The ink is barely dry on Kirsten’s divorce, but her girlfriends have already talked her into a Vegas bash - even if she doesn’t really feel like it. After two years of getting dragged through the mud by her cheating ex, she wants some peace and quiet, not an all-night party.
Wolf shifter mates Houston and Jack have a reputation. Their conquests number in the hundreds, but despite everything, they’re still holding onto one desire: to find the woman - their mate - who will complete their triad once and for all. So when they see Kirsten standing alone at a casino bar, they both know they’ll do anything to get her.
Even after Kirsten turns them down, Houston and Jack aren’t about to give up on the beautiful, curvy girl. And when the two incredibly sexy shifters find her again, Kirsten can’t help herself any longer - she’ll let them buy her just one drink… and maybe one more… and one more...
The next morning, Kirsten wakes up with a monster hangover, the memory of a mind-blowing night… and a wedding ring on her finger.
Can love forged in the fires of tequila survive the hard light of the next morning?
And does what happens in Vegas always have to stay there?
Betting on Wolves is a seriously sexy standalone novella about two shifters who know exactly what they want and the headstrong woman who could give it to them, complete with a threesome that may actually cause your kindle to catch fire.
Jack and Houston are mating wolves that have yet to find their third. They really are not looking either. As of right now, they are in Vegas enjoying their life and having the time of their life. So when they are in the middle of trying to get their next one night stand they look up and see Kirsten.
Kirsten is in Vegas to celebrate her divorce. She has had a horrible marriage but chose to stay in it for her own reasons. SO when she meets Jack and Houston she chooses to hang out with them and become friends. Their night of drinking and fun turns into a lot more of just fun and drinking though.
This story is fun and interesting. I loved it. Dakota/Roxie takes you on a fun trip through Vegas with these three and you as always get a happy ending.
Absolutely loved this book. Reading it was so much fun. to have 2 hot guys instead of just one is so hot. They sure made her trust them the right was and filled her needs. I highly recommend it. received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Houston & Jack, an existing mm shifter couple, pick up Kirsten, who is in Vegas celebrating her divorce. They have drinks, part while she has dinner with her girlfriends, only to catch up later at a nightclub.
The rest of the evening is a blur of “drinks, karaoke, more drinks, even more drinks, Elvis, the limousine.” Then sex, lots of sex. Did I mention Elvis was offering the genuine Vegas elopement experience?
Morning after regrets have Kirsten sneaking out, but her new husbands track her down before breakfast. They offer to take it slow if she will just give them her phone number.
Cute ending with two wolves persuading a dog on a leash to trust them.
Biggest complaint? Too short.

Betting on Wolves, book three in the Shifter Country Wolves series. After signing her divorce papers, ending a marriage from hell, Kirsten and her friends head to Vegas for a mini vacation where she runs into wolf shifters Houston and Jack. Houston Twist and Jack Marr have been searching for their mate for years now, but they never expect to find her while flirting with other women. When they talk to her, Kirsten turns them down at first, but the pair won’t be swayed that easily as they find out where she will be for the night, and end up making it a night of their own. Drink after drink, the trio spend going from one place to the next, then back to their hotel. The next morning, Kirsten wakes up with a killer hangover and an onslaught of memories from the night before, not to mention a wedding ring on her finger which causes her to flee back to her own hotel room. When Houston and Jack wake up to find her gone, they both realize that the thought of never seeing her again is too much to bear, so they rush around town trying to find her. Will the duo be able to find her in time? And what will they say to make her stay? I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book.
Hot shifter male couple look for their female to complete their triad. They have looked for a long time not finding her and have slept with a lot of one night stands. Houston and Jack finally meet Kristen, they hope upon hope that what they feel is bringing them to their true mate. Kristen go has just finalized her divorce but can't fight the attraction between these two shifters. After a night if lots of alcohol, Kristen wakes up and realizes she married them. She runs, but they find her and decide to take things slow to make things work. Two hot sexy shifters are great alone but add the sexy female and the chemistry is scorching.
What happens in Vegas does definitely not stay in Vegas this time! Take one woman celebrating her divorce with the ink on the papers barely dry, and two wolf-shifters "sampling" the female population of Vegas in search of their "third", have them meet in a crowded bar, and wham! After one very drunk night with Karaoke, Bull riding, fake Elvis'es and passing out in a suite after some hot and heavy activity, the light of day reveals the whole truth ... ! Hehe..! Guess!!
Really enjoyable book! Kirsten is in Vegas with girlfriends celebrating her recent divorce, Houston and Jack are in town for the rodeo when they meet in a bar sparks fly. They end up bar/club hopping and getting very drunk. Elvis gets involved and the threesome have to decide what to do once they sober up. The sweetest part is the end of the book with Katie! Highly recommend.
I volunteered to read an ARC of this book and give an honest review.
Another great read from Dakota/Roxie. This is the second book in the Shifter Country Wolves series and Kirsten, Jack and Houston's story. Great characters - I loved these three together. The plot was good, Vegas a nice touch - well written and entertaining. I am really enjoying this shifter series from Dakota.
This was a cute novella. Houston and Jack knew exactly what they were doing when they convinced Kirsten to spend the evening with them in Vegas. They trio got into a lot of fun and ended up married. As expected, someone freaked out, but the others were able to convince them to give it a try. For as short as this book was, there was plenty of plot packed in.
- I can’t believe there WASN’T a dp scene after it was teased. wtf! - also can’t believe this is the review I’m writing. Oh well. - also fuck yes, I’m so glad they stole her dog back

If you can get past the misogyny, the fat shaming, the purity culture, the slut shaming, the Pick Me Energy, and the 10th grade writing level…actually don’t bother. DNF’d @ 21%
Diverting, entertaining, fun, but not particularly compelling
This story was fun but not particularly compelling with just a little sizzle. It's a diverting story where the "Las Vegas" element was the strongest, the MMF menage component adding a bit of an erotic twist, but the shifter and relationship aspects were pretty weak (except for a reliance on the insta-mate / fated mate trope).
Houston, Jack & Kirsten Plus Elvis = True Love In Vegas!
Betting On Wolves is the third book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. It is another great menage story that takes place in Las Vegas. This is a steamy read with lots of romance.
Kirsten is in Vegas with her girlfriends to celebrate her divorce. She doesn't feel like have a divorce party / celebration, but goes anyway. Kirsten meets two sexy men while getting a quick drink. Kirsten doesn't let the men know that she is the one who just got divorced. She is still upset that her jerk of an ex-husband got to keep her dog.
Houston and Jack, wolf shifters, are in Vegas for the rodeo. They make the trip to Las Vegas every year. Houston and Jack are mates and are looking for a woman to complete their triad (be their third). They are known to be players or playboys as they search for the woman who will complete their triad. "Wink" "Wink" Both men feel a connection to Kirsten when they meet her.
Kirsten, Houston & Jack spend the entire night together getting to know each other and getting really drunk. They dance, sing karaoke, go to a western / country bar & go to visit a Elvis Impersonator. Kirsten tell the men the story behind the divorce party / celebration, the cheating ex-husband, the dog, but not that she was the one who got divorced. Later they all end up in the men's suite, and it gets very mind-blowing & sensual. The next day, Kirsten wakes up with a terrible hang over, notices the wedding ring, and remembers that the three of them got married.
I love the surprise that Houston and Jack did for Kirsten. It is very sweet. One of my favorite (funny) scenes is when Kirsten and Houston run into each other in the bathroom at the western / country bar. Oops! I loved when Houston, Jack & Kirsten tried to do karaoke. Overall, I really enjoy all three characters. Houston & Jack are sexy cowboy, who know their way around each other's and a woman's body. Also they love to have a good time with a woman that doesn't have be in the bedroom, like dancing (even if they don't know how to) and singing (even if they don't know the words or can't really sing). I love a man that can have a good time with me and look good doing it. Kirsten is an independent, strong & sassy woman. In my opinion, Kirsten is also trying to be positive and continue moving forward in life, or she would not have given Houston and Jack at chance. I really loved this book.
5 Sizzling Elvis Stars!

Roxie Noir is one of those authors who do not let you down. She has hit the ball out of the park again. Didn't see this coming. Wolves in Vegas hunting their mate. I thought it was a awesome touch to the book.
Kirsten had gone to Reno to get her divorce from Bruce. She then headed to Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate her divorce with her friends, who were glad she was finally rid of Bruce. Only thing she didn't like about the divorce was that Bruce got her dog Katie. She just wanted peace and quiet, party and get drunk. Little did she know that two Cowboy shifters were going to help her party and get drunk.
Houston Twist and Jack Marr are mates that are looking for the heart to their Triad. Houston and Jack own a bed and breakfast in Rustvale, and Jack use to be a bull rider. Once a year a splurge and go to Vegas to see the Rodeo and hunt for their mate. With everybody in their pack either mated, married or expecting, they were beginning to think their third mate didn't exist. They had even tried online dating and that didn't work either. Their conquests number in the hundreds, but despite everything, they’re still holding onto one desire: to find the woman - their mate - who will complete their triad once and for all. So when they see Kirsten standing alone at a casino bar, they both know they’ll do anything to get her.
After meeting up with Kirsten in the bar they don't want the night to end, so they keep buying her drinks, and they keep drinking with her. Then they all wind up drunk. When Kirsten wakes up the next morning with a huge hangover and a wedding ring on her finger, she panics and leaves before Houston and Jack wake up.
Can love forged during a drunken spree survive the hard light of the next morning?
An awesome book and a must read in order to find out what happens with Houston, Jack and Kirsten. Oh and you love the ending you were not looking for. ARC free book for honest review
HOOOOOOWL!!! Oh this has to be my ABSO-FURRY-LUTELY favorite book of Roxie's... so far!!! I know I say that after most every one of her books when I finish them, but this time I really, Really, REALLY mean it!! It is frackin hilarious, WOLFTASTICALLY hot & sexy and just so PAWFECT it's RIDOGULOUS!! I loved Kirsten! And Houston & Jack?!? WOOOOOWEEE! Talk about smokin' hot in more ways than just physical!! Once again Roxie has me beyond ecstatic that I found her! I have never read a book of hers that I didn't love! No matter the shifters, the situations they are in, how quickly they get together - or don't, I am ALWAYS completely entranced! I love how every story is unique, entertaining and SHIFTASTIC!! I am PAWMAZED at how Roxie can write so many shifter stories, yet each one is new, refreshing & captivating from the front cover straight through to those two little words I absolutely abhor - The End! Every couple, every triad, their status & situation individually and together, the type of character - shifters or humans, as well as the mix of humans & shifters in each couple & triad, always intrigue me! With Roxie's FURNOMENAL talent and FURRIFIC gift, each & every combination(s) that she creates, is a True Masterpiece in my opinion! I am ALWAYS completely consumed by her stories, and quite often I read the book a second time as soon as I finish it! Even reading one book back-to-back I STILL love it just as much as the first time!! I sincerely hope that Roxie has millions of shifter books planned, maybe some vampire ones too, because I have no intentions of letting her go!! EVER!! YES!! Her books truly are that SHIFTACULAR!!! Hmmm, maybe Roxie is the Cherri Whisperer! LOL Roxie creates & writes it, Cherri reads & is entranced by it! :)
BETTING ON WOLVES-A fabulous steamy romantic story.
What you’ll find in this story; a cast of impressive and engaging characters, fabulous story-line, vivid scene descriptions, fantastic banter, skyrocketing heart-throbbing sensual romance, and a heart-warming conclusion leaving you wanting more.
Houston and Jack, both wolf-shifters are in Las Vegas for the rodeo. They have been searching for the woman to complete their triad for years. When they meet Kirsten, their world is turned upside down. Kirsten is in Vegas for her divorce party wishing she was at a spa and beach. After turning them down when they offer to buy her a drink they find her again at a club, and are more than overjoyed that she allows them to finally buy her a few drinks. When she wakes up the next morning with a wedding ring, she is frustrated and angry at herself, and leaves Houston and Jack sleeping in their room hoping they will be unable to find her.
FABULOUS fast paced well written read by a truly gifted author. The characters spring to life with the vivid scene descriptions. I loved the characters in this story; the plot and romance keeps you glued to the story, a delightful read. If you treasure shifter romance this is a great book for your library. {I received a copy of this book for a completely honest review}. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I recommend this book.
I just finished reading Betting on Wolves (Shifter Country Wolves Book 3). As with book 1 it was GREAT!! But what else could you expect from Roxie Noir?!?! What a great story about Kirsten who's in Vegas to celebrate getting divorced from a real piece of work!! All she wants is a good time with her girlfriends, dancing and getting drunk. Houston & Jack are there for the Western States Rodeo Championships, and of course the women. They haven't found their mate yet, so they've given up on finding her. That is until they see Kirsten, then all the other women do not matter all they see is her, including the five they were just flirting with! They follow her to a bank themed nightclub where she said her and her friends would be later. They're out of place in the "too-shiny nightclub" but they don't care and she's very glad to see them! They go to a karaoke bar and start dancing together some leggy woman in a dress that is almost cut to her navel comes up behind Houston, puts her hand on his shoulder and rubs herself against his back. He frowns, stops dancing and turns around she smiles and says something flirty to him, Houston replies, and turns back around pulling Kirsten closer to him, the leggy woman storms off pissed! Kirsten smiles, they lose themselves in the music. How does it play out??? You'll have to read it to see! FAVORITE QUOTE **“wolves will make you howl.”** ⚠️
Houston and Jack have been together for a long time. They were starting to think they would never find their third. It was just one night stand after another, after another, after another, etc…. They were in the process of getting yet another, when they saw her. All the women they were talking to at that moment just didn’t exist anymore. The one standing at the bar ordering a drink was the only one they wanted. Now, they just had to figure out how to convince her to take a chance with them.
Kirsten is in Vegas with her friends having a “divorce party” after finally signing her divorce papers. Not her idea of how to celebrate, but with her friends in charge, she went along for the ride. Needing a drink to start her evening, she was ordering tequila from the bar in the hotel when she heard a man say, “Put it on my tab.” She was flattered by the gesture, but she was not looking for a hook up right now. She just got rid of one man, why does she need another one, or two?
This book is very entertaining. I found myself smiling and laughing at some of the things they said. It was a quick and enjoyable read. The steamy parts were definitely steamy! Their adventure together was almost real life believable. (Not that I think anyone could drink that much and still be conscious). Overall it was a well written story.

Betting on Wolves is the second book in the Shifter Country Wolves series. Jack and Houston have been hoping for a woman to complete their triad, so they’ve definitely played the field. In Vegas for the rodeo championships, they are prowling through the bars when they run into Kirsten. Kirsten is in Vegas for a divorce party, and even though she doesn’t quite want to be there, she’s thrilled to meet Jack and Houston! They decide to spend an amazing night together, but the next morning, she panics and runs. Is Kirsten the one for Jack and Houston, and if so, what will they do to get her back?
I had so much fun reading this book, experiencing their night vicariously though Jack, Houston, and Kirsten! They are definitely a triad that knows how to have fun, to live life to the fullest, and even to trust their drunken intuition! Kirsten was coming from so much pain and uncertainty, so I loved watching her kick back, be herself, and just have fun! Jack and Houston were real, and honest, and I loved that they also weren’t afraid to be themselves with Kirsten and wanted to be with her. Their night in Vegas sounded like so much fun, and I liked that there was a good mix between cowboy and Vegas, with line dancing and an exclusive bar! I have been enjoying these wolves in this series and can’t wait to see what will come next!
Play my favorite book of the series so far. Even though the whole book happens in just one night it's a great story with lots of fun and love. It starts off with meets jack and Houston at a rodeo in Vegas abd then going out and hoping to find some fun for the night. Even though they're looking for just a little bit of fun for the night always in the back of their heads they're hoping that they could one day find their 3rd mate to complete the Triad. In walks Kirsten just off of a divorce out celebrating and Vegas with her girlfriends. I like her independence and how she doesn't immediately jump on the bandwagon of sleeping with two shifters. She makes them work for her attention and test them to see if they really care about her by following her to the next bar her and her girlfriends will be at. The story was just a lot of fun with a ton of flirting, some karaoke, some dancing and a little bit of lovin. Their connection is Swift and true and when you know something your heart that is just right why wait the normal standard times of dating and being engaged? Why can't something be immediate and Lasting? This is something that I think Houston and Jack and Kirsten all realize and decided to take a chance on love. The story was short and sweet with a lot of fun thrown in I enjoyed it immensely.
Betting on Wolves, book two in the Shifter Country Wolves series by Roxie Noir, under the pen name Dakota West. This is Houston , Jack and Kirsten's story . Kirsten is in Vegas to celebrate her divorce when she meets two men in a bar that want to buy her a drink . Knowing that most men expect something for this she lets them know quickly that she will pay for her own and that she is there just for a quick drink before meeting up with her friends . When Jack and Houston first sees Kirsten they are not sure exactly what is going on . They were in the process of buying drinks for some other ladies when Jack first sees her . Without thinking they both leave the group of ladies and walk right up to Kirsten . One thing leads to another and Kirsten let's them know where she will be later if they really want to see her again . Shocked to see them at the Heist she decides why not and goes with them to another place where they could hear each other without shouting . Surprises happen in this story that I just fell in love with !! This is well written and recommended to all !! I received this ARC and man the story pulled me in quickly and did not let me go until the end so yes I am reviewing it !! Before I leave the review gotta say .... LOVED THE ELVIS !! lol
I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
2.5 stars
You do not need to read book 1 in the series, Running With Wolves, before reading this book.
I wanted to like this book, and I do like some of the elements, but the whole just didn't work for me. The whole plot relies way too much on the "mate" insta-love trope. I felt like there was no connection between the MCs beyond that "mate" connection.
Jack and Houston's attitude about the women they've been with before just came across as dismissive. They couldn't even remember the name of the woman they'd been with the night before. The fact that all 3 of the characters spend most of the book constantly drinking (granted it is mostly told over 1 night, but still seemed excessive), to the point that they are stumbling drunk by the time they make some very serious decisions, does not seem like a good starting point for this triad. The epilogue to me was a major redeeming factor to me (don't want to spoil it).
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Shifter Country Wolves series. In this book, Houston and Jack go to Las Vegas to watch the rodeo competitions and meet Kirsten in a bar. Houston and Jack both know Kirsten is their mate, but she isn't very interested in them. When Kirsten mentions she is going out with friends to a club to celebrate a divorce, they ask where and tell her they will meet them there. Kirsten doesn't expect to see them again and is surprised when they show up. Kirsten also doesn't tell them the divorce was hers. When Kirsten is obviously having a bad time at the club, Houston and Jack offer to take her somewhere else. The three end up drinking the night away and end up going to see Elvis and wake up the next morning married to each other. Kirsten panics and the men set out to find their mate. I loved this book, i laughed and thought it was a good read. I really liked Houston and Jack and the way they respected Kirsten's choices. They just wanted to spend time with her and get to know her. They had a great night and a lot of fun. Another great one.
After Kirsten's divorce she went with her friends to Vegas to have a divorce party. She's not really feeling the party but out of respect for her friends she'll play along but she needs a drink first so she stops by a bar to grab a quick one. Houston and Jack were trying to decide what or who they'll be doing for the night when Kirsten walked in and stole their attention. When they couldn't convince her to stay they found out where she would be going for the night. Kirsten doesn't believe for one chance that the hot shifter men would show up so she ended up drinking more than she should while out with friends. When the guys caught up to her she was chewing another guy out but they still moved in on her. They spend a wild crazy night together and in the morning she is gone. Will they be able to find her before she leaves town? Can they convince her to give them a chance?
This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Houston, Kirsten and Jack was off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any of my book friends.
