Digging through the trash and taking things that didn't belong to her wasn't how Trisha imagined her life would be, but after being kidnapped and turned into a horned raccoon shifter, it's exactly how she's turned out.
It's not all bad, though. She entertains her friends with her sticky fingers and tries to keep to the recycling bins since they're less icky. And since they've been relocated to the Furry United Coalition Newbie Academy, she only takes what she intends on giving back. Unless the person in question really deserves it.
Or is a handsome, if a little grouchy, wolf shifter.
Warren works for the FUC, guarding the rescued lab experiments. There's not a lot of danger at the compound, but he is aware of one individual that he needed to keep his distance from...
Until she picks his pocket and forces his hand.
As Trisha is discovering herself, she's also discovering how much she's into Warren, and there's only so much one wolf can take before he gives in and takes his treat.

Trash Queen by Mandy Rosco. Fuc academy book 3. Even though I haven't read the first two books I really enjoyed this book. I loved the story and characters apart from Jonathan and his mother and tj. I loved Trish and Warren. I also love the cover. 5*.
Trash or treasure Such a fantastic addition to the FUC world! I love the fact that this shifter is more obscure then some, especially with her special enhancement. These two not only have to overcome the differences in their social standings, but the added little injury of treachery and danger. The author made Warren as steadfast as they come and his little lady the perfect contrast of flightiness to keep him laughing and on his toes. I enjoyed this story and can't wait to see what the author brings our way next.
Her friend, Cindy, dared Trisha to steal wolf-shifter Warren Tremblay’s wallet. Rather than look shocked, she was actually intrigued. Trisha was a horned raccoon shifter who was very talented at stealing things with her “sticky fingers”. Warren was so uptight that it would be fun to see his reaction to a missing wallet. It wasn’t until she started planning how she was going to do it that she realized Cindy tricked her. She would have to face the wolf shifter and talk to him because her horn wouldn’t let her pick-pocket him the normal way. And Cindy knew she had a “thing” for Warren. She touched his chest to distract him, and talked about thanking him and maybe going for coffee. Then he said she should just thank him – rather than try to steal his wallet!
Trisha panicked and the thought of a white-coated man about to punish her for something made her start to repeatedly apology and swear not to do “it” again. He noticed her genuine fear and shallow breathing, smelled her panic sweat, and tried to calm her down. His steady voice began to bring her out of her hallucination. He was kneeling in front of her. And then she noticed everyone was staring at her and she pulled out of his hands. He let her go this time. But as she walked away, her wrist burned with an odd sensation where he had touched her. What was causing that?
Warren tried to ask Cindy what happened that she was so terrified, but it was clear Cindy had no intention of giving him any information. But he realized that if he wanted to help Trisha, then he needed to bring this to the attention of Doctor Valerie Stiffler, the shifter in charge of their overall therapy. These former humans had been experimented on and brought into the shifter world in a bad way. They needed the help of a professional to adjust, and he wasn’t qualified for that. He would have gone to see the doctor right then, but his hand was still burning where he touched the young woman, and his shifter side was going crazy. Instead, he tracked her scent to the garden outside and they talked when she calmed a little more. She wanted to get drunk, and he told her how shifters can’t get drunk unless they have a ton of booze. He told her he’d take her out to get drunk when she was released, and she responded that she would like dating him! He didn’t know if she flirted because she meant it or because she was trying to get something from him. So they walked back to the building together.
As Trisha is discovering more about herself, she's also discovering how much Warren means to her. He works here though, guarding the rescued lab experiment victims. He probably isn’t allowed to be with the “patients”. Is he totally off-limits? Or is there some other way she could get to know him better? Will he be able to keep her safe through the danger that still lies ahead?
This was an enjoyable story that gave the reader much to think about. I am glad that Warren was so steadfast and dependable, someone she could trust and rely on. Grab your copy and see what is coming their way. Will events pull them closer, or push them away from each other?
Like others rescued from the lab that had twisted their bodies and made them shifters against their will, Trish is trying to find her way in this new, bewildering shifter world, and in the Furry United Coalition specifically. Despite her struggle with fitting in and finding her place in the new world she’s been thrust into, Trish finds herself attracted to dark and handsome FUC employee Warren – and the attraction between them is very mutual. With so much on her plate already, can Trish find a way to follow the demands of her heart?
This was an exciting, fast-paced, funny romance with a lot of heart. There’s action and adventure in there too – Trish is kept on her toes! She’s the definite star of the story, coming brilliantly to life with her worries, wonders and sense of humor. You fall in love with Trish right off the bat, and want all the best for her, especially after all she’s been through. The shifter aspect of the story is really interesting, with all different types of shifters with various physical characteristics. It’s a fun world that Rosko is exploring with Trash Queen. There’s a lot going on with the bad guys that have plagued FUC and the FUC Academy in the past, so readers get some high-tension action as well. I sort of wish there had been some more time spent developing Trish and Warren’s relationship, but what time Rosko does focus on their developing romance is both fun and heartfelt.
That all said, this book will definitely have the most resonance with readers familiar with Eve Langlais’ FUC series and, particularly, the books previous to this one in the FUC Academy series. There’s a lot of ongoing storyline from those books, and lots of character cameos from previous volumes as well.
Trisha and some other former humans were rescued from bad guys who experimented on them. Trisha has no memory of her life before the lab and many memories of the lab are hazy or gone. She has gone from being a human to becoming a new shifter with little control. She is a raccoon shifter with a horn sticking off center on her forehead. Now she is staying at FUCN'A learning more about life as a shifter and learning to control herself. She is constantly drawn to going through the garbage and pilfering things. She often goes out at night to pilfer or garbage dig or just to explore. She has a few run-in with one of the shifters in security and she likes teasing him.
Warren is a wolf shifter who is known for being quiet and a little cranky. He is very attracted to Trisha but is trying to keep his distance. With all the things she is going through in her life, she shouldn't have to deal with him. Besides it is unprofessional. However he keeps running into Trisha and she has no interest in keeping away from him. Can Warren help Trisha adjust to shifter life without getting too close?
One thing I really like in this series is the humor. This story is a stand-alone book but it is much better if you read the other books in the series.

These stories always bring a smile to my face when I read them. The characters are so quirky, occassionally uptight, slightly dimmer than a light bulb but definitely entertaining.
The main female character is Trisha who is unique in that she has like a unicorn horn on her forehead when in human form. She is one of the unlucky humans that was experimented on by mad scientist trying to make shifters.
Her problem with being rescued is thinking that she has exchanged on prison for another with people still wanting something from her without giving her her freedom.
With this type of thinking you know the some interesting situations are going to happen. My suggestion is to get some popcorn and pickup this book for some hijinks.

Mandy Rosko has written a book of excellent originality with a horned raccoon shifter as one of the central characters who are also part of the FUCNA world that I just love reading about! Trisha is one of the rescued humans who had been kidnapped and turned into shifters as part of a terrible lab experiment. Warren is a wolf shifter who works for the FUC helping with the former humans, now shifters, that had been rescued. The interaction between Trisha and Warren is witty and sweet. They are so cute together and just perfect for each other. I love the premise of these books so very much and really enjoy reading them!

Trisha and a few other shifters were rescued by FUC, from a lab that turned them into shifters and then starting doing experiments on them. They now have their freedom and are learning to adjust so that hopefully they can reenter the human world. There is trouble afoot with spies wanting to capture Trisha, she has something they want. For those that don't like cursing or vivid sex scenes this is not the book for you, but you can always do what I did and just skip those parts. I did give it less stars because of those reasons. Would I read more? Yes, just hoping they have less sex in them.

Trisha and her friends were captured and experimented on, leaving them with shifter characteristics. The Furry United Coalition is protecting them and teaching them how to control their new abilities. As a raccoon shifter, Trisha enjoys digging through the trash and taking things that do not belong to her. Warren is a wolf shifter and a guard for the Coalition. I enjoyed seeing them fall in love and the danger in the storyline. A fun shifter read! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This well written book 3 in the FUC Academy Series was intriguing as it has very well-thought out storyline. These characters have very strong personalities and their actions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, danger, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced, good shifter book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I am will be on the lookout for more books and series by this Author

A light fun shifter romance, Fun characters and storyline, This is part of a series and reading previous ones would enhance the experience but is not necessary. Some unusual shifter types are used which makes things more interesting. A little intrigue which continues from previous in the series and some steamy scenes. Very good

Trisha and the others imprisoned by the mastermind were rescued by the FUC. Warren is charged with guarding them. Trisha has a thing for Warren. Warren has a thing for Trisha, but fights it. Then Trisha is lured away, because of a friend gone missing. Will Warren get to her in time? Can they find a way to help her with the horn that sticks out of her head? Can they make a relationship work? Come on in and find out.
This was fun and cute and cuddly, up until Trisha compared her situation to Cindy's and TJ's and realized that no matter how bad life had been for her, others still had it worse. It isn't easy coming to that realization, but doing so led her to take charge of her life and to make the cuteness continue.

A few newly made shifters are rescued from a lab and brought to FUC Academy to help them adapt to their new situations and keep them safe. However, Trisha has other ideas and one is getting close to a guard named Warren. Will he like the horn sticking out of her head? Only time will tell.
Based off the Furry United Coalition series, Trisha has been rescued from the scientists who experimented on her and turned her into a shifter. Unfortunately the big horn on her head means she has replace one prison for another or so she thinks. Welcome to FUC Academy.
It was an enjoyable story. Trisha is quite a character and she contrasts with Warren.
This is a fun story, which is very amusing. The whole raccoonicorn thing just had me giggling. This is silly and does not take itself seriously with the shifters, even the bad guys aren’t really too evil. Very entertaining

I want to read more in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Couldn't put it down loved the characters and the storyline and can't wait to read more in this series so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone
Another great addition to the FUC Academy series! A girl with a unicorn horn and a wolf-German Shepard shifter seem like the oddest of matches, but they bumble along into unlikely love, and thwart the bad guys in the meantime! It’s fun, it’s flirty, and I loved it!
A very fun and sizzling PNR that won my heart straight away with the wonderful, fun loving characters and the action packed and adventurous storyline. I am so glad I picked up this book. It put a genuine smile on my face and made me fall in love with a new series. I can't wait to read more!

Enjoyable read featuring a wolf shifter and human woman kidnapped and turned into a horned racoon. I voluntarily received this book for an honest review.
TRASH QUEEN is the eleventh book in the multi-author FUC Academy series. Each is a stand-alone, paranormal, romantic suspense story set in the FUC world created by Eve Langlais. You do not need to have read any of those books to start this series – I haven’t, though I wish now that I had.
One of the things I love about this series is how the authors seem to be challenged to try to play with the most challenging shifter they can think of and/or the most fun pairing. In this case, one of the experiments has become a racoon with a unicorn horn, and her fated mate is a wolf. Not only are their animals an odd couple, but their personalities are a contrast of flighty art-type and strong, dedication.
The story is a funny romance with a lot of emotion and feel-good smiles.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
