I’m Sunny Shaw, and I can’t catch a break from disaster - not even at my own wedding.
It seemed like a picture-perfect happily-ever-after. After a gorgeous ceremony to the man of my dreams, the next stop is a romantic Christmas honeymoon.
Or so I thought. Unfortunately, catastrophe hits on day one of my new married life.
A murder outside my mom’s house, a missing wedding gift, and a beautiful cat in need of immediate care, turns my life into a tangled mess. And when a five-year old tragedy rears its ugly head, suspects are suddenly everywhere.
Throw in the new detective in town and, wouldn’t you know it, Mom lands at the top of that list.
There’s no time to lose. This case needs a big break and fast or my honeymoon - and Christmas - will both be canceled.
This is book 5. Love this series of Emmi Lyn. Finally Hitch and Sunny got married. All their friends and Sunny little 10 year old friend is there and her mom Anna. Anna came to live there again. She had a man Byron 5 years ago stalking her. And Sunny died of a car accident too where Bryon used to work. So it was suspicious that maybe Byron messed his car. Anyways Byron died right outside Anna house. So Annie was 1 prime suspect. Bryon took pure advantage of his mom. Where his mom lived she supposedly could have her cat Quincey ( Senior Living Center) so Bryon tell his mom That she needs to pay for him to keep the kitty. There is his mom his boss Marc and Irene His mom manger for Senior Living. That are suspects. So Sunny Hitch and Tilly ( They're older best friend and neighbor) help solve the case before Anna get out away
Sunny and Hitch finally get married. But will they get to their honeymoon?
Anna, Sunny's widowed mother is back after being "stalked" out of town by a nasty piece of work who is found dead in his car the morning after the wedding. But, who did it? Sunny needs to find that out so her Mom will stay in town and simply because it might bring her some peace around her father's death. Will the new hire in the police force be a friend or a foe? Can Anna find safety back in the area? And what does a kitten named Quincy have to do with all of this?
I love this series! Sunny, Hitch, Tilly and Jasper are quite a team.I always get excited when it's time to read a new one! Highly Recommended 5/5

It’s nice to know that marriage hasn’t changed Sunny any. Even though Hitch is now a permanent part of her life, she’s still stumbling into the middle of madcap murder mysteries, hellbent on hijinks, and passionate in the pursuit of justice. *ahem* Now that I’ve got that out of my system… The author has created a series that keeps me coming back for more with every new book. There’s a wealth of red herrings to lead me off track, but all the clues are there too if I weren’t so busy getting distracted by Sunny and Tilly and their shenanigans. I don’t have the first clue what the author has in store for us next, but I know I want to be first in line to go for that ride. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the publisher.
A perfect book to make you feel that you need to binge read. Getting married is awesome but having disastrous things happen after, is not good, especially murder. Loved it.
On the morning after Hitch and Sunny's wedding, the body of an old stalker shows up in his car across the street from Sunny's Mom's new apartment. With only a few days before they leave on their honeymoon, Sunny and her intrepid crew need to hurry to unravel the threads that will lead them to the killer. Furgone Conclusion is the latest cozy mystery set in the shared Blueberry Bay mysteries setting. All of the usual residents of the not so sleepy town of Pineville are back and Emmie Lyn has provided several possible murderers and a brand new lady cop to hold your interest and help you solve this whodunit. As fans of the series will expect, there's also a new four legged addition to the Pineville clan, a cat who plays a pivotal role in the mystery. A fun, easy and entertaining read with a bit of a winter/Christmas theme that was perfect for curling up with a cup of cocoa and a fuzzy blanket or with a piece of Tily's trademark Mint Chcolate Chip Ice Cream Cake if you prefer.
Another great book. This one was special as it included the wedding of Sunny and Hitch.

Love the book Sunny,Mitch,Tilly and the gang is awesome. Sunny and Hitch finally get married but will they make it to their honeymoon? Anna's back in town and her stalker has been murdered in front of her house. Sunny needs to find the killer to keep her mom out of jail. What about the cat that was found with the victim who is its owner and why did the victim have it? Our crazy Tilly is still with us you never know what she is dreaming up. There's a new detective in town can she be trusted. Will Sunny find the killer and her missing wedding gift? I receive complimentary books for review from publishers, publicists, and/or authors. Sunny's mom, Anna, is back in town after being gone for several years and is looking forward to Sunny's wedding. But when the man who was the reason behind Anna's leaving town winds up dead in front of her house, Anna is questioned by the new detective in town. So Sunny and Hitch spend their first days as a married couple in pursuit of clues to find the killer and get Anna off the suspect list.
I am really enjoying this series and this book is a prime example of why. I love the characters and their various relationships. The book's well-written and it captured me from the beginning. I did receive an ARC of this book and this is my honest review. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
Forgone Conclusion is the 5th book in the wonderful Mint Chocolate Chip mysteries. Sunny and Hitch are finally married and her mum is back in town. Shower before they can enjoy married life or even go on honeymoon there is a new cat to take care of and a murder .. with Sunny's mum as the prime suspect. This book has all the same characteristics, great characters and flashes of humour of the previous books in the series but for some reason this one did not hold my attention and I did not enjoy it as much as the others. This is only my opinion and I am sure other readers and fans of the series will love it.
Sunny finally gets married to Hitch. But a murder outside her mom's house almost ruins their new beginning as a married couple. There are many suspects & a new female detective to investigate. Then there is Tilly who is acting very strange. It takes Sunshine, Hitch & Jasper, the dog (with a little help from Tilly) to keep Sunny's mom out of jail. I am sorry this series is at an end. I enjoyed all the craziness that has happened with these "friends". I received an ARC. This is my voluntary opinion.
Fantastic book with fun and quirky characters! A story that takes you on a bumpy ride with twist and turns. I enjoy the animals along with Tully who cracks me up every time. The plot is murder and figuring out who the killer is has so much appeal. I love the subtle clues the author gives so you can do an amount of sleuthing yourself. A fun series that never gets old and keeps you on your toes! Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Sunny has an attraction for murder victims. It was good to visit Pineville and the Blueberry Bay area. I’m going to state right here that Hitch as the patience of a saint, he has married quirky Sunny and that means he also gets Tillie, Izzy, Jasper and Anne. Emmie Lyn mixes the perfect amount of quirky, humor, mystery and romance. You can read this as standalone but I recommend reading the whole series
Furgone Conclusion is a fun, cozy mystery with all the great (and zany) characters we know inhabit the Mint Chocolate Chip mysteries. This wonderful, clean, well written book has a wedding, family drama, a special cat, a murder and some suspense. There are always many suspects and several motives so that I never guess the murderer. You do not want to miss this book! I could not put it down.
So good! Sunny and Hitch are married! Yay! Mom is back and all should be well. All except another murder! This one was totally deserved, but still, murder! And poor little Quincy, a fluff ball, caught in the middle. Tilly was cranky through this one, so not as much fun. But hey, getting old sucks! Good thing her new accessory saves the day, and Sunny. Loved it!
Get married, go on a honey moon but wait a murder must be solved first. Another entertaining book by Emmie Lyn. This time Sunny & Hitch have to solve a murder to save Sunny's mother, save Christmas and their honeymoon. Izzy, Jasper and Tilly all help the newlyweds to find the answers
I really enjoyed Furgone Conclusion. This book is fun and interesting. I love the characters. The mystery is complex and has many twists. You will be kept guessing until the end. This is a wonderful cozy mystery!
Sunny just can't seem to avoid dead bodies. This time it is extremely personal. Loved seeing Sunny and Hitch married and so in love - he so dotes on her. Her mom is back in town and the center of this mystery. Can Sunny and her posse solve this one? New cop in town.
Love this series and this book. Sunny is excited to have her mom back in town and there for her wedding, finally Hitch is "family". But mom coming home has its own issues and of course it has to involve murder. Love the characters including new comer Kate and of course Quincy!
Decisions to be made and a murder. A mystery that Sunny must solve to prove her mother's innocence. We learn more about favorite Pineville characters and a new kitten to be rescued. At least the new detective is good! A quick read of a beautiful Christmas season!
Emmie Lyn has done it again. Another out of the blue mystery brings the friends together to help one of their own. All that can be done is worked out by pure luck in this case.
