Shifters like me aren’t supposed to exist…but I do.
I am finally enrolled in the correct classes and my life would be taking a turn for the better, except for my new nemesis, Montrell Freeman. The powerful shifter professor, and fellow royal, may be sexy as hell, but he’s set on getting me culled.
Why does he hate me with such vehemence?
Not all is well with the guys either. Liam’s father is a bully, whose ambitious agenda involves me. Angel is struggling with his wolf and a gut-wrenching distance is growing between us. The Supernatural Council is demanding Jaxon take his rightful place among them—even as they ostracize him.
If I don’t learn to navigate this political landscape, and figure out why Montrell is set on my destruction, we’re all doomed.
Author's Note: This is a steamy, medium burn, reverse harem paranormal romance featuring shifters, witches, and fae. It includes dark themes, adult language, violence, and possibly triggering situations. Recommended for mature readers.
This book continues the story of Caprice and her mates at the academy. It’s a new term, and her guys have decided to try make this unconventional relationship work. Angel is still struggling with it, while Jaxon and Liam seem to have settled whatever hesitations they might have had. While Caprice works through the relationship obstacles, she’s still struggling to get above the culling line. Now that they know she’s not a witch, but a dragon shifter, she has a new academic advisor, a new dorm and a new set of classes. Too bad her new advisor seems to have it in for her.
Well, well, well. In my review of the last book, I mentioned that it was good, albeit a little formulaic. BOY WAS I WRONG! I am eating those words. Charred with no ketchup. Oh man, this book was such an exciting read, I could not put it down. There were a few twists that I saw coming and more than a few that I didn’t.
I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book. I highly recommend this series.
Completely getting hooked on this series. Desperate to find out what’s happening next! Book 3 bought! Hopefully Angel will wake up and put his big boy pants on.
Oh goodness this is an excellent series. Yes, this book was a tad bit slower on the action side but it still has a lot of drama throughout it. It keeps you glued to it and trying to guess what is going to happen next. It is well written and the characters are growing as the proceed through the story. I love their interactions with each other. It is most definitely worth reading and I can’t wait to see what happens especially with that cliffhanger.
Caprice is trying to get out of the Culling Club but her new advisor is not making easy. Pressure from the families is coming from different directions and not helping the real and someone tried to kill Jaxson.. Excitement all aroynd.
This is the second book in the series, it is a reverse harem academy story, love the characters and the story line, couldn't put it down can't wait for more
Better than book one. Cliffhanger. All books in series are available.
Be advised, like book one, trigger warning. I liked this book more than book one. I still don't understand why she deals with the back and forth with the guys. Jarrod has come a long way, my heart broke for Liam and I wish Angel would pull his head out and just leave her alone or be with her. The Tromarra king is freaking terrible. I hope he gets his due in book three. I'm also really hoping Caprice finds her true form. It will be epic. There are some huge injustices in this book. I hope they are corrected soon. Told from Multiple POV Ends in cliffhanger
An Enthralling Series! “The Fiery Shifter” is book 2 in the Academy Obscura universe and has a captivating and engaging storyline plot that bursts with drama, action, and enticingly sexy chills delighting the reader. The characters are authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow, to make you feel closer to them with each book you read. This tale has a cliffhanger, of course, to make you excitedly waiting for the next book. I highly recommend this series!
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily
I thought this book was good. It had the perfect pace. It took me a bit of time to remembered what happened in the first one. Caprice is still a very interesting character. She is learning more and more about her abilities as a dragon-sifter. There is other mysteries in this book. I cant wait to read the next one.

Caprice has a difficult year coming up with the teachers and students not liking her. But when she finds out she is a rare shifter her while life changes
I waited soo long for this and it has not disappointed. The characters and world they live in are brought to life by an amazing author. The FMC and her guys have so much to go through but have to keep finding their way back to each other over and over. I can not wait for the next book.
That was an amazing sequel, there was so much going on and I couldn't always figure out where the story was going but that's a good thing predictable stories are boring. There is a cliff which sucks but hopefully wait for book 3 will be short!

I love Caprice and her dudes. She is wonderful. They will do anything to keep her from the tromara king. This book is awesome. The whole series is very promising. It captures your attention and dont let go. I cant wait for the next one because this one left me hanging.

Captivating story with unpredictable plot twists. This story is fast paced with a lot going on but is exciting and entertaining until the very last page. There is a cliffhanger that will definitely leave you as a reader wanting more.
I read all four books back to back, i couldn't put them down.
I had to know what happened next, giving worred glances at the percentage left on each book as i followed Caprice on this exciting adventure.
Full of mysteries and reveals, heart and humour, frightning and heartbreaking situations. Cassia Briar wove an inticate and compelling tale of a young woman finding her strength, learning to believe in herself and of course learning just how Bada** she really is. Including hot steamy mates, new friendships and old. This whole series has became one of my favorites.
As this review covers all four books i won't give away any plot points or spoilers but i will highly recomend this Author and this series.
Nothing really interesting has happened yet other than finding the book.
Lots of spice, which is just bleh and skipped over because there's no chemistry. Also she 18 nearly turning 19, and they were all nearly 30. You wouldn't think that, none of them act like they are much old.
I dont see the point in Angel. He adds nothing to the story. He marked her as his mate yet stays away, so he is never really there unless in a group situation.
I just want to find out what's going on. It's just been dragged out
Academy Obscura - The Fiery Shifter: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance
Love 💕 this book and the series this far…… Caprice is great, she keeps learning new things about herself each day- she definitely is an interesting character. I cant wait to read the next one.
So excited this series is a completed. I’d be upset, if I had to wait for the next book.
I definitely recommend this book and series, just make sure to read in order….
Just when you think you have this book figured out, more happens, and I’m loving it! Caprice is definitely a strong-willed woman who knows what she want. She is still in the process of figuring one of two of her men out, but I’m really enjoying the slow burn. Personally, i don’t enjoy when the characters relationship forms too fast. I actually like this better than book 1 and look forward to the rest!
For the most part it is a well written book. Some scenes are just a bit lack lustre, bit more suspense and slightly more mature scenes and this would have for sure have been 5 stars. I do like the plot but I've found some scenes to be worded in a really immature way so I tend to skim read certain scenes.
This is actually book 3 in the series and I totally love them. The characters are well thought out I can visualize them in my head as I read the stories I can hear their voices the author did a great job. This is a continuation you definitely need to read the books in order and start with the .5 book then go to book one and then book 2
I waited until book 2 to write my review. I’m loving the story. The spice is awesome. Just enough relationship issues to keep you salivating for more. My only real character complaint is it feels like she is not taking her possible impending doom or everybody else’s impending doom very seriously haha I need her to start studying more lol
So far this series reads like one epic book... continuously working to tie up loose ends while making more as it progresses! A great balance of action and intrigue and spice. I have the abrupt endings but love tht I can dive into the next book!
