Baby, it's cold out.
Nine months ago, I hooked up with the funniest, hottest, most amazing woman.
It was supposed to be a vacation fling.
She'd broken up with her ex.
I don't do commitment.
I was totally cool with "what happens in the skiing lodge, stays in the skiing lodge."

Surprise Baby For Christmas fue un lindo relato, considero que tiene el numero ideal de hojas, no se hace eterno ni tampoco resulta excesivamente precipitado, y aunque ese giro inesperado ya venia en la sinopsis, admito que me dejo un tanto aturdida ese recurso que uso la autora.
Para finalizar, una lectura dulce, Navideña y con un toque interesante, encima los protagonistas fueron bastante agradables, por lo que redondeo hasta las tres estrellas.

Mí humilde opinión:
✨Hace nueve meses, me enganché con la mujer más divertida, sexy y
sorprendente.
Se suponía que iba a ser una aventura de vacaciones.
Había roto con su ex.
No tengo compromisos.
Estaba totalmente de acuerdo con "lo que sucede en el albergue de esquí, se
queda en el albergue de esquí".
Y maldita sea, sucedieron muchas cosas.
Por todo el lugar.
En todo tipo de posiciones.
Una y otra vez.
Fui estúpido al aceptar sus reglas.
Estúpido dejarla ir.
Luego la veo caminando por la calle iluminada por las hadas, un par de
semanas antes de Navidad.
Nuestras miradas se encuentran y la química todavía está lo suficientemente
caliente como para derretir la nieve. Ella es incluso más hermosa de lo que
recuerdo.
Ella está radiante.
Tengo un bulto más grande que el paquete de Santa, y todo lo que quiero
para Navidad este año...

Terminamos en Urgencias en Nochebuena junto con algunas docenas de
borrachos. Pero estoy sobrio como juez cuando el médico me dice: "Está de
parto".✨
❄️ Cuando comencé a leer esperaba que fuera la típica historia de insta-love con el héroe que embaraza a heroína pero no. Los protagonistas ya están juntos desde el principio teniendo una aventura de una semana y su historia no giraba con el tema embarazo. Hubo un desarrollo romántico más profundo. Así que me gustó todo lo diferente porque mantuvo la trama interesante hasta el final.
Era fácil de leer y aunque la lectura es breve sentí que tuve la historia de amor completa de Pippa y Aiden.
Me gustaron todas las relaciones aquí, la de la parte romántica, la de los mejores amigos y la de hermanos, todas muy bien construidas. Los personajes secundarios eran interesantes y cumplieron bien su parte en la historia, Valerie la mejor amiga de Pippa, Lexi la hermana de Aidan y su mejor amigo Dave todos queribles.
Pippa y Aiden eran TAN lindos juntos y sus escenas candentes. Adoré a la pareja y que las cosas entre ellos se resolvieran sin angustias.
Me preguntaba en qué momento Pippa quedaría embarazada y me sorprendió cómo resultó eso. El embarazo críptico es algo real aunque raro y les pasa a pocas mujeres, creo que la autora lo manejó bien aunque me el tema se tocó muy por arriba. Me faltó que los protagonistas hablaran sobre eso pero nunca lo hicieron. Aceptaron a la bebé y ya. Todo fue rápido y no se mostró tampoco cómo ellos asimilaban que de repente eran padres.
Este es un librito bueno. La historia de amor de Pippa y Aiden me tuvo encantada desde la primera página. Me gustó cómo juega el destino en sus vidas uniendolos para una segunda oportunidad y ese bebé sorpresa se sentía como un milagro de navidad.❄️

Another enjoyable read from Ms Knight. At first I honestly thought it was gonna be a bunch of eye rolling (can't tell you why cause don't want to spoil it) but it ended up actually happening on rare occasions and the author did a great job of being subtle with hints thrown in. Pip and Aiden were a dream come true!

📖📖 READ THROUGH KU. 📖📖

This December, more than any other, I have been needing fun, light and a totally sweet romantic stories. With getting ready for the festive season, I don’t want to read anything too deep or angsty and this book fit the bill. I was a little concerned with the whole surprise pregnancy but I felt it was done very well. It seems a little far fetched, but when you do some research, it actually is more common than you think. I enjoyed reading about all the characters and our leads were delightful. Pippa and Aiden have fate on their side twice to help them start their relationship but trust and understanding will be needed to cement their union.
Well worth the read.

This was a fun and sexy romance by an author I'd not heard of before. The characters were sweet and there were some great situational comedic things. The POV was great and it was nice we got to see the man's POV. A novella that didn't really feel rushed. Also, although I usually hate accidental pregnancies in a contemporary romance, I didn't in this one.
I will definitely read books by this author again.

me estaba quedando dormida en plena cena navideña, así que me tuve que leer esta novella para animar un poco mi espíritu, y la cosa es que me hizo muchísima gracia que terminara dándome demasiadas vibes a ese programa de discovery channel que iba de una sala de emergencias y llegaban casos super locos, y creo que justo hay uno en donde llegaba una mujer random con dolor en el abdomen y se enteraba ahí mismo que estaba por dar a luz cuando ni sabía que estaba embarazada en primer lugar, y en fin... acabé por revivir aquel trauma y qué miedo, claramente se me quitó el sueño de una.

This is a very unique twist on the surprise baby trope! I've never read one where the heroine doesn't have a clue that she's pregnant until she goes into labor. Apparently, it's a real thing, even though it's super rare.
I read My Smalltown CEO Scrooge last week and I loved it so much that I decided to give this novella a try too. And I quite enjoyed it!
The book starts out with them at the tail end of their vacation fling, in the middle of a sex scene. She leaves, they don't see each other for 9 months. They happen upon one another back in New York, restart their relationship and a week later she goes into labor. Surprise!
For being a first book, it's really well written! There's a little bit of language and the sex scenes are explicit and detailed. One in the opening chapter, one in the middle and one in the epilogue.
I will definitely be reading more of Harmony Knight's books if she continues to write them! I hope she writes a book for Lexi and Dave!

Pippa and Aiden a week of no strings fun on a ski vacation before they left without a way to contact each other. Come December, they meet again randomly when Aiden his dinner with his sister after he moves to NYC and Pippa just happens to be walking by. They begin to date as neither forgot about the other and had wished they kept in contact. On one date, Pippa goes into labor but she didn’t know it. Aiden did the whole family thing before the baby was born. It was quick, cliche, and quite instalove. It kept to the holiday theme and secret baby formula well.

Audiobook Review: While it would have been nice to have a female narrate for Pippa, it was still enjoyable. I just had to stop and think about which character was in the first person sometimes. The story is funny, sweet, and steamy with a definite surprise in store.

This is a great read with an awesome storyline that has well developed and engaging characters that have lots of chemistry. The smooth flow of the storyline makes for a good reading time.

Audiobook Review:
Surprise Baby for Christmas was a really good holiday romance that featured a very obvious trope. I liked that this story wasn't solely centered on that though. There was plenty of actual relationship building and getting to know you packed into this shorter story which I enjoyed.
The author was new to me but I thought she did a good job with the plot and flow. She kept things interesting the whole time.
The narrator was also new to me. I thought he did a pretty good job. His performance when telling the story from Pippa's point of view was occasionally confusing. I had to pay careful and close attention to know who's POV the story was from because there wasn't much difference between his leading lady and leading male tones. His voice itself is pretty good, he just didn't have as much variation between male and female voices as I'm used to.
Overall this was a good story and a good listen.

The secret/surprise baby trope is one i enjoy. I was glad that it had the twist about her not even suspecting she was expecting. That one thing i loved the most about the story was that it wasn't one where she wasn't purposely hiding the baby for a reason.
It kept me engaged the whole way through.
I enjoyed the characters, main and secondary.

Unbelievable
This is just ridiculous and completely unbelievable!!! A woman 9 months pregnant and doesn't know it ,loses weight and can fit into skinny jeans. Yeah right! Then of the baby is perfectly normal with no problems with weight or anything.

Pippa and her friend Valerie were supposed to go on vacation together but Valerie's boss called her back to work for an important case. Now Pippa is there alone and she meets Aiden and it is an instant attraction between the two. They have a week-long fling and they decide no other information was to be given but their first names. It has been about 8 months since Pippa left Aiden and as she is walking home one day from work, she sees him in a restaurant with a woman. Aiden looks up and he thinks he sees Pippa and he runs out of the restaurant after her. When he catches up to her, she asks him "what was he doing in New York?" He tells her that he now lives there. He asks her the same question and her answer is that she lives there. They start seeing one another and their feelings grow stronger for each other. They are out to buy Aiden a Christmas tree when all of a sudden Pippa goes down on her knees in pain, Aiden asks what is wrong and she tells him she doesn't know. He tells her he is taking her to the hospital. When they get to the hospital and they are in an exam room, Pippa's friend Valerie shows up and that is when Aiden and Valerie meet as Pipp's friend and boyfriend. Valerie has been working with Aiden since he moved to New York. Aiden is upset due to they have been waiting for over an hour and a doctor still has not come in to check on Pippa, so he goes out to get one. When he comes back with the doctor, the doctor tells him and Valerie they have to leave the room while Pippa is examed. The doctor checks Pippa and then tells her that she needs to go get a machine and another doctor. The machine she comes back with is an ultrasound machine. After the doctor checks Pippa with the ultrasound, she tells her that she is pregnant and in labor. Pippa is shocked. The doctor asks if Pippa wanted to tell her friends or if Pippa wanted the doctor to tell them. Pippa has the doctor tell them. When the doctor tells Valerie and Aiden the news and tells them only one of them can be with Pippa until she is settled upstairs Aiden can move so Valerie goes with Pippa. When Aiden is able to move again he goes back to the exam room Pippa was in but she is gone, he asks where she is and is told she has been moved upstairs. he goes upstairs but is told that he can't go in to see Pippa and he gets upset and gets thrown out of the hospital for 24 hrs. Pippa is thinking that since Aiden is not there that he has left her and she gets mad.
Will Aiden get to be with Pippa when she gives birth to his child or will he miss it? Can he explain to her why he was not there at first?
Can Pippa forgive Aiden for leaving her when she needed him or will she stay mad at him?
This was a well-written story and I enjoyed it very much, it will have you laughing in some places and crying in others.

A ver, cuando empecé este libro estaba con la mente en blanco, solo quería leer algo navideño para entrar en contexto porque ya saben que mi espíritu navideño se fue de vacaciones, ahora, la cosa es que es uno de esos libros que te quedas "¿Cómo dices que dijiste?" cuando llega la parte del descubrimiento del bebé.
Hace unos segundos en mi mente la noticia del bebé era spoiler, pero luego leí la sinopsis y ahí te dicen hasta de lo que se van a morir entonces: ¡AMONOS!
El libro gira en torno a Pippa y Aiden, todo bien, todo lindo, todo hermoso. Historia digna de Lucy Darling claro que con ciertas partes que dices "Ehh... ¿Y esto cuando se acaba?" Pero te vas enamorando de los personajes especialmente de Aiden porque el hombre no deja de ser dulce, sexy y divertido, ya saben: Todo lo que no se encuentra en un solo hombre por lo que apoyamos a los libros de menage. Entonces ahí está todo el lindo romance y luego te dices "¿Y el bebé?" pero cuando menos lo esperas te lanzan la noticia y si eres como yo durarás al menos 5 minutos riendo como loca poseída mientras tu novio te mira en plan "¿Qué hago con esta loca?" pero en fin, el punto es que la noticia del bebé no te lo esperas porque... ¿Qué tan pendeja tienes que ser para estar embarazada durante 9 meses y descubrir que lo estás en medio del parto? O sea... O SEA, no sé ustedes, pero me dio vergüenza ser mujer con este libro, cosa que nunca me había pasado por lo que vamos al punto de describir la personalidad de Pippa: Mujer con alma de hombre que vale vergas en todo esto de ser femenina y TENER INSTINTO MATERNO.
En otras noticias (Aquí usando otros conectores para que vean mi amplio vocabulario) se encuentra Aiden, es muy tierno y es tan gkjhjhkfk cuando se enfoca en conseguir a Pippa cosa que es muy tierna, ya que es sensible y cariñoso sin rozar lo acosador extremista, ya saben... Los libros de mis edits de mañana. Así que descubrir su fobia a los hospitales debido a su ex fue doloroso, pero es algo que superas mientras de ríes de Pippa. He de decir que no fue el mejor libro de la vida, pero estuvo entretenido y las risas nunca faltaron.

Me ha gusto y si, lo volvería a leer.
Les juro que me animé a leerlo solo porque leí “bebé”, pero la historia no se centra en un embarazo o en un bebé inesperado.
Recomiendo no leer la sinopsis, así es más emocionante.
Vemos cómo la autora va desarrollando la atracción de esta hermosa pareja, después de su aventura de una semana en las montañas de esquí, donde Pippa y Aiden piensan que todo quedó solo en ese, en una aventura, pero todo toma un giro de 180 grados cuando se reencuentran.
Es obvio que ninguno de los dos quería separarse, pero Pippa es la que puso las condiciones y Aiden las respeta. Después de unos 9 largos meses, se vuelven a encontrar y en esta ocasión Aiden no perderá el tiempo en sus miedos.
Es una historia fácil y super rápida de leer, no la encontraras aburrida, no te perderás en los hilos de la autora, ya que supo muy bien cómo desarrollar la historia en 168 páginas.
Los personajes secundarios me gustaron mucho, la relación que se forma entre ellos es grandiosa y se ve que la autora supo manejar el tema de la amistad, ¡me ha encantado!
La relación de Pippa y Aiden, desde un inicio se nota la química que tienen y es imposible no amarlos, con sus escenas candentes y románticas, valen la pena y se merecen el uno al otro.
Con respecto a lo del nacimiento del bebé, sentí que, si paso super rápido, y no se nos explica un poco más a detalle, como es que se llegaron a sentir o los sentimientos que les provocó, al enterarse, no quiero decir mucho para no hacer spoiler, así que...
Solo diré que es un libro que te puede llegar a encantar, como a la vez no, aquí no se juzga, pero le puedes dar una oportunidad, es un libro que, si puedes llegar a leer cuando tengas bloqueo de lector, por lo corto y entretenido que es.
Así que espero ye animes a leerlo.

Recomiendo no leer la sinopsis, así es más emocionante.
Vemos cómo la autora va desarrollando la atracción de esta hermosa pareja, después de su aventura de una semana en las montañas de esquí, donde Pippa y Aiden piensan que todo quedó solo en ese, en una aventura, pero todo toma un giro de 180 grados cuando se reencuentran.
Es obvio que ninguno de los dos quería separarse, pero Pippa es la que puso las condiciones y Aiden las respeta. Después de unos 9 largos meses, se vuelven a encontrar y en esta ocasión Aiden no perderá el tiempo en sus miedos.
Es una historia fácil y super rápida de leer, no la encontraras aburrida, no te perderás en los hilos de la autora, ya que supo muy bien cómo desarrollar la historia en 168 páginas.
Los personajes secundarios me gustaron mucho, la relación que se forma entre ellos es grandiosa y se ve que la autora supo manejar el tema de la amistad, ¡me ha encantado!
La relación de Pippa y Aiden, desde un inicio se nota la química que tienen y es imposible no amarlos, con sus escenas candentes y románticas, valen la pena y se merecen el uno al otro.
Con respecto a lo del nacimiento del bebé, sentí que, si paso super rápido, y no se nos explica un poco más a detalle, como es que se llegaron a sentir o los sentimientos que les provocó, al enterarse, no quiero decir mucho para no hacer spoiler, así que...
Solo diré que es un libro que te puede llegar a encantar, como a la vez no, aquí no se juzga, pero le puedes dar una oportunidad, es un libro que, si puedes llegar a leer cuando tengas bloqueo de lector, por lo corto y entretenido que es.
Así que espero ye animes a leerlo.

¡Que lindo libro de navidad! Sí, ya sé. Ya pasó la navidad y ya next... Pero la verdad yo amo leer este tipo de libros en cualquier época del año. Son bastante cute y me llenan mi vida tan llena de soledad. 😂🤗
La verdad es que, al leerlo, creía que estaba leyendo un capítulo de esa serie que sale en Discovery Home&Health: No sabía que estaba embarazada. (I didn't know I was pregnant). Y es que ese programa me resulta muy entretenido y jamás había leído un libro con ese tema. Y la verdad la manera en la que lo relata la autora es muy tierna. 🤭 Y sí, me gustó TODO, desde la protagonista hasta la mejor amiga.
Siento que uno de sus puntos fuertes es que no nos presenta el como se conocen o como pasan sus primeros días juntos. Sino que nos lanzan de lleno como es su último día juntos y sus sentimientos. La historia es predecible y muy color de rosa. Pero, ¿quién no necesita leer eso durante estos tiempos?
El poder leer un libro dónde no haya ninguna maldita enfermedad y puedas estar con tu familia y celebrar la llegada de un bebé con toda normalidad... Me llenó de... nostalgia.😔 ¡Gracias libro, cada día añoró más el volver a la normalidad!
Un excelente libro para leer, no solo en navidad, puede ser leído en cualquier momento sobretodo si deseas sentir esas emociones de ternura y amor que el libro te transmite.

I really enjoyed this one, one word of warning the author is obviously British judging by the spelling of certain words and some of the phrases the characters use. This isn't a problem per se, but as the characters are American and it is set in the U.S. that's a bit of an editing issue. That being said, I personally didn't find it distracting but some people might.
Pippa and Aiden meet at a ski resort in Colorado and enjoy a one week fling with no last names, no exchange of info, just a week of lust, sex, and fun. They go their separate ways and then many months later they find each other in New York City where Aiden has just relocated.
I love that the majority of this book was Pippa and Aiden building a solid relationship, getting to know one another, learning about each other, and spending time together both in and out of bed. While there was a surprise baby as the title tells you, it was done in a way that it wasn't the major plot point which was interesting and for those who don't believe it can happen, it does. My sister didn't know she was pregnant until she was 7 months, my Spanish teacher in high school didn't know until she had what everyone thought was an appendicitis attack at school was rushed to the hospital where she delivered a 8 lb baby. I absolutely adored the secondary characters as well and hope they will eventually get their own stories too.
Filled with so much laughter, joy, and love, this was a wonderful holiday story.

Aiden and Pippa spent an amazing week together at a ski lodge and then went their separate ways. Aiden is upset after she leaves and wishes that he had gotten her phone number. So end just goes back to work and ends up in NYC after he gets promoted. He is at a restaurant with his sister when he catches a glimpse of Pippa running away. Stunned he follows because he can't lose her after thinking about her all this time. When he catches up he explains who is was with and asks if she'll see him again. They start spending time together and when they are decorating for Christmas Pippa has deep pains in her stomach. They end up at the hospital only to learn that she's in labor. Will the baby bring them closer together or split them up?
This is an amazing story and will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

I absolutely loved this story it was different enough that it kept me angaged till the last page nd was just sheer fun entertainment
Pippa and Aiden had a week at a ski lodge She had gone there when a friend had to work and couldn't get a refund he was friends of the owners and spent a lot of time their The attraction between them was off the charts but they both agreed that it was only for that week and they never exchanged any details So why when Pippa left did Aiden keep thinking about her. In an attempt to forget her he moved to New York with his job and that is where things got interesting While out one night he sees Pippa peering into the window of the restaurant when she realises he has seen her she bolts but he chases after her he explains the woman he is with is his sister and they start seeing one another . What they don't know is that he also works with Pippa's best friend When decorating the Christmas tree Pippa needs to be rushed to hospital how will Aiden handle been an instant dad.
