Per her website, this book will not be released until sometime in 2022. I would rather authors not set a date if the book hasn't even been written yet. The last book in this series was released in July 2018. I definitely understand things happen but don't roll out dates for upcoming books 2 years in advance and then continuously push the release date back every month. Although I do like this series, I can't understand why it takes a back seat to the Secrets and Scandal & Bedknobs and Broomsticks series. Take a break on writing those instead.
I can't wait to read this! On a side note, I'm absolutely appalled by the 1 star reviews for a book that's yet to come out... That is so unnecessarily detrimental to the author...
Personal Goodreads pet peeve of mine (along with authors who rate their books): I wish reviewers wouldn't give one-star ratings to books that they haven't read. I understand the frustration with Lanyon's practice of announcing books and then postponing them (and I'm glad she no longer offers preorders because it was incredibly annoying to preorder and then have the date pushed and pushed until the preorder was cancelled). But the book's not out. How can it be a one-star read?
