And now it is Edane’s turn to find his soulmate.
While I loved Edane, a young man who defied his people’s rules and decided to be who he felt he was meant to be.
Despite Nellie’s mistrust, he stays loyal to her and tries to find a way between his brothers and her.
I was not very attracted by Nellie’s personality, sure she is hiding behind her masquerade mask but it didn’t make her more appealing.
Hopefully when her past is revealed, it will explain a lot, and it was very well crafted by Mrs Hazel Hunter.
Beware there is a glossary at the end of the book which explains some of her 20’s speaking.
But still, Nellie was not my favorite heroine in this series, alas she was a bit too conniving and selfish for me, even if she had her reason to play her role.
In all, it was still a very entertaining read with a little less of action than the two previous books.
And as it answered some question about the master of the forgotten castle, it opened some more as who helped them to escape the underground.
But it enlightened also the two remaining single highlanders from the Clan Mag Raith, I. Am very curious about their own story..

Time Travel romance and adventure at it’s best…..
Edane is the third book in this series and I would suggest that you need to have read the other two books so that you are able to know what is happening and not miss any vital facts. The clan Mag Raith have enemies on all three fronts the winged demons “Sluath”, Galan who the Mag Raith were serving as a private army until they abandoned him and also there is the Cul who reside beneath the castle, he is an immortal and hates the Mag Raith who deserted him which is somewhat understandable.
Nellie is the third woman to simply drop out of the sky after she escaped from the underworld as did the two women before her, she has the knowledge of the future like the Mag Raith her extended stay in the underworld was not in any way appreciated and she is determined to never return there and this could in some way be accountable for her very prickly nature that makes her appear and at times actually be a not very nice female. However, like the previous other two women she is very individual, totally different from her predecessors and her gift gift is revealed via inanimate objects and some of the things she sees are horrific, she is determined to escape the castle and the horrors that it holds.
As she begins to fall in love with Edane there is a culmination of the two other stories and the three are brought together in a way only Hazel Hunter is so very adept at I t is a story that has love, mystery and action and also that continues to keep you guessing as to the final outcome and this holds your attention right to the very last page of the book.
I look forward to the next book in this wonderful series, I am sure that it will be very entertaining and hopefully not too long in being released.

I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Edane
Immortal Highlander Clan Mag Raith #3
Hazel Hunter
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Edane mag Raith recuses a young lady from the Sluath and is instantly smitten. He's seen her in his dreams, he's sure of it, but she's not so sure.

Nellie Quinn enjoys spending time with Edane, but oddly enough she enjoys spending time with his clan just as much. As she plots her escape she shamelessly flirts with all of them. Her instincts tell her she needs to run away quickly and go as far as she can go and that's exactly what she plans on doing.

At the same time as the clan contend with her she is being hunted down like a dog by the Sluath, there is a mysterious occupant of the castle quietly watching her every move. Then when he realizes her unique gift is a can be a lethal threat he decides to get lethal in return and that's when a whole lot of things start happening including Nellie realizing who she really is with her memories slowly coming back to her. Now it's a race against time to either save herself or save the one she really loves and she has alot of choices to make.

Hazel Hunter brings you time travel in a way that no other has before. This time travel is old and immortal and just the way I really enjoy it. There are alot of twists and turns in this book and things you don't see coming. The main characters are perfect. Nellie and Edane fit together like the perfect pair of gloves. Reading how their story unfolds was incredible. I don't know where Ms. Hunter comes up with these great storylines, but she always knows just what to write. I really enjoyed the ending of this because it gave us a glimpse into what is coming next and ofcourse it's like going back to family because you already know the men and the women of the mag Raith Clan. I can't wait to read the next one.

Dun Chaill in Scotland 14th century

A storm had come again and it was time for another storm patrol . Edane mag Raith was going up to keep watch that the evil Slucth wasn't flying in the storm to attack them .
The Sluath are soul suckling demon who can travel though time taking people as they go. At one time the Sluath taken the mag Raith, (Domnall the Chieftain, Edane, Mael, Broden, and Kiaran.) They had all excaped them. Then came back to earth, got stuck working for the a druid named Galan because he lied. The Jenna showed up she also excaped the Sluath. Then Rosealise showed up after they came to Dun Chaill. All that happened in other books
Back to the storm and edane going up the mag Raith found that in storms they can fly to so they can fight the Sluath .
Nellie Quinn came awake on the ground to hear a monster man thing coming after her she ran for her life. When she thought she could go no more a Robin hood guy flying on a horse started shooting a the thing chasing her. That's how she meet Edane and found the mag Raith but she has no memory of who she is other then her name or what had happen to her. When she joins them.
Amazing action, fantastic storyline , the characters are so so awesome they pull you in fast in to the story like your there with them. I love this adventure. Hazel hunter is an fantastic writer. So don't miss this story or the series.
Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

"Edane mag Raith felt the storm reaching inside him, stirring the change that came only with the wind and rain." As he and his horse were transformed by the storm...they became lighter, then suddenly they soared up into the clouds. That was when he saw her..Nellie Quinn. She was in trouble and he did what any mag Raith would do, he rescued her from her enemy. Oddly enough, her enemy was also his enemy.

And just like the mag Raiths, Nellie has secrets and special abilities. The woman is a master at disguising them, but not from everyone. To say the Shaman is smitten with the touch-reader is an understatement and it is something he never thought would happen. Believe me when I say there is enough chemistry in this story to set a forest on fire and the reader is privy to it all.

Bottom line, this series just keeps getting better and better. The characters are wonderful, enchanting, magical and some are evil to the core but I love them all. If you are a fan of time travel stories, this one may be the perfect answer.

I received a reader copy of the book with absolutely no obligation except an honest review. I can honestly say, this book is a real adventure, beautifully written and it held this reader's attention all the way to the end. My congrats to the author on a job very well done.

Truths in the underworld💕

Edane is waiting for a woman to give his heart to, but while he waits for her...him and his clan Mag Raith continue to improve their homestead. When Edane goes out to patrol one day, he witnesses a Sluath chasing a naked boy. He intervenes by chasing the Sluath away, only to discover the boy he was chasing is actually a woman.

Nellie has no idea how she came to be where she is and is grateful to the man who came to her rescue. When she accompanies him to his homestead, what she discovers scares her enough to try and leave.

Many secrets unveiled about both Edane and Nellie in this book and insight into the Sluath, that kept me guessing throughout! The introduction of the next female who escaped the underworld came at a rather “weird” place and timeframe but she seems to be full of life and quite different to the others, so will make for an intriguing read.

Thank you to Hazel for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review and I look forward to Broden’s Story😍

Edane mag Raith lands flapper Nellie Quinn from the roaring twenties who may not be who she says she is. Edane is instantly drawn to Nellie and leaves himself open to being hurt continuously by her antics. Though the clan is a bit wary of Nellie, all eventually accept her except Kiran who sees beyond Nellie's clever glamor.

Nellie's witty banter ("Jeepers, Danny, your joint's a dump") keeps this story from being the same as the other two. Nellie's quick and thinks on her feet, which may be too much for Edane to handle. On top of that, Nellie has the gift of touch reading, which could benefit the clan if only Nellie were willing to share it. Cul is not happy upon learning of Nellie's gift and sets specific traps to rid Dun Chaill of her.

As is typical in this series, Edane and Nellie come together, and their memories return. Their time in the underworld with the deamhans becomes clear. Nellie has an attachment with the big Sluath Danar unlike any of the other slaves and has spent more time with the Sluath so can she be trusted or is she a spy sent to Dun Chaill to expose the clan? The Sluath and the clan will find out soon when the battle takes to the skies again.

Edane rescue Nellie from the Demon chase. She was running naked and didn't remember anything about who she was or about her relationship with Edane. (exactly the same than the other two before stories) Too Much of the same. I was expecting something new in this book but the only new thing was another naked woman falling from the sky at the end of the book what gives you the starting point for the next book that will the same too.
I was relieved that the sex scenes are not so intense an explicit and less pornografic. I was tired of skipping pages. Edane story didn't fulfill my expectations. I read all the other series and the two before books. Edane has nothing new.The mortals became immortals and demons are never defeated. All the same. It is a shame as the writer has a good way to manage characters and situations but the story loses strength and the reader ends up getting tired of so much repetition.

Another stunner! Edane and Nellie - interesting to have more about Nellie's experiences along with Edane's and her quest to discover who she really is. Her 'gift' could just as easily be described as a curse and how she deals with it and tries to understand it causes her a lot of conflict both with herself and the rest of the group.

Galan - a man who is convinced he is trying to get his true love back not realising he's falling further and further into darkness and is no longer acting from grief and loss but bitterness and revenge. He's no longer the person she fell in love with.

Will the secrets of the castle finally be revealed or has Nellie forgotten that piece of information? Attention will also be diverted by the arrival of another lady falling from the sky.

I really am enjoying this series.

I loved this book! As each one of these Immortal Highlanders find their ladies, I love how Hazel Hunter connects each of these ladies with a particular time in history. It was particularly interesting to have a connection to the Roaring Twenties in this book. Nellie and Edane are complete opposites, but their love draws them together in ways that are beyond them. I love how hard Nellie fights her attraction at first because of the danger she senses in the keep. Nellie is different from the other women and I love that strength of character to find out how to warn those who have now become her clan and family and to help them push back their enemies. Though I wanted to string up one of the clansmen for a time, I have come to love this series and am looking forward to the next installment.

The story of Edane and Nellie is a compelling, page-turning book.

Nellie seems to be a bit unlikeable at the beginning of the story, is she actually a useless, lying flapper, or is it all a ruse to protect herself. Is Edane damned to endless suffering for his perceived past sins?

The storylines of Iolar, Galan, and Cul are advanced further. We also get to enjoy all our favorite characters from earlier books in the series.

You would think with each story following a general theme; it might get old. Absolutely not, each story is unique and entertaining.

Edane is a worthy entry into Hazel Hunter’s Mag Raith series.

Another fantastic read! When Edane finds Nellie, he is drawn to protect her. As with the previous ladies, Nellie does not remember her past. Edane and Nellie do not share the same skin work, but there is a connection. Nellie begins to learn the lifestyle of the highlanders. The clan feels that she is hiding facts from them. Edane helps Nellie remember their time, in the underworld. The bonding between Edane, and Nellie is a slow process. The plot is full of love, magic, and mystery. They are still finding/discovering traps in the castle. The clan were able kill more Sluath demons in this book! I could not put this book down! The series gets better with each book!

The Immortal Highlander series is beyond brillian. It has captivated me and enchanted me from the first book and Edane is a stellar addition to the series. Edane is a wonderful man who you won't be able to resist and he will creep into your heart and steal it away for keeps. His and Nellie's story is so much more than a mere romance it has layers and depths that you won't be expecting and this was one that will stay with me for a while. Can Edane keep Nellie safe and can these two navigate this dangerous and unusual path and create something real and meaningful together?

The author does time travel right. This series just keeps getting better, as a new couple finds their way to happiness. There are unrelenting foes, revelations, questions, tensions, and romance woven together that keeps me engaged in this layered story.
I like how the writer brings women from different time periods to the men of the Mag Raith, each with a gift / ability that is relevant to ongoing events.
Edane had his hands full with Nellie. Her turn of 1920's colloquial expressions had me laughing, even as they perplexed Edane. Another very entertaining to the series. which should be read in order.

Edane meets Nellie during a thunder and lightning storm. He's living in the 1300s. She arrives from the 1930s. She is a fiesty, intelligent dancing girl. I LOVED the 30's slang being tossed into the Scottish gaelic tongue. There is the story of how they fell in love twice and the adventure and suspense which comes from ancient time. There is humor, suspense, and passion. Once it's opened, you won't want to stop until you've read the last word! Oh, I am a privileged ARC reader who loves reading Hazel Hunter.

Just keeps getting better...

This series just keeps getting better and better. Yet, that doesn't surprise me. I realized several, several books ago that Ms. Hunter has a way of world-building that A: makes you "see" it and B: sucks you in. You feel like you have a vested interest in the characters and their situations. Edane and Nellie were no exception. So looking forward to book 4....

The third book does not disappoint, the series just keeps getting better. A 1920's Flapper finds herself in a rundown castle with a sinister feel to it. Why and how she got there is a mystery as is the demon chasing her. But her rescuer has some answers for her. As the plot evolves and new characters are added, you find yourself immersed in their world and you just don't want to put it down. I'm looking forward to read the next book.

So good! Edane has found his woman, he thinks. Unlike the others, their symbols do not match. He can’t remember but he feels he knows her, and knows her well. Nellie is biding the truth, her truth. Her life has been a web of lies. The only truth is the feelings she has for him. But to save him, to save the clan, she can’t stay. But will he let her leave?
Another fantastic book in this series. We keep going deeper and getting closer to the darkness that is the truth.

I think this has to be my favourite of the series so far. Nellie was a character I disliked from the start, but as the layers are peeled back one after the other, I actually became a Nellie fan! Galan has a huge role in this one, as does the watcher. The plot becomes more complex, and I was completely hooked. Great read.

Awesome addition to this great series. Well-written storyline with twists, mystery, secrets, suspense and edge of your seat action. Edane and Nellie both have traumas in their past that affects their current situation. Who is the real Nellie Quinn? Can Edane keep her safe? This is one book you won’t want to put down.

Nellie and Edane make for a very interesting couple. They could not be much more different in terms of their lives when they meet but he knows she is the one for him. I liked that the author really worked to develop the characters and the relationship. She is complicated and takes time to fully understand her behavior.

Wonderful historical romance! An interesting combination, Edane is an immortal highlander and Nellie is a "flapper". Nellie has a special ability, but is it a curse or a gift. I didn't like Nellie at the beginning of the book, but as the pages unveiled more of her history and experiences, I found myself rooting for her.

The book revealed more about Galan, the druid who is trying to raise his lost love from the grave. There is also more information on the watcher.

Well written and definitely kept me wondering what was going to happen next.
