THIS. IS. ADORABLE. honestly, it's just so cute ? okay, it needs more development, more plot. but honestly, reading about two flatmates surrounded by plants falling in love and being so pure and adorable is what i need last night. the art is super cute too.
Nawww this is just totally fluff guys that is worth reading! Basically it's about a shy uke who likes plants and meets a very decent chap of a seme who literally is partner material (not like other ones who force themselves). Also hands down, the art is gorgeous as usual by the author!
Boy, is it so cute and fluffy?! I love it so much! And yes, you instantly hooked me after that Mimosa pudica metaphor!
And I swear, Ayu Sakumoto draws the cutest characters! This is my second time reading a work of them (not sure about their gender!) and I don't know if it's a coincidence but I guess they like creating the roommates trope and I'm a freaking fan of roommates trope so I'll devour their other works too!!
Mikage, a shy and timid graduate student in the Department of Botany, is utterly lousy when it comes to human interaction. One day, he decides to become roommates with his tall-and-scary-looking-but-actually-have-really-sweet-and-kind-personality junior classmen, Nanahoshi, who has some financial problem. After that, it's just two awkward cuties living together while falling in love.

Oh no. This is just the cutest I—
Mikage and Nanahoshi had so much mutual respect and patience for each other. They always reassuring and bringing out the best from each other and that's super adorable 🥺
Their romance felt extremely lovable and endearing. The story is light-hearted, fluff, and almost have no-drama. Lately, It's so so so hard to find a BL where the characters actually respect each other's boundaries and limits. That's why this story is definitely a breath of fresh air compared to BL nowadays which usually skipped everything cute and just jumps straight into sex ((LMAO no complain tho—)).
I also love the tidbits botany 101❣ Since I'm majoring in biology, I find the information very nostalgic ((though i'm more of a zoology person and dumb on botanical courses LOL))
Anyways, I really recommend this for healing and therapeutic purposes since reading it definitely will makes your heart happy ✨
This was a very realistic and healthy portrayal of a relationship between a botany Masters student, Mikage and his junior, Nanahoshi. They become roommates due to financial difficulties on Nanahoshi's part and then start dating. Usually BL manga's focus on the journey to get into a relationship, which is what I tend to enjoy reading, but this one had the two main characters get together within the first chapter. I found I still really liked this though because they are both inexperienced when it comes to relationships so it was super cute to watch them both stumble through it.
This is a slow-burn with the two them taking their time getting more comfortable in the relationship and moving into the sex. There's lots of great consent and communication between the two mains both inside and outside the bedroom which should really be the norm. They actually prepare for penetration because you really can't just stick a dick up someone's ass without any prep work. Also lots of emphasis on how both partners should be enjoying sex and it shouldn't be painful.
There was some great advice from Mikage's professor, "If you continue doing what you like, eventually you'll find someone who likes doing the same thing as well." This is so true and I'm glad Mikage stuck to what he loved (plants!).
Overall, this was a quick read with no angst or drama. It's just two people falling love which can be a nice change of pace from some of the other BL manga's out there.
Wow this was one of the more fluffy and wholesome BL titles I've read this year and probably in a while! And, like usual, the art is super cute! Mikage had a bad experience when he confessed his love to a same sex classmate and since then he's been afraid to get too close to people, but when he becomes a master's botany student and his junior classmate Nanahoshi expresses some financial challenges, he decides to help him out. The two become roommates and it's legit the cutest thing to see Mikage nerding out about plants and flowers, and Nanahoshi falling for him. So sweet and adorable 💓
The story is light and quite entertaining. However, I was somewhat dissatisfied because the main character (MC) couldn't stand up for himself until the end against those who were discriminatory towards him. Even though he comes to accept his situation and is happy with his life, it doesn't mean he should feel content and stop progressing. I mean, the author should at least give the MC a chance to grow and defend himself.
This manga doesn't contain much unnecessary vulgar content. Everything shows how Mikage and Nanahoshi sweetly adjust to each other's rhythms without hurting one another.
A sweet, wholesome, fluffy BL. Seme treats uke with lots of respect throughout the story. Even the spicy scenes are super wholesome. With the slow pacing of the story, I think it would have benefited with a few more chapters, so that we can really get to know and connect with the two MCs. Art is good, and I love all the plants and how the artist draws their home!
ML says it’s his first time thinking of the same sex this way, and (a few days??) later he pronounces he’s gay ? that bit confused me. n e way, this was cute and wholesome overall, essentially a fluffy read to its core. i wish we saw more scenes of them beginning to like each other b4 the confession tho. i did rlly like how slow they took the intimate aspects of their relationship ^^
Really fluffy and really cute. I felt like the development between the two was too fast in some place and too slow in others, if that makes sense. But I do really like both of the characters.
Una de las historias mas bellas donde aprender de la naturaleza y los sentimientos de las plantas esta relacionado con los humanos. Nos ofrece sanación, ternura y sensibilidad.
A manga revolving around a man with a relatively rare interest, finding another guy who gets interested in the same: plants. I loved the facts added to the stories about plants, specifically potatoes and mimosas. Combining the beautiful setting of the protagonist's place filled with plants with the message the manga conveys, that as long as we stick to our interests despite being alone in them, we'll find connections and other people interested in the same, this manga makes the perfect read for spring.
