Enjoy as math and sports combine for a lighthearted romp into happily ever after.

More on Hart Land Lakeside
Come and stay in one of the quaint and cozy cottages at Hart Land-but be warned, once you meet the family and delightful cast of characters, you may never want to leave.
Fiona Hart is the devoted matriarch. Elegant, wise, and arts patron, but despite all her efforts, she has yet to find her own artistic outlet. Lucy isn't just a housekeeper, she's part of the family. She also fancies herself a real life Dolly Levy, except she's much better at cooking up trouble than the perfect match. Innkeeper and retired general Harold Hart believes in hard work, discipline, and whatever his beloved wife wants. Katie O'Leary runs the One Stop, makes the best Irish soda bread this side of the Blarney Stone, and no one is quite sure if it's more than her baking that has the magic touch. Did we mention the Harts have nine granddaughters?
Having grown up spending summers together on the lake, the cousins are as close as sisters-closer. Each woman knows there's no place like Hart Land. They can always count on their grandfather's gruff, their grandmother's sage advise, Lucy's fresh baked cookies, Katie's inspiration, the calming scent of fresh air-and each other.
Follow along with friends, family, neighbors, and guests as the Harts maneuver life's curves, and just maybe find love along the way.

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Sometimes being let go of your job turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Since the company Zane works for was bought, many in his department are let go. I was glad to see Zane was going to the lake where the Hart House has so many wonderful characters there and meet his grandfather. He and Callie actually run into each other when he tries to save her from falling over a cooler. They both realize they have more in common than they imagined when they first met. Callie has always been such a tomboy and now coaches sports at the local cottage. Callie’s star player wants to go to college at Stanford but is having problems with math. I loved how innocently Zane was able to connect with the young girl and help her with math. It is such a sweet and loving story. I always enjoy catching up with characters from past books. I encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

One of thing things love about the series is that they all have outstanding characters that I would love to be friends with. Watching this close-knit family have fun together and support each other makes my day. Each of the cousins is distinctly different in interests, careers, and personalities, yet all of them make me want to spend time at Hart Land. Callie is a girl's high school coach and she thrives in sharing her love of sports but even more, she loves the opportunity if gives her to make a difference in the lives of her athletes. When an unemployed accountant shows up she has no intention of paying him more than polite attention, but chemistry is chemistry and this is Hart Land. Add that Hart Land magic to a kind heart and she is lost in love.

I LOVED it as much as I loved the earlier books in the Hart Land series.

Calytrix: Hart Land Book 7 is by Chris Keniston. This continues the story of the nine Hart granddaughters and their search for love and a Happily ever after. The nine granddaughters spend summers together at the lake compound owned by General Hart and his wife. The girls were all as close as sisters and loved coming together at the lake even though it wasn’t as often as they grew older.
Callie was one of the granddaughters who stayed in Lawford. She loved it so much that when she finished her college degree, she came to Lawford to teach and coach girls softball. This year she had a fantastic team and could see them going all the way to the top. She was worried about Deidra, her pitcher. Deidra was very good and was scholarship material except for her test scores in math. If she didn’t get a scholarship, her family could not afford to send her to college. Callie wondered it there were some way to get the scouts down to look at her and to get her scores in math up. It was a lot to wish for.
Zane Crandall just received a letter telling him his position had been eliminated in his company and he no longer had a job. That was just what he needed. He and one of the other members of the team tossed around the idea of going out on their own together and form their own company. They both left thinking of that as an option. When Zane called his Grandfather that evening and told him about the job, his grandfather suggested Zane join him at Hart Land in a couple of weeks for some down time and time together. Zane took him up on it. Zane later decided to go down a week early and be there whenever his Grandfather arrived.
He arrived in the middle of an impromptu football game. He watched a young girl who he later knew was Deidra, throw the ball awesomely. She had some talent. However, the receiver was about to fall over a cooler left in the way so he managed to block her so she wouldn’t get hurt. He just happened to block Callie. This merited a supper invitation and a chance to get to know Callie better. When he walks in, Lucy, the housekeeper and cook, recognized him immediately; but he managed to keep her from telling everything about him. He preferred to be known as a financial analyst. One who just might be able to help Deidra.

Calytrix by Chris Keniston is the next book in the Hart Land Series. The series is based on the small town of Lawford (in NH) with the General (Harold Hart) and his wife, Fiona. They have nine single granddaughters who one by one will find their own love. Lucy the housekeeper is bound and determined to be matching them all up, but she is an accident waiting to happen. The General and Fiona run a small hospitality business with cabins, with their house full of people and laughter and lots of love.

Calytrix or Callie is a coach in the local school system. She is determined and focused on her teams doing well. Right now she has a High School girl who is struggling in math, which is preventing her from getting a scholarship to college. Zane just lost his job to downsizing. He was going to meet his grandfather up at Hart Land, but decided to go early. He is trying to figure out what is next and is looking to join up with a friend for their own small business, when he literally catches Callie and a football. Their story starts as Zane fills in as a math tutor and spends a lot of time with Callie…

I am in love with this series. I love the characters and the setting. Chris Keniston writes in such a way that we are brought into this world with some ice tea on the porch while there is a serious card game going on. I swear I gain weight when they start talking about the yummy food and deserts. Calytrix by Chris Keniston is a great read.

This series is an ongoing saga of the General attempting to get all of the girls married off. One at a time, he’s come up wit someone that suits each of them & then the battle is on. Both the girls & the ones they are set up with battle attraction, weather, busybodies & pretty much anything else you can think of. Each story can be read as a stand alone but each one builds on the one prior.

Zane is the grandson of The General’s friend & they decided that he would be perfect for Callie. His employer was purchased by another company & Zane was laid off. He decided to head down a week earlier than he was to meet up with his grandfather since he had time on his hands. After meeting Callie, he was glad that he did.

Callie is the head coach of the softball team at the high school. She’s very athletic & love her girls. She’s not the type of person a guy like Zane would go out with normally. He’s not the type she’d give the time of day. So why can’t she keep her mind, & her eyes, off him? She has to keep the attraction under control so no one notices!

This series is another winner. Calytrix aka Callie in book 7 is a High school coach and teacher.
She loves her job. Her one star student needs help with another area. There at a loss in how to help her. It all changes When Zane comes to Hart Land to spend time with his grandfather. He may not know it yet, but the longer she spends with him she sees he can help the teen. He’s an unemployed analysis and shows Deidra a different aspect which she applies to her studies, and excels beyond anyone’s expectations. The whole town is so happy, and so is Deidra. She’s trying to get a scholarship.

Zane and Callie share the love of sports, and the love of one special girl. Is there something blooming there? You must buy the book to see.
More to come.

Love this series. Keeps getting better.

Calytrix is the seventh book in the Hart Land series. This can be read as a stand-alone but each book does build on each other but focuses on a different one on the Hart granddaughters. This one focuses on Calytrix or what most people call her Callie. Callie is the tomboy of the girls. She is one of the coaches at the high school and has always been involved in sports growing up. But now she is struggling to help her star player improve her math skills so she has a chance of getting a well deserved scholarship. No matter what they have tried it doesn’t seem to help. Until one on the Hart land guests tries using sports to help her understand the subject. Little did he know that one favor would change everything. His help would change more than just the girl he was helping.

High School coach and teacher Callie wants to help her star softball player Deidra achieve her dreams of a scholarship to a top notch college. When Zane gets downsized, he decides to arrive a week early to Hart Land. Callie quickly recruits math whiz Zane to help Deidra with her math. I received a free copy of this ebook from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. Traveling to Hart Land is a charming vacation for me away from the worries of the world. I like how Zane was able to bring math to life for Deidra. I also liked that this was not an insta-love. Their working together brought Callie and Zane together. I love this sweet small town romance.

End-of-summer magic
With all the dire news flooding everything, it was a wonderful breath of air to get the notice that Calytrix was available to read.
Having been recently forced into a job change, I could immediately relate to Zane, both in trying to figure out what’s next and in struggling to deal with the boredom when you don’t have a job to fill your day.
Halcyon summer fun provide a perfect backdrop for this sweet romance. The only disappointment is realizing there are only two more grandchildren to meet their life partners.

I really like a book that makes me happy enough to laugh out loud. Chris Keniston’s new book “Calytrix” does just that. This is a wonderfully sweet love story about Callie, the high school coach/teacher and Zane, a math whiz who just lost his job to downsizing. He travels to Lake Lawford to meet up with his grandfather for a few days and meets Callie. Lovely story and just perfect for those of us needing a good book to read these days.

Hart Land is the series where emotion and common sense reside. Keniston continues to deliver unique characters, beautiful stories and a charm that just won't quit. What I love most about Chris Keniston is that she, like the characters she creates, dares to be different. Callie and Zane are proof that love can be a thrill ride. Whether slow burn or instant attraction, this series is all heart. What a beautiful surprise.

Who’d think losing your job would be the start of the best thing in your life? Zane got the ax on the cusp of a vacation in the Hart Land w/ his Grampa. Grampa & the General are old friends. Callie is one of the floral bouquet of cousins the General & Ms Fiona revel in. With time on his hands, Zane headed to the resort early. He met Callie. And Chemistry! Zane & Callie’s story is just sweet! A worthy addition to the Hartland saga.

I am loving the Hart Land series and her book about Callie fits in perfectly! I loved reading this book, I couldn't put it down till I finished it, then I was disappointed there was no more to read. I feel like we're getting closer to finding out the mystery with the General & Mrs. Hart. A little suspense mixed in with the romance.

This new sweet and clean addition to Chris Keniston's series was a genuine joy to read.

Data analyst Zane won't know what hits him when he meets his match in tomboy high school sports coach Callie Nelson.

With a town full of busy body merry widows, a self proclaimed matchmaking housekeeper, and a retired 4 star General grandfather who wants to see all his granddaughters married, a single gal doesn't stand a chance of staying single for long.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

Back to Hart Land we go in this very sweet story and fun story between Callie and Zane. Who can resist a meddling town thrown in and a General who commands attention from everyone, family or visitor. The story is realistic adding to their story while moving along at a good pace to keep the reader interested. Highly recommend this story and the entire series!

Another Feel Good Hart Land

Another enjoyable outing from the Hart granddaughters. These are short but entertaining books with a feel good flair throughout. They are particularly good for this time of pandemic when we are bombarded with so much bad news. Callie and Zane are both likable leads and of course the rest of the Hart family make their cameos.

These Hart Land girls certainly fall in love quickly and Calytrix was no exception. Put this together with a high school sports team and you have an excellent story. Looking forward to the last in the series.

Some series seem the same if you binge read. Others grow as you become more invested. This is a series that grows.
