Three billionaire brothers: Cesare, Enzo, and Dante Sabatini have everything except the one thing money can't buy. Three big beautiful women Alicia, Bethany, and Chloe will teach them the ABCs of love. Follow these couples as they negotiate the riskiest deal of all, falling in love.
It's hard to believe when I get the call: an offer to work for one of the Sabatini brothers. Cesare and Dante head a real estate firm that buys, sells, and owns some of the most spectacular real estate in Chicago. Dante Sabatini is the youngest of the brothers, and even though he's an arrogant manwhore he doesn't come close to the a$$hole level of the oldest Sabatini, Cesare. While I work for Dante, Cesare is in the office across the hall—and too close for comfort. I'm not sure what misfiring synapse has my stomach flipping a thousand times a minute or my skin hot and tight when the man is around, but I'm doing my best to ignore it. Even if I weren't a virgin, I'm very aware getting involved with Cesare Sabatini would be a complete disaster.
Until the moment I find out Cesare is having the same problem. The insanely gorgeous billionaire wants me? I'm a plus-size woman who has become numb to insults I have heard about my weight. I'm far from numb at the idea of throwing caution to the wind and giving in to the dirty demands Cesare whispered in my ear.
Then I get a call I never thought I would have to deal with. My little sister is being blackmailed. I need twenty five thousand dollars or her future goes up in flames. I'm borrowing it, I'll put it right back.
When Cesare finds out, he demands twenty-five days and nights of my body. Only once I'm in his home and life, twenty-five days isn't enough—I want forever. But what does Cesare want?
Due to commitment issues I have lived in many different cities and my favorite is Chicago but I have managed to settle into Austin and perhaps my commitment issues are behind me. I have enjoyed reading from a very young age and it wasn't long before the children books bored me and I read the books my mother enjoyed Stephen King and Dean Koontz and I didn't sleep without the light on until I was about ten. I came across my first Harlequin by accident and it was love at first read, no one died and happy endings? It was a whole new world and I loved it. I wrote my first story at eight and everyone died, of course. Since then I would like to think I've gotten better and now I'm writing the happily ever afters I first fell in love with, with some hot sex thrown in along the way. As a plus size woman myself, I have started writing the stories I always wanted to see myself in but never did. And now I'm ecstatic to give BBWs the happily ever afters with hot Alphas they so rarely get.
Unfortunately, this book had several things I absolute hate in a romance book. Constant talk about the hero's sexual past. Constant talk about how fat the heroine is, and for crying out loud she was a 29-year-old virgin!!!! Yes this is mentioned in the synopsis, but I didn't realize she would be that old. I was expecting a much younger heroine. I was ready to throw in the towel 30 pages in. However, a quiter I am not, so I soldiered on. I will not lie, the first 60% of this book was a hot mess. Cesare was an asshole that ran hot and cold. Alicia couldn't stop harping on how "fat" she is. No one in this company had an ounce of professionalism. Who goes around telling people an employee is a virgin??!! It just wasn't great.
However, the last 40% was better. People got their heads out of their asses. The plot seemed to come together more. We finally get sex. Cesare gets a personality transplant. Alicia stopped taking about how "fat" she is. On another positive note, for all the talk about his sexual past none of his former conquests show up. Last, it was all wrapped up in an incredibly abrupt ending.
This was heading towards a 2-Star rating, but the last 40% brought it up to 3-Stars. That said, I am on the fence about Dante's book. He is a complete manwhore, and I am sure Bethany will be a virgin. We will see I guess.
Good story with a great moral about being comfortable with yourself!
I generally am not too overly fond of books where the heroine is a BBW. Though I have been fat and have been thin in my life, I have always felt sexy when I was thin and uncomfortable when fat so I just happen to like reading about smaller women or when weight isn’t mentioned. I have seen some of the previous reviews of this book and they mentioned not liking how much it mentioned that the heroine was fat, and at first I felt the same. However the author dealt with that in a nice way, when Alicia’s friend got on her about talking negatively about herself that way. She realized if she didn’t want other people referring to her like that, then she needed to stop thinking of herself that way.
When Alicia begins to find out how much her boss Dante’s wickedly hot billionaire brother Cesare truly wants her, she starts to see herself differently than she has in the past. Cesare and Alicia go through a sort of battle of wills since they want each other but she is an employee of the firm and technically off limits. She loses a bit of weight during that time, not enough to make her thin, but she is more comfortable with herself as a person. I liked the story and the attraction between the two main characters and the way the romance grew was totally hot.
There were some spelling and grammatical errors like a few missing words here and there so the book definitely could use better editing. Though overall it was a good read and a good storyline. I could see that Alicia’s sister Bethany was being set up for Dante since they said he was too old for her, then it kept being mentioned that she hadn’t met him yet since he didn’t come home for Christmas or a few other events when he was dating that gold digger from Texas. So I want to read that book also.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The concept of the Sabatini brothers’ books intrigued and excited me, book one HIS DIRTY DEMANDS left me at odds at how I really felt about the book. I wanted to know how it all worked out and I still want the other two brothers’ stories, however there were several issues I had with the main characters, the pace of the book and how abruptly it seemed to end.
Alicia has basically raised and supported her younger sister; she does a side job to make ends meet. She unexpectedly gets a job of a lifetime dropped in her lap, one that is too good to refuse. This job brings her into the lives of the Sabatini brothers, all gorgeous and rich. Cesare has also been the parental force in his younger brothers’ lives; he was instrumental in building their fortune.
Alicia and Cesare have immediate chemistry; they didn’t immediately hook up though, which I did like. The tension and chemistry built, they fought it, until it finally exploded. I like insta-love but this was a refreshing change, insta-lust not acted upon instantly. Enzo and Dante are charming and I cannot wait to see how they get their HEAs.
The things that bothered me – Alicia is so caught up on her being overweight, size 16, that it gets annoying. JUST ONCE can an author give us a plus size heroine who is confident in her skin? OR at LEAST if self-conscious give us one that once her man tells her he loves her body, she go with it and stop beating herself up. Cesare, he was a good alpha male BUT once he got Alicia where he wanted her, he almost turned too sweet, like cavity inducing sweet. I rolled my eyes often.
I did enjoy HIS DIRTY DEMANDS, it just didn’t quite fit all my likes. That being said I am not giving up on Ms. Murphy, I will be watching for the next installment.
I enjoyed the book but I cannot express more in emphatically how much it was in need of an editor. The absolute lack of punctuation. The confusion about who was speaking when. Continuity errors. The pages of unnecessary exposition that could’ve trimmed down the book considerably. It was so frustrating.
That being said, it was still enjoyable read. I enjoyed the characters and it was very steamy.
Oh lord where to start with this one... It just wasn’t good. Like at all.
If You think you are gonna be getting some sexy romance based around the fact he’s blackmailing her for 25 nights of passion or whatever. No. NOPE. No no no that’s not what we got. Nope.
What we get is shitty INST LOVE and insta LUST based around an unbelievable office setting that leads to them moving in together. Might as well stop reading at 40% because the rest is basically just a stupidly long epilogue of them fucking in every chapter and them living together. Nothing actually happens after they move in together and the sex is so boring and shitty to the point where I just started to skip the sex scenes.
Anyway Cue the rich, sexy, billionaire who swore off love and marriage but fell head over heals in love with the heroine the second he laid eyes on her but is refusing to acknowledge his feeling so he decides to be a jerk just to turn around and be nice the next second. *rolls eyes* so cliche and overused not to mention fucking annoying. I’m all for a bad boy who’s mean and tough but only nice and loving to his woman but it only works when you do it right. In case you were wondering Fiona Murphy didn’t do it right.
Alicia. A previous school office worker who gets recruited by her friend to be her replacement as Cesare’s brothers PA. Cesare try’s to stay away from her, Alicia try’s to get close to him blah blah blah minor drama or whatever. They both want each other. It’s a very predictable book.
I think one of my biggest problem with this book besides everything in it is Alicia can’t stop talking about how fat she is but she’s a size 16 that’s not really fat it just makes her more curvey than fat. Sometimes the way she acts you would think she is 400 pounds. Anyway Alicia is a 30 year old VIRGIN. Yea you heard me right. 30 year old virgin.... Cesare makes such a big deal about it and how he can’t fuck a virgin she will fall in love with him and blah blah blah but then suddenly it doesn’t matter and he fucks her. This guy is so hot and cold.
Cesare and his brother are billionaires but they only buy and sell Real estate in Chicago. I’m no expert but I doubt you will become a billionaire from that.
So let’s talk about some really bad and unbelievable stuff now.
They give Alicia a clothing allowance but it’s huge. Basically they are just like go to store anything you want we will buy it for you.
She stole 25K from the company and then returned it in 5 days but they acted like it wasn’t a big deal and they were more concerned about the fact that something happened that made her need the 25k. Excuse me what? No they would be pissed and fire her. They have only know her for 6 weeks and she stole from the company. They just let her off the hook and coddled her and let her keep her job. They weren’t mad or upset. WHAT. THE. FUCK. Talk about unbelievable.
Also she’s super self conscious and has low self esteem and when they fuck for the first time she magically had confidence and isn’t nervous about him seeing her naked let alone being a virgin who is about to have sex for the first time. Um hi. Pretty sure you would be at least a little nervous and where did all the confidence come from?
She gets strep throat in the book and you would think she was dying. She was weak, she could barley stay awake and could barley keep her eyes open. She couldn’t walk. What? No. That is not what’s it’s like to have step throat at all. Your throat so affected not your whole body. This was over the top stupid.
Also she moves in and magically starts spending all his money decorating and going on vacation with him and just stupid shit. The amount of times she starts taking off work and shit or going in late. Yes she’s in a relationship now but she still has a job as Dante’s pa(Cesare’s brother is Dante) like you can’t just neglect your job.
So yea this book sucked and was unbelievable
Apparently I hate myself because I actually finished this book. How I managed to find the will to finished this book? Well I’m still asking myself that question. Was it worth it no.
Juvenile rubbish. Seriously, all the high stars makes me question the education, maturity level and honesty of readers. This book was horrendously bad. Truly awful! The entire thing is juveneile and cringingly immature, I just couldn't get through it. What woman says she's too fat to do a job she's qualified for? Um... none of them! And what woman would actually claim to be an author yet write their heroine thinking, "he was one of the few men who didn't shrivel in horror from being around my fat ass"! It's disgraceful and disgusting that this author, a woman, would write her heroine saying that about herself. And she's only a size 16 and 5"9, meaning she wouldn't even actually look slightly overweight.
The explosion of totally inappropriate personal information she spewed onto her new, potential boss, in the first five seconds of interviewing with him, about her unless mother, her unless grandmother, having to sacrifice her life to take care of her little sister, having to be fostered, having to live in one room, having to make quilts to sell just to be able to afford food, yada yada yada. Awful rubbish! The boss doesn't even get a word in edge ways. It's ridiculous.
I honestly had to wonder if the so called author has ever actually had a real job before, if she believes this inappropriate, unprofessional verbal spewing of way too OTT personal information is okay. It's not! And if the blurb setting this up as a slightly dubious, blackmail plot, where he 'forces' her into being with him because she steals from him, is what had you clicking on this then you should move along quickly because that doesn't happen. She wants him throws herself at him constantly, literally begs him to take her. Eye roll bad.
Filled with endless, mindless prattling of unimportant detail, like ten pages discussing her getting a job. Followed by endless pages of descriptions of the office floor, and the many silk sofas in there. Yes, it said silk sofas in an office work place, and he's apparently wearing a silk suit. Just weird. Followed by more endless pages of what her new job schedule includes, literally pages upon pages. Followed by more pages of descriptions of apartments and offices. The majority of this is just descriptions of unimpressed offices and apartments. The tedium is not enjoyable to slog through!
Not even going to waste time detailing the lack of editing. Such bad grammar that sentences don't make sense, wrong punctuation, wrong tenses used, the same handful of words repeated sentence after sentence etc. Suffice to say there was no editing. The repetition was irritating and again juvenile, because the author has the hero thinking six times in the very short sex scene that "she's wet for me", sure she uses the words 'weeping', or her 'juices" etc but it's all a variation of him thinking the same thing in the short paragraph.
So the so called author clearly did not re-read this for repetition, did not have it edited, and doesn't have the vocabulary or maturity to vary the scenes. Nothing but tedious descriptions of unimportant offices and apartments and cringing teen immaturity. There more descriptions of rooms than anything in this. Shocked people would rate this at all. Biggest pile of juvenile, cringingly immature, unprofessional rubbish I have ever read.
His Dirty Demands by Fiona Murphy is the story of Cesare Sabatini and Alicia Jeffries. Alicia is on her own taking care of her younger sister. Alicia doesn't have a good self opinion about her looks I thought due to some weight issues. But for me she was a strong beautiful heroine who was trying to do the best she could. When a job comes up to work for Dante Sabatini she takes it. Then she meets Cesare who is the older brother. Cesare has taken to helping and raising his brother's since their parents aren't in the picture anymore. Cesare has no want or room for a relationship even now that he is a successful businessman. But when he spots Alicia he is immediately aware of her and she to him. But they try to ignore their feelings until they no longer can do so. Enjoyed their story and hope to read more from this author.
Le sigh. I have mixed feelings about this book. I was honestly tempted to DNF it - something about the writing style didn't vibe with me. Both Cesare and Alicia have compelling backstories that made them a compatible couple and the chemistry between them was palpable. But they were also very hot and cold with each other in the beginning and the transition from pseudo-enemies to lovers happened very quickly and while there was definitely some instalust involved, Cesare went from being VERY anti-relationship and commitment to diving head first in with Alicia with little explanation as to what caused his attitude adjustment. Don't get me wrong, I finished the book and it wasn't bad. There was just something about it that didn't click for me personally. 2.5 out of 5 wine glasses.
I really enjoyed this story and the lead up of gives for the other 2 brothers! I loved their relationships as a central part of the story.
I think what really stood out to me was that despite the darker 'feel' that the title and maybe even the cover may give this book, the story itself was actually quite sweet and not dark at all. Cesare was a great character with relatable fears and issues. As the story evolves it becomes much more than a boss/employee relationship between him and Alicia.
Recommend for a great read and looking forward to the next 2 books.
Cesare is a tough and cocky alpha, and Alicia is an introvert who works hard in order to support herself as well as her little sister, and there is instant chemistry between them. Alicia had has a rough upbringing, and when her little sister is in trouble, she will do whatever she has to in order to solve this problem. This is a good story, and the only down side in my opinion, is that Alicia’s insecurities were a tad over the top. I look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I recommend for all.
Another amazing book by Fiona Murphy! Alicia was a sweetheart but don’t poke the bear she can be pretty fierce! Cesare was a workaholic, sometimes a hard a** but caring. I enjoyed the build up between Cesare and Alicia! Cesare and Alicia have lust at first sight but the more Cesare learns about his brother’s new employee the more he resists. And when he gives in he’s all in and there’s no going back! I definitely recommend this hot read!
new to Fiona's writing ...totally was sucked in by the book cover. that is so cool!! not allowed to smoke as a kid ...but always amazed to watch folks do smoke rings ... hey it's the little things. don't smoke but it is still cool watch. lots of instant chemistry. when it says can't be involved with your employees ...u know that is gonna happen ... i mead duh, right?? great read. quick pace. will read more from Fiona in the future!
I truly enjoyed this book. The battle of the sexes was against them from day one. Drawn to each other but too afraid to let go of the past. In which their parents damaged them both into thinking giving into love isn't the way to go. I loved Cesare's alpha-ness, its a push and pull love affair. together they make it work. great read.
2.75 stars of plot loss romance. 🙃 don’t get me wrong, this is a readable book. I didn’t have to struggle through the first half but the second? My god was it rough. There was just nothing interesting going on.
This is a billionaire employer-assistant romance. 👌🏼 Cesar is said billionaire and he’s totally into Alicia, his brother’s thicccc new assistant. 🥵 Now I dig a plus size heroine, and I especially love when the billionaire boss can’t stop fantasizing about her 🤌🏼 but when the negative self talk is soooo constant it makes it hard to want to engage in Alicia’s inner monologue. 😅 and Alicia definitely doesn’t love herself. It also doesn’t feel like she’s trying to? 👀
There really wasn’t much plot going on. There are some loose mob connections. And Alicia is the surrogate parent to her siblings. Honestly Cesar is too 😬 but growing up too soon is something they bond over ❤️ Alicia is a 29 year old virgin, and I get that some might find this unbelievable but I’ve known a fuck ton of women over the years whom sex doesn’t just happen for. I kinda like the elder virgin representation 👏🏼
What I liked: Dual POV with plenty of hero pov 🤌🏼 Educated and hardworking heroine 🔥 she’s a hustler who makes things happen! Thicker than a snicker heroine He face plants first 💅🏼 The push and pull in the beginning 😙 Decent spice 🌶️🌶️(there’s anal 😂) Great background characters- I loved Dante especially, but also Lydia ❤️
What I didn’t like: Pacing felt off. Some parts I wanted to binge, others I wanted to skim 😅 I didn’t feel super emotionally connected to the main characters 😬 I didn’t love that Cesar had all these reservations that magically disappeared after he found out Alicia “borrowed money” from his company. Like he let them all go soooo quick and I think it’s what broke the pacing 🫣 Parental neglect was a theme but we didn’t see how it really impacted the heroine or hero emotionally. 😬 Honestly with the amount of story (or lack there of) this could’ve been a novella 🙃
TLDR; It’s readable. But definitely one time. And only if it’s a free read from KU.
It's book's written by writer's like Fiona Murphy, that inspire hope-faith-determination to never give up on "that right one" dream, to come to pass. Well written. Down to the minute detail. Feeling and emotion displayed in every part of the book. I started a bit backwards, with Dante & Bethany's love trials..then jumped head 1st into the deep end..here with Caesar and Alicia. Can't get enough of these lovable Alpha Males! Each turn and twist is relatable and believable.. which is more realistic than fantasy. Thank you for making those of us who are never going to be a size 2 feel as though there are well built, muscular Alpha Males who desire women who are curvier than hwy 1 between Cambria and Big Sur. Reading this set of books has had me seeing myself as worthy of love again. God made mates perfect in their design an nature for absolutely every body. I'll never be nor want to be a size 5/7 again. I've earned my hips..kids are my proof. Gems, to be treasured. But to feel beautiful at any weight & size is a 🗝️ to unlock one's self worth and inner beauty which intensifies our outer beauty. Have confidence & comfort in what ever size your at. Is what I choose to take away from these reads. Up till these books, I thought I needed to work on weight loss, to be accepted by a man to love. Now I see I have been looking at things from the wrong perspective. Love yourself, just the way you are. Treasure each day, never give up, opportunity comes when you least expect it..and be open for change.🥰
Quick, uncomplicated fun for an enjoyable afternoon reading - thanks for the rec, Amanda!
I could have done without the ingrained misogyny or weird obsession everyone had with the heroine's virginity, tbh. It took longer than I expected to get to the sex deal, but once they did they also left behind the gross attitudes about women and purity, and I liked it a lot more. Anyone else think that there was too much going on in that epilogue, that it should have just been an actual chapter or three? ... just me? ok.
Steamy romance between Alicia and Cesare, both afraid of commitment but facing an attraction too strong to deny. Cesare’s past has made him both a wealthy man and a cynical man. Alicia is a plus size beautiful girl with self esteem issues and also a troubled past. When her sister makes a bad choice, Alicia compounds the problem which puts her directly under the ire of Cesare. Can they get past their troubles and admit their love? Interesting plot and a quick read.
When Alicia was offered a job to work for one of the Sabatini brothers she knew she had to take it. Meeting the sexy Cesare in the elevator was not what she expected. Cesare is drawn to her and all her curves. He’s not a long term guy but will she make him change his mind? Out of desperation Alicia makes a decision that changes everything in her life. Will this sexy billionaire overlook her decision? This is a wonderfully written story that will keep you wanting more. You will not be disappointed.
I enjoyed how this story was a melting pot of emotions from all the characters. From gorgeous billionaire to the shy virgin. What I loved most was that it wasn't completely sweaty sex from start to finish ,you get to engulf yourself in all aspects of the characters lives to build a relationship with. This makes me want more.I can't wait to read about Dante and Enzo.

This one just fell flat for me, in pretty much every way. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the spice level in other books, but it was just kind of beige. There are plenty of dirty bits, but they all just felt boring and saccharine to me. I’m the kind of person who sometimes skips *to* the dirty bits. This time, I found myself swiping past them in an attempt to get through the dang book. Truth: I hate the phrase “making love” and the word “lover” - they both ick me out, and they’re both in there. Some of the other language around sex/love in here just felt… cheesy/silly/soap-opera-ish.
It all just felt very cheesy to me.
The plot is minimal. There is practically no conflict. What little conflict exists within the story feels ridiculously contrived and is settled incredibly easily. The characters are kind of boring, to be honest? None of them have any kind of notable personality, and they all speak in the exact same way. All of the dialogue feels wooden and robotic - there are long pieces of dialogue that exist to provide context to the situation but are things people would never say in real life. Both hero and heroine have contrived tragic backstories that are intended to give them depth and interest. It doesn’t really work. They’re both still kinda boring. She’s supposed to be this noble, self-sacrificing heroine, who gave up her teenage years/young adulthood/income/time to care for her younger sister. It just felt fake to me. Like she was some cardboard cut-out sitting on a shelf, collecting dust and waiting for some guy to make her interesting. Her entire personality is put-upon damsel in distress and it’s kind of annoying.
Tangentially, there are also a lot of grammatical errors in the dialogue. It’s something I would overlook if I liked the book better on the whole, but since I don’t, I might as well call it out. Also, the affectionate words in Italian didn’t work for me. It just felt silly. Maybe I’m just an old hag with a heart of stone.
And/finally (and to me, most offensively, to be honest): she’s not really a BBW. She’s a size 16, and she’s 5’9, which means she’s mostly proportional and maybe just a little busty. But mostly… she’s average. Honestly. I’m a size 20 and I’m 5’2… I’d give a lot to be her kind of BBW.
Maybe this book was just not my jam. That’s why I’m giving it three stars. It’s probably intended for someone a little less jaded and shrewish.
This was my first book by Fiona Murphy, but I’m pretty sure it won’t by my last. A story of intense heat between Cesare Sabatini and Alicia Jeffries. Two people from different lives, but the same.
Cesare Sabatini (pronounced Chezeray), is now a real estate tycoon, but he came from a struggling family. He is the old of three boys that were on their own from a young teenage life. He raised his brothers and they made billions in real estate and own most of Chicago now. After the tragedy of his parent’s deaths he has sworn off marriage and commitment. The first time he saw Alicia there was heat from first sight.
Alicia Jeffries came from a tough childhood too. She is not a petite woman and she has settled into being alone for life. She works as a secretary and takes on making quilts to sell to help support her and her sister. She gets the opportunity for a job that will help her with her support she gives her sister Bethany for college. She’s offered a position as a personal assistant to Dante Sabatini, Cesare’s younger brother. She’s a little warry of taking the position, but she figures it will help her financially.
Cesare and Alicia fight their attraction for a while, but after Alicia makes a decision that could get her into a lot of trouble to help out her sister, Bethany, Cesare decides that it is an opportunity for him to make her his. Alicia is regretful that she made the decision, but she is happy it finally made Cesare take the chance she has been wanting since the first time she saw him.
I loved this story and hated to put it down to go to bed or do anything. It is an intensely hot story between these two. Alicia brings out the soft side of Cesare and he finds happiness in life again. I am already excited for the next book. I give this book a 4.5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who like stories about Alpha men who are brought to their knees by one woman.
I’m honestly disappointed in the way this story played out.
The vibe you get from the summary so not exactly what happens in the story. We have approx. 30 year old virgin, Alicia, who instantly turns into a sex starved maniac when she meets Cesare, her boss’ older brother. Now let’s just ignore the fact that everyone at work knows Alicia’s virgin status and constantly playing matchmaker between her and Cesare; it should be stated she just started the job and didn’t know these people prior. You know it’s odd when everyone knows your business especially when the lingerie woman and your personal shopper know your a virgin with the hots for boss’ brother.
But let’s move on to Cesare who apparently couldn’t control himself the moment he saw Alicia; he had to have her, but she worked for his company so he couldn’t have her, therefore, he will make her life hell and tell her how she can/can’t dress and act with clients and she can’t date anyone, not even him.
Alicia decides to borrow some money from the company and returns it instantly; this gives Cesare the perfect opportunity. He wouldn’t date/sleep with her because she is a virgin and she deserves better; but what he will do is blackmail her into being his sex slave and move her into his condo.
I’m sorry, but this book was so boring and I just wanted it to end and that was at 33%. At that point, it felt like the book could have ended, but nope we needed 67% more of sex and Cesare saying that Alicia is his but no one actually talking about the future.
This was just an insta-love/lust story that just went a bit overboard and lasted too long. Cesare is a big softy with a tragic past and Alicia is a strong women who becomes completely submissive to Cesare instantly. These are not bad things but when they are prolonged and not flushed out properly you get a very long read that doesn’t add anything to the reading experience.

Alicia is barely keeping her head above water with finances, when she's offered a great job, working for one of the powerful Sabatini brothers. At first she's worried about how she looks, but when she learns the salary, she knows that she can't turn it down, especially knowing that she needs the money to make sure her younger sister can finish her college degree. Things get complicated quickly when she comes face to face with Cesare, as they have very strong chemistry, and she doesn't know what to do with it. And it's making him very cranky as well, because he doesn't mess with the women who work for them, even though she's Dante's assistant. They dance around each other for a bit, and while she is doing everything she can to poke the bear, he's barely keeping control, so she's done, and puts her notice in. However, something happens that leads her to making a poor choice that makes it easy for him to make her his. Yeah, I know that sound confusing, but I have to keep it very cryptic because I don't want to give the details away. But let me tell you, once he makes her his, they light the sheets on fire! And all of a sudden, their journey takes on new life that makes me so happy. But, there's still some bigger twists that happen on top of the already big twists that have already happened, so I'm just dropping f-bombs everywhere by this point. And the cast of secondaries are great, plus they have added more depth to this already great story. Fiona Murphy has penned the start of a great series that I'm head over heels in love with, so I'm super excited for the other two brothers to meet their matches! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This author is a new to me author. But having read the blurb I knew I had to read it. I normally don't go for billionaire romances but my interest was peaked and wow did this book blow my book loving brain.
It's a wonderful story about two very 'different on the surface people' who actually have more similarities than they expect. Both are caring, nurturing and supportive people who have made sacrifices to ensure the future and safety of their younger siblings. Forgoing and hiding their own wants and wishes on the premise of 'looking after their siblings' however... as the book is revealed it's clear that both have a number of insecurities that without the love and encouragement of the other they would never have the courage to even attempt to get over... never mind conquer. Their differences made their story a fantastic read, their similarities and chemistry made for an explosive steamy read that did not hold back or pull any punches. If your a fan of jealous and/or possessive heroes then this book is a MUST read for you!!
This book has a fantastic 'old school' romance flavour that ticked and double ticked all my romance favourites. A gruff and possessive ( in a good way ) alpha Male. A shy yet strong leading lady who kicked ass when she needed to be strong....resulting in a wonderful build up and an explosive collision of chemistry between the two! That is literally on fire 🔥🔥
There are two younger brothers in this series and I for one sincerely hope that they will each get their own books because I would defiantly read those!! And more from this author 💯🙌🏻
This book revolves around Cesare and Alicia. As the blurb states Alicia is very lucky when the job of working for the Sabatini brothers comes up. There is an instant attraction between the 2, and I do love a good insta-love story. Cesare is one broody alpha and Alicia is a say heroine who refuses to be a welcome mat and ignored.
I did enjoy the story for the most part. I love to read about bigger women getting their HEA's. The constant hot cold behavior from the hero was just a bit much. One day he can not wait to get her in his arms and the next he avoids her like she has the plague. I understand building the story up, but I feel like it took forever to get to the heart of the book.
With all of this being said it was a good book. I know it may seem like I didn't, but I really did. I loved just how sassy Alicia was. She knew what she wanted and did not give up. Cesare has many good qualities as well. He works very hard and once he realizes what Alicia means to him he makes a choice to make sure he gets her.
The secondary characters were well written and a big reason I will be continuing on with this series. I just have to know how Dante and Enzo find love.
I was instantly hooked with I saw this books blurb, instant attraction, alpha males and a sassy heroine. So, when I got an ARC I was so excited.
Unfortunately, there was something about this book that I just felt a disconnection with. Maybe it was the constant hot and cold behaviour from the main male character, that I found a bit annoying or maybe it was the constant mentioning of the heroines plus size figure that hit a nerve. Ultimately, I just couldn’t find that connection that I look for in a story.
However, there was some parts that I enjoyed which helped me to finish this book. It had a good insta-chemistry connection between the main characters and I’m always a sucker for big beautiful women getting their perfect alphas.
While I found the better half of the book to lacking in pace, it did pick up towards to the back end once the main characters got over their issues and we started to build upon their relationship. I did find that the secondary character helped to aid the characters and story along.
I love insta-romances, I do honestly, but His Dirty Demands fell just a little short for me. However, I do love discovering author’s that are new to me, so I’m sure I will be checking out more of this authors work.
