’SEX MATERIAL’ Is a full length standalone, contemporary romance novel by author Victoria Ashley. Dual POV
Jensen is only known around town as one thing ‘Sex Material’ the manwhore around town, he’s the guy to hook up with if your having a bad day and you just want to forget about it. He’s not the guy you’d take home to meet your parents, and he’s definitely not the guy you’d settle down with and it’s been that way for over a year and a half now and he's happy with that. I'm the guy that'll fuck you and send you on your way.
No kissing
No emotional hookups
But even though his personal life is a hotmess he owns two successful businesses, Blake’s Construction & Blake Rentals.

Twenty seven year old wine drinking, happy go lucky, Cami is a fourth grade teacher of five years, she’d just caught her boyfriend of five years kissing another woman and is now in need of somewhere else to live.
That’s where Jensen comes into the story. Cami barges into one of his rentals he's working on and demands that he rent the place to her, coming face to face with one of the most hottest men she's ever seen in her life, it's not until he opens his mouth that has her not standing the man.
She's got her job set out for her with convincing him to give her a chance, he's not going to make it easy. Whenever these two are within breathing space of each other fireworks erupt. Get ready for one hell of a hot bumpy ride!!
Over half this book he was a cocky a-hole so I found it so hard to connect with him, most of the time I just wanted to close my ipad and ignore him, other times I wanted her to slap him to China and back, he was arrogant, self centered, and condescending BUT just what these authors do they make us readers fall in love with these a-holes and that's exactly what Victoria did with Jensen, he started to redeem himself, and like a slow burn he showed us that there was more to him than met the eye. We saw that he can hurt, bleed, feel, like anyone else, because underneath all his talk there is such a caring softer side that shows itself when you least expect it and like many woman before me I also fell under his spell.

I don't know if I follow the author's rationale for H and h behavior. Okay, any of the characters' behavior.
One)
The premise is the hero is so broken he has no use for anyone so he has sex without kissing and only on his terms. He's so good at it, sex, that women randomly drive up for their fix.
How is he broken?
Two)
The heroine's live-in BF cheats on her with a fellow teacher. How lazy. The H is worried that people will think less of the heroine because her BF left her and got another woman pregnant. Hmm, really? I would think that people are going to think they are lowlife scumbags, but what do I know.
Three)
The h's best friend knows the backstory, but can't/won't fill her in because it's the H's story to tell. You are her best friend. Where do your loyalties lie?zzzzzzz
And the sex is ouch-worthy.

OH. MY. GOSH.
Was I expecting this storyline? Fuck No
Did I love it? Fuck Yes. You better believe I did.
When I first seen this book and read the info about it, it intrigued me and I NEEDED to know what was going to go down because with a title like Sex Material you know it’s going to be delicious *sighs* and delicious it was! I didn’t expect it and that’s what I loved most, the surprise.

Jensen and Cami are total opposites but them both together prove 100% that opposites do in fact attract. They were amazing and brought a shit-ton of feels along with their story. Happiness, sadness and complete heartbreak. When everything was out in the open my heart just shattered, shattered because of the pain and how they both felt.
The sexual chemistry in this book is off the damn charts. Victoria Ashley made me feel like I was stood in the room with them, made me feel like I could actually feel the chemistry it was that strong and the sex, to say it was hot would be an understatement. It would melt the panties off of a nun, seriously. Gahhh!
This is my first read from this author and most certainly won’t be my last. When a book is well written and captures your attention from the get go you know you’re gonna love it and I did, I absolutely loved this beauty, feels and all! Victoria Ashley brought us an outstanding book and I’m in awe.
Sex Material is sexy, heartbreaking and WILL make your blood boil (in the good kind of way.) It’ll leave you wanting more and falling in love with the Alpha-hole and his sassy bombshell.

And that's where my good thoughts end.
Jensen was a mess. Cami was a mess.
ANDDDDD... he has a descriptive sex scene in the beginning with some other woman.
Now I get that I'm supposed to be all about him and his growing feelings for Cami because he hasn't kissed a woman in years (bones them no problem tho) and he kisses her. He even loves kissing her.
But when his sex scene with another woman, which did happen before he met Cami so let's give him some points for that, is hotter than anything he shared with THE HEROINE OF THE STORY, overshadowing what they share like a muhfuqqa and making their 'sexy scenes' seem like straight out of a Sweet Valley High book...
I'm gonna have to pass.

Sex Material has been in my kindle for a long time. I am finally happy I was able to read this book. It's an original story and very Unique.
Cami is a fourth-grade middle teacher in a small town. She works in the same school as her boyfriend, Douglas, or as I call him, douche. After school is let out for the day, she walks to Douglas, the douche classroom, to find Susan, another teacher kissing him, to find out they’re having an affair. Smart girl left his ass. From this moment on, I couldn’t stop laughing.
Jensen is the towns manwhore. Women use him from his body and nothing more for the last two years. Per Jensen, he deserves to be alone.

What he didn’t expect was a hot mess of drunk Cami walks into his property to rent a home from him that he is instantly attracted to her. She didn’t put up with his crap and challenged him. Which was a massive turn-on for him. He told her no, and the next day, he gave her an application for the house and told her she had a few hours to fill it out and return it. To say some of the questions were Inappropriate is an understatement, and you will laugh. He is a total alpha hole.
My favorite part of the book was when he grabbed Cami’s phone from her when Douglas called. The best part of the book.
Sex Material teeters more on the filthier books from the author. However not as dirty as the Walk of Shame series. For me, it’s something I look for with a nice mixture of a good plot and romance, which Victoria Ashley always provides. The banter and hatred for their attraction are what set the pace for their spicy scenes. I was waiting for the place to burn down around them or Cami to stab him.

I have to say I know some may not like Jensen; the things that fly out of his mouth are unreal. But Cami is far from meek and gave it back and wondered why he is how he is. By the end, I absolutely love him. The author has a way of writing unique books, and I will always recommend her books.

When Cami finds out that her boyfriend of five years is cheating on her she needs to leave and fast, but her soon to be new landlord is a real jerk. He is sexy as hell, but often his mouth ruins it for Cami.
Jensen has been through a real rough time, instead of dealing with it, he turned into a walking prick. Cami and Jensen seemed like they might not work. She just found out she had been cheated on and Jensen doesn’t do relationships, but they worked. This book was sexy, sexy, SEXY, did I say sexy? We have the brooding gorgeous a**hole and the semi damsel in distress and yet they worked.
There was a nice flow to the story and sadness when we found out what made Jensen the person he was throughout the story. Overall It was a nice read.

So I took one for the team because a friend asked me to.. and this was an okay book for me you know me I dislike manwhores and from the blurb I knew what I was getting into. But I was suprised when I read it.
Jensen is the town manwhore the one everyone uses for his body and he lets it happen because he knows he doesn't deserve love for what happened in the past. Which i felt so bad for the guy but then he opened his mouth to act like a dick. Que meeting Cami a 4th grade teacher finding out her bf of 5 years been cheating on her with another teacher yes they all work together talk about crappy hand. Their first meeting wasn't a good one those claws were out when she wanted to rent a place from him and he was a douche towards her because she didn't want him or his body just his apartment. So that's what draws him towards her. Their banter was funny and he had eyes for her but Cami did see few times around town past ex flings trying to get his attention again but he didn't give them the time and day his eyes were for Cami which was great. We do see drama from Cami ex and another secert-ish about Jensen past along with lots of fighting between the two.
Also.. these two were fking drinking wayyy to much I'm surprised they weren't hung over with how much beer/wine they drank on the daily and it wasn't cute.
Low angst, ow/om drama (past flings and h ex boyfriend), no cheating, Drama, secondary charas, sexy times, no virgins (manwhore you do see a sex scene with ow before meeting the h)

It's almost like this was written by two different authors. I had to check if this was indeed so. Seems not.
He is exactly like he should be. Mean, dominant, uber confident prick that loses his prickiness when need be. Also coherent stream of thought that seems like it's going somewhere. Not that it necessarily does. Real man right there.
She is all cheary cherry poppy chiklity irritating grating as fuck. More appropriate as human sidekick to cat detective in one of those ridiculous cosy mysteries. Still waiting for hedgehog private eye while we're at it. Her mental processes? Chasing her own tale, what else.

This is another hot as sin book from Victoria Ashley. This author loves to give us sexy as sin alpha males who are sometimes complete A-holes but claim your heart before the end of the first chapter. The story flowed really well and as always, Victoria delivered a first class story with charismatic characters that were a pleasure to read.
Jenson is prime alpha male, extremely sexy and he knows it, woman fall at his feet and he is more than happy to accommodate their needs. Totally gorgeous, with that kind of dirty mouth that can make your panties melt to order, but he's a man harbouring a deep-seated guilt from a previous relationship, which has made him the man he is today. I loved his character. When he meets Cami he doesn't bargain for his emotions to be tested by this feisty young lady who has no interest in his body and is just looking for somewhere to live.

Holy mother of God!! A$$hole and Angry equals hot angry sex!!! Sex Material is like the epitome of perfection. Jensen is as hot as a nuclear blast and Cami is freaking hilarious. These two are absolutely perfect for each other however neither of them wants to admit even a smidgen of attraction. Jensen definitely comes with some emotional baggage that he's carried around for way t0o long and Cami is just the woman to help him let it all go. Victoria Ashley delivers another powerful story of love, anguish, turmoil and unwavering devotion. This is a must read and I highly recommend you stop whatever you're doing a read it RIGHT NOW!!

Well shit !!! I think I need a cold shower after this one.
Victoria Ashley has this knack for writing sex scenes that will have your kindle heating up and to the point of combustion.
Not too mention she’s written a Male character that is a complete jerk face. My favourite kinds of characters. And she nailed it with Jensen. I seriously wanted to smack the ever loving shit out of him. Arrogant and says the wrong thing at the wrong time. He pushes your buttons and at times it makes you want to scream in anger and in other times you think hot dayummm.
Cami I freaking loved her. First her jackass of an ex deserves to be castrated, but then again her and Jensen would not have met had he not be an utter shit.

Victoria Ashley has this knack for writing sex scenes that will have your kindle heating up and to the point of combustion.
Not too mention she’s written a Male character that is a complete jerk face. My favourite kinds of characters. And she nailed it with Jensen. I seriously wanted to smack the ever loving shit out of him. Arrogant and says the wrong thing at the wrong time. He pushes your buttons and at times it makes you want to scream in anger and in other times you think hot dayummm.
Cami I freaking loved her. First her jackass of an ex deserves to be castrated, but then again her and Jensen would not have met had he not be an utter shit.

Jensen is know as "Sex material" around town. The guy that can make you forget your name with no strings attached sex. Cami is a school teacher. She has a cheating ex boyfriend that was doing her wrong right in their place of work. She ends up moving into the house next to her best friend. Jensen owns the property. These two are burning hot when they meet. Its enemies on sight but irresistible attraction. I liked this book and the drama made it a more interesting read.

I like trying books from new-to-me authors. I took a gamble with this one but sadly, it's not a book that I like. She finds out her boyfriend of some years has been cheating on her with one of their co-teachers. (She, the heroine, her ex and the OW are all teachers at the same school.) On the very day she finds her boyfriend cheating on her, she moves out and meets the hero --- who is an asshole and the town's biggest manwhore. Things explode from there and then the MC's end up in love. And tbh, given the way she jumps from one disaster of a relationship into another one with the hero, I found it hard to believe in their love for each other.

Aannnd DONE! What just happened?! This book was AWESOME! Cami is fiery and hilarious. I couldn’t help falling in love with her from the beginning. I just kept thinking “GO GIRL”. Her not putting up with someone doing her dirty was AMAZING! Hear her ROAR! I feel giddy just thinking about it. Jensen, Jensen, Jensen! What happened to make you such a turkey?! Yep trying to keep this G rated (haha). Good thing he is such a BAD BOY. It is possible certain parts of this story caused some salivating (eek). Cami and Jensen are STEAMY together (wink wink). Jensen’s naughtiness definitely kept me from wanting to strangle him (haha). As all is explained, he becomes even more delicious (sigh). Mmm mixed in this sexy read is moments of intense emotion. Sooo Good! Are some future stories in the works with Jensen’s buddies? Lets hope so! Happy Reading!

Like all of Ashley books Jensen is a cocky alpha ahole. Who ends up being soft and squishy on the inside for his girl. I completely loved this book. Cami is the girl next door kinda person. Who doesn't take Jensen carp or tries to get him in to bed. That's what makes her irresistible to him. She fights the good fight. They both have a sad story tell, but it all comes together.
