.
This is just my personal preference, but for some reason I think I found the descriptions of the Western Lands and Malloron's castle more engaging and interesting than how the Eastern Lands were described in the first three books. Idk. I became tired of reading about the Mothers in the last book, and this was a great new direction for the series to take. This also had a fun bodice-ripperesque trope that I like reading about, a spy/courtesan theme.
Overall this an engaging book in the Omegaverse genre, and that cliffhanger! I'm now immediately moving on to the next book.
Triggers: Safety:
This is a spinoff from the first three books. While you could read Reign to Ruin before reading the first three books, there would be slight spoilers. I think readers will be best off if they have at least read book 1, Crave to Conquer before reading this book.
An intriguing and twisty story with some very dark undertones
This is my second read through of the book and I definitely enjoyed it better this time - some of that may well be because I've now read book 3 (I'd somehow missed that out last time and only read books 1 and 2). Yes judge me as you want - I totally deserve it 😄.
For a chunk of this story Malloron didn't appear to be quite as bad as the very unpleasant character portrayed in the first series of books. Strangely he started off as not too bad - yes he lied to Amara but he was almost respectful in the way he treated her. Well at least in his mind he had treated her really well. I liked how the politics of the region played into his treatment, view and expectations of her and how her naivety of the Western culture made it difficult for Amara to understand him.
In the hope of finding out some of his secrets, perhaps rescuing innocent children and also protecting her fellow omega's, Amara makes an arrangement with Malloron. An arrangement which gives him use of her body, though really he has ulterior motives in mind. Can Amara find the information she seeks and keep herself safe too?
Unlike the first time I read this, I quickly found myself caught up in Amara's story. I think I'd left too long a gap between reading the books last time and had lost some of the feel of the world. There are lots of dark elements in this story, though some of this was implied rather than experienced. In particular was treatment of the slaves as they were trained for and also served in the pleasure chambers.
Whilst I really liked Amara, there were times when she came across as quite naive. She didn't believe Malloron over some things, like tainted food, yet at other times totally (and foolishly) trusted him. She also seemed to totally forget her mission at one point, though this was in part due to the manipulations of Malloron.
The chemistry between this couple was intense whilst the sex scenes had an element of BDSM about them. Whilst they weren't really safe, sane or consensual at first, both parties found them an enjoyable experience - as did this reader! Most of the time Malloron treated Amara fairly well, even when he "punished" her at the end (and this was more mental than physical) he could never truly bring himself to be truly cruel to her. If dark and/or kink isn't always your thing I'd still recommend the book since they were both fairly mild and minor in this.
Malloron is a deliciously depraved individual, the sort you love to hate to love. I've still not made my mind up if he is evil, or makes unpleasant decisions and choices for the greater good. I definitely liked him more by the end of the story than I did at the start, but there is still some way to go before he redeems himself.
There is lots of intrigue in the story and the twist at the end was TOTALLY unexpected. I can't wait to see how this continues, I can't even begin to imagine where we will journey next.
4 Stars! H - He's deliciously dark, sexy, rich, powerful, a king, huge is size, strong (said to be the strongest with magic), OTT controlling, possessive and would totally be j/p if given the opportunity. (He's the King so there weren't many opportunities for j/p scenes.) He's also an alpha anti-H. h - Smart, loyal, not a bitch Sex - Very steamy with bondage. (She's almost always restrained during sex.) 3rd person POV with POV from H and h No ow/om No cheating (H had been celibate for years.) Triggers - Dark subject matter. The H deals with human trafficking and has sex slaves (he doesn't use them). Some of the slaves are treated so harshly by task masters, they die. He seems unfeeling as to their predicament and appears to view them as cattle. It's not clear at this time if that's what he really feels as there are hints things might be different than they appear to be. He makes a lot of money from the sex-slaves and is known for having the best. There are hints that children are used for something but it's uncertain at the present time what that is. It doesn't appear to be sexual. Cliffy
Oh my goodness! This book was sooo different than what I expected. I initially liked it but I freaking loved the direction it took at the end. Wow! I didn't see that coming. I was absolutely gobsmacked and can't wait for book 2!
Before I began reading this, I knew it would be very different from the Myth of Omega series and it was. Myth of Omega focused on the couple, their relationship and his over whelming desire for the h. This book focused more on the foundation for the unique story that Ms. Ellis has created. The relationship between the H and h, while there with some super hot sex scenes, didn't appear to be the focal point of the story.
You see, the H was focused on something else. Something that's a mystery to the reader but of the upmost importance to him. He desperately wants an omega and it seems for a reason other than to have a mate. A mate makes a man weak and he can't afford to be weak. He has a country that depends on him to protect, so he must be strong. When the H discovered the h was an omega, he was thrilled. He felt drawn to the h, possessive of her and at the same time fought his feelings. He didn't want to want her like he did.
As the story progressed, a slow crescendo began to build toward the main event and holy freaking heck! Wow! I knew something was up but had no idea. I don't want to say more about this because it's pivotal to the story but realize patience is a virtue and you will be rewarded with a doozy of a cliffhanger, lol. I absolutely LOVED the direction this book took and can not wait for the next one. I do recommend this book to anyone who loves omegaverse stories and is ok with a slower burn with the relationship building, not the sex. *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I'm glad that I didn't give up on these books, they're short after all. The last one was pretty awful what with the magical history lessons and stupid mothers but this one shows great potential. It still has it's kind of boring magic parts but it's a spy game for the most part.
Unapologetic pervert meet fiery Omega. I've been waiting for King Malloron's story since his introduction in the previous books. When Emperor Drocco use brute strength as an Alpha, King Malloron use silver tongue and his powerful Talent. He is know as the most manipulative leader in the lands. As a true Visant royal blood who create Talent/magic. But there's so many corruptions happened in Western Lands. It is also known for the slavery.
Amara and other Omegas has been in King Malloron's kingdom for two years. But their mission is about to jeopardize when Malloron discovered Omegas hidden in his kingdom. However, King Malloron only interested in Amara.
Nonchalant agreement. When King Malloron confront Amara's identity, they made unholy arrangement. Amara need to be available for him all the time. Their hotness is over-the-top. His creativity with kink runs non-stop. Amara was about too helpless with all the things he did to her. Surprisingly, she enjoyed it too much that confused her.
King Malloron is my fave Alpha in Zoey Ellis' Omegaverse. Beside being his fuck toy, Amara got the best treatment almost like a Queen. King Malloron really treat her well. I really like their togetherness. Believe it or not. Amara seems like a willing participant to Malloron's depravity. But of course, it didn't take long when Amara realize his hidden agendas. He needs Amara for his own "experiment" and she falls for his promises. Beside his problems with Amara, there's some rebellion against his throne. The ending left with heartache and rage. Not good for King Malloron, huh.
I want to make it clear right away that this was a case of it's not you, it's me.
I really wanted to like this one; there aren't enough MF Omegaverse stories out there, and the first couple of books in this series were pretty good. I just somehow couldn't get into Reign to Ruin. Amara and Malloron didn't feel like real people to me, and the first 50 pages or so were a deep struggle. Things did pick up after a while, but it felt far too easy to put the book down and tell myself I'd return to it in a while. I think part of it was that Malloron didn't feel as charmingly evil as I'd come to expect from seeing him in Crave to Conquer. In fact he felt almost banal. For a book with an author's note that promised deep fuckery, it was surprisingly... light. At least, that was my take on it.
2 stars for now, but I'm going to return to this one and hope I'm more ready for it next time. I do expect that everyone else will love it.
I received an ARC from the author which has not influenced my review.
Using the Talent (the ability to manipulate magic) is as natural as breathing for King Malloron as his family created it but it comes at a cost. A cost that requires periodic compensation. With the clock ticking, Malloron needs to focus on lining up all the the components needed to pay or risk forfeiting his family's very heritage.
Returning to the western lands of Eiros after an extended absence helping Emperor Drocco, Malloron is emotional over the fact that Omegas have been hiding right under his nose in his very castle. Now armed with ways to identify an Omega compliments of Drocco, Malloron finds her: his very own Omega.
Amara has been on her current mission for the past two years and becoming increasingly frustrated over a lack of progress. The castle is just too big and magical blocks too strong for her to break without detection. Slipping up, Amara is captured by King Malloron and resigned to initiating the suicide protocol in place for captured spies until Malloron proposes a deal that is too good to refuse. A deal that would give her the access and information she needs to complete her assignment if she's willing to submit to Malloron with total access to her body however he wants for a one month period of time after which she is free to leave.

Just putting this out there for any potential reader to this book or series. This is the 4th installment in the "Myth Of Omega" in a dark fantasy erotic romance series. Book 1-3 chronicled the romance between Drocco & Cailyn which has gotten to a HFN/HEA conclusion. Reign To Ruin changes the focus to the second couple - that of Malloron & Amara (secondary characters of previous installments). So, for those who despise cliffhangers, you're golden for previous installments as long as you stop after #3 but, realize that this DOES end in a cliffhanger with a new couple with the next installment Reign To Ravage (Myth of Omega #5) due to be released September 21, 2018.
Readers of the series have a good grasp regarding the world building and erotic style of this author. My take on the actual erotica is based on the premise that any true Alpha/Omega pairings provide the couple with what they need - sexually, emotionally, etc. so rough sex (if consensual) should be expected if it's right for them. In the case of this couple, the addition of BDSM play spices it up even more.
Malloron was pretty much a despised secondary character from previous installments to the point I was reluctant to read this story. The build up for Malloron really didn't thrill me as there were mention he was at the core of child sexual trafficking which is the focal point of Amara's mission (not spoiler info for THIS book) so ya, not something I wanted to delve into. Yet, the pace and evolving series plot story line is so addictive and so intriguing (along with open ended issues) that I just had to .... and was so glad I did.
Surprisingly, the author changed up the adult content in regards to dub-non con elements so it had more focus on directing the reader's attention to enjoying the scenes vs debating if one of the participants crossed the line in consensual. Additionally, the vague BDSM scenes (purists may have isssues agreeing it's BDSM) are consistent with the whole Alpha role but bring it into a more formal presentation.
The secondary characters are well developed and add value to the story and world building. Emric is Tonin's replacement as wing man for Malloron but in an entirely different role. Can I do a shout out that I am more than excited over his possible step up as a featured main character. There's also a mysterious and unnamed character who I'm sure is going to be important for the future but for now, too early to tell.
I'm concerned over this series as the cliffhanger endings at the end of each installment are becoming increasingly irritating. A smart decision, in my opinion, is to strategically plan for cliffhangers instead of making it the norm. The only positive is the author is pushing out new installments in a timely fashion so the wait time isn't as cutting as it could be in a similar fashion as Vi Voxley did with her series.
I am addicted to this series that has the feel of Game of Thrones worlds but with an infusion of magic skills and adult content erotica. My personal recommendation for any potential fans interested in this series would be to grab and read the first three installments and then hold back until the Malloron & Amara adventure concludes.
Spoilers ahead, 3.5 not quite 4 but bumped up nonetheless
Huge spoilers as I'm feeling lazy so I'm reviewing all 3 books here
Spoilers ahead
Well I warned you......
So we get the story of King Malloran, king of the depraved Western lands who kidnapped the h of book 1 because he desperately needed an Omega. Drocco shared that there are Omega's in his land and he finally finds one among his servants. Malloran offers her a deal to get what he wants. Lots of twists and turns to their HEA
Amara is another Omega spy, she's been in the Lands for 2 years searching for information on slave children. She hates Malloran for the things he allows in his lands and the slavery/pleasure house he runs. Striking a deal with his distresses her but his effect on her body is her biggest concern. Can she believe a word out of the mouth of a master manipulator?
******* Ok so I was equal parts intrigued and disgusted by Malloran when i first met him and I've got to admit I feel the same after this trilogy
1) First of all dear author, let's be real this absolutely did not need to ba a trilogy. As in the first set much of book 2 was unnecessary and the beginning of this one had a lot of wasted pages as well
2) There are a ton of similarities to book 1 We have a second in command who ACTUALLY runs the kingdom as the king sprouts orders and off he goes Weeks and months pass where nothing actually happens LOTS of miscommunication and actual refusal to act as adults and just straight out ASK and ANSWER a FREAKING question! Ton load of back and forth Enemies that kidnapped the Omega Lots of unnecessary drama The Omega is a spy who eventually makes a move that the Alpha sees as a betrayal which in turn causes him to change his behavior toward her which AGAIN causes drama drama
That's not to say this book is EXACTLY the same, Malloran is a completely different Alpha to Drocco, more political and less barbaric, though given some of his actions I prefer the barbarian. Amara is also different to Cailyn as she was a great deal more stubborn, took longer to even consider he was her true mate and generally got on my very last nerve but she was stronger in her dealings with him but of course suffered BBS as well.
Better sexy times than book 1
When Malloran bit Amara it forced a one way bond as she didn't bite him back immediately, on one hand I understood why she didn't but on the other they were in the middle of a war and he was trying to protect her.....couldn't she seek her answers after they'd saved the day??
Again it took too long for them to settle into being a couple, the issue of the bite caused a separation between them just as it seemed the h was finally going to give him a chance....just another opportunity for angst
I'm so sick of the Mothers at this point it's no joke
I'm sorry but for what his siblings did to him they deserved their punishment and I didn't like that his brother got off so easily
The resolving of his magic issues seemed so vague and incomplete, like the author wasn't sure what could solve the issue
Even with all my issue I really enjoy these books, they're well written and interesting and I find myself a fan of the m/f Omegaverse with a loyal Alpha. I'm hopeful the other books don't follow this same pattern as nothing makes my love of a series die faster than repetition of basic parts of the plot
Epilogues with babies which are always a win
No cheating H had sex before but hadn't for years h tried it once Attempted rape of the h, the villain got what he deserved Wonderfully J/P H Lots of violence and distasteful stuff as the H's Lands trades in slaves willing or not
I really liked this book and how the author continued this series.
When I heard King Malloron was the main anti-hero:
If you liked the first 3 books of this series you'll love this book. Especially if the first taste of King Malloron in the previous books weren't enough.
Zoey Ellis, I am hugely impressed with this book. I actually thought this book would be below the original 3 books, but... I am happy to type this book was in my hands the entire day it came out. I couldn't put it down for more than 15 mins. My thoughts were full of, "Must find out what happens next!" I thank you for sharing these amazing stories and will be counting the days to the next book can't wait!!
Reign to Ruin continues in the same Omegaverse as the Myth of Omega series, but follows different characters. It can possibly be read as a standalone, but it’s probably easier to understand if you read the MoM series first.
The story starts out slow, but the dynamic between Malloron and Amara is intriguing, gaining momentum for the story and making it difficult to put down.
In the previous MoM books, King Malloron learns that there are Omega spies within his castle, but he doesn’t know why they’re there. He isn’t thrilled that there are people within his home that are deceiving him, but he isn’t necessarily threatened either. Even more, Malloron’s excited, too, but not because he’s an Alpha looking for a mate. No, there’s a secret reason he needs an Omega and he’s beyond pleased when he discovers Amara, a beautiful servant he suspects is an Omega.
There’s a rumor of Malloron’s kingdom capturing children and holding them hostage in the Red Dungeon, and that’s where the Omega spies come in. Amara is one of the Omega leaders and she’s determined to find and free the imprisoned children she believes are being kept as slaves. Working as a servant, she has seen the horrors and results of Malloron’s pleasure chamber, and is sickened when he sets his sights on her, leading to her pushing away and Malloron refusing to let her go.
Malloron is not a good guy, but compared to his personality in the first three books, in Reign he’s more of a Malloron-light. He’s selfish and crosses many lines, but he’s not as dark as I expected. (He does own slaves (most of them are sex slaves), but it’s often just mentioned and never shown, so it’s easy to ignore and forget about.) He was really taken by Amara and although he doesn’t treat her like gold, he still treats her fairly well for a captive and he acquiesces to most of her demands. Amara was strong and fought Malloron on everything, but she was a pretty crappy spy. I think with such a proud character I expected her to be better at her job. :-/
I liked the story and plan on reading the next one, but my biggest issue with the book was the amount of editing errors. Even for an ARC it was rife with so many mistakes that it often impeded my ability to understand what Ellis was trying to say.
I'm glad that I didn't give up on these books, they're shot after all. The last one was pretty awful what with the magical history lessons and stupid mothers but this one shows great potential. It still has it's kind of boring magic parts but it's a spy game for the most part.
A little bit disappointing. More sex than the actual story. A disappointing, supposedly strong heroine. Not really sure what was the point of the book, read more like a filler, hopefully the next one will be better.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!! Cliffies!!! Zoey Ellis writes those types of cliffhangers you love to hate and you hate to love. Always leaving the book off with so much suspense and excitement for the next book! King Malloroon seems like a much lesser Alpha than Drocco was at first. Reign to Ruin is the first book about him and Amara. After getting to read and learn about him in this book, he is most definitely not a lesser Alpha than Drocco. He just knows how to hide things better. He's vicious, possessive, way over the top, obsessive, and way over the top when it comes to Amara. Amara is a spy for the Omega's and the Mothers. She is in the castle to find out where the children are disappearing to. She ends up getting caught. By none other than Malloroon himself. They come to an agreement and the intense crazy ride starts from there. I cannot wait for the next in this series. I cannot get enough of it!!!!
I’m going to start off by saying I didn’t finish it. I couldn’t even make it past like 27%. My review is based solely on the 27% I did read.
That first chapter with the “pleasure chambers” that sounded dubiously like sexual torture just didn’t sit well with me. I kept thinking that maybe it’s not as bad as it seems and maybe I’m overthinking it.
But Amara herself was disgusted by what she saw and experienced trying to heal those tortured. She witnessed it first hand. She was trying to find those missing children for two years! So I have to believe it’s as bad as I read it to be.
I didn’t want to read about how the king being so freaking handsome made him a more likeable person?? I get anti heros. But condoned torture from men and women you kidnap to train to be in your “pleasure chambers”? Nope. I honestly felt like her being utterly beautiful and him being this stunning handsome big alpha was an excuse. It felt like their beauty explained away all the bad stuff he was actively conducting in his castle and his lands.
My stomach and my mind draw the line. I don’t like the king. And I respected Amara’s mission, even if she can’t bloody see the “most powerful alpha of the western lands” stalking her for two weeks! Just gave up on it.
Ok, i like dark books. I loved the first set in this series... I was intrigued how this semibad guy would turn out but i am very sad at how he turned out to be. In the first set, you can see the growing chemistry, the development of the couple. It made you want to root for them because you could see redeeming qualities in man. This one is too pompous and you dont get to know the characters in the book and ergo cannot become involved. Its like i want to know if amara is ok... But i dont want to know what the idiot will do next. Hes not worth the hassle.

This book has the 👑🐺🍆🌋 using a lot of magic and a lot of killing and threating to hold his kingdom together. There's a lot going on in this book pertaining to magic and spells. I normally don't read paranormal or magical kingdom type romances, but this is a series I am following and the main gist of the book is the romantic relationship between Malloron🐺🍆🌋, the Alpha 👑King, and Amara💃💋, the Omega, able to circumvent at least some of his spells.
Blurb: He caught her in his castle… and now the games begin.
When King Malloron uncovers Amara, a rare, beautiful Omega, he entraps her for his own needs.
Another great installment in the Myth of the Omega series. I love this series, and I loved the start of Malloron and Amara's relationship.
I loved the glimpse that we got of Malloron in the Crave books, so I was super excited to learn that he and Amara would be the focus of the second trilogy. Like Drocco, Malloron is an alpha in every way, but he is much more twisty and manipulative than Drocco was and reminded me a lot of Loki. He is a powerful Talent user, and through him, we learn more about magic in this world. He has his own unique magic, but he needs an omega in order to further his power, and once he learns that omegas are in his castle, he is both angry and looking for a way to put them to use. Once he finds Amara, he knows that he wants her for his own uses. Amara is on the lookout for children that are being trafficked and once Malloron captures her, she agrees to his demands in hopes of finding them. Both are entirely willing to use the other to further their plans, but Malloron's are definitely worse than Amara's are.
Amara is a ruthless young woman willing to give into Malloron's demands to fulfill her own goals. While he undeniably controls the situation, he still needs her to ultimately agree to everything or his plans can't work. He maintains control via his manipulations, but Amara still gives him as good as she gets.
This book was a delight to read. I liked both Malloron and Amara, the sex scenes were excellent, and Ellis really expands her world in this book. She ended the book on a cruel cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next one. These books are really some of the best m/f omegaverse out there.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
I have read the "Crave to" series that follows Emperor Droco and Cailyn's adventures from Cailyn's discovery as an Omega to her acceptance of her Alpha, and I think it's important for that series to be read before starting the "Reign to" series that follows King Malloron and Amara. There's too much background information, not to mention a great story, that would be missed otherwise. I can see that Malloron is starting his change, and I definitely hope that he gets rid of the slaves in the pleasure rooms because of Amara. I can't wait to see where this goes next!!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, but then I 1-clicked it after I was done.
I really enjoyed this book. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars because the beginning did seem a bit slow but definitely picked up pace.
King Malloron is a powerful man who is not used to having his power tested by others. Amara is a strong, determined woman. Willing to go the extra mile to get the answers she wants no matter what it takes. She finds out soon enough it might be harder fighting her own mixed emotions than it is to fight the King.
I liked the mild BDSM the story had to offer. It was just dark enough with the right amount of steam. That ending has me dying to know what happens next since it ended on a cliff hanger. Overall, it was a great story and I'm looking forward to find out what's next. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.
