It’s not everyday you get abducted from a strip club in only a thong.

While Naja had dreamed of someone rescuing her from her life, this wasn’t how she thought it would go. Sure, on the surface it was perfect. Her abductors were huge, hot and members of a race of supernaturals that were rumoured to be extinct.

The Manix. Even the name was terrifying.

But someone needed to update their definition of extinct, because they were cluttering up her kitchen, looking at her with desperation that had little to do with sex and everything to do with something more life altering. They insisted she held the key to their survival. They said she was an Omega and they needed to do all sorts of freaky things with her to ensure the continuation of their species.

Naja wasn’t against getting a little freaky, but there was a line a sane person wouldn’t cross, but the Manix? They jumped across that line with rippling abs and both feet.

However, the Manix were the least of her problems right now. Naja’s life was haunted by something worse than the boogeyman; a monster that leaves flowers on her doorstep like he was putting a tribute on her grave.

The Manix may be terrifying, but could they salvation from the very thing that’s chasing her?

Or will they be too late to save the only female Omega they will ever find?

Manix is a Reverse Harem Omegaverse Standalone with MPREG. Contains M/M goodness.

When I was nine, my grandmother and her friends used to read and swap Harlequin Mills and Boons novels. When I was busted reading one, they started sneaking me boxes full of strong heroines and rugged men. Thus started a long love affair with the romance genre.

Then I discovered urban fantasy, and fell in love with broody Alphas and sexy paranormals, and combining them together was a no brainer.

Then I discovered Reverse Harem.... Oh my. Why choose, am I right?

Overall Opinion: I’m in a rut and this was on the “most read this week” portion of the romance browsing page here on GR, so I thought why not?! I think I’ve read one reverse harem type book but it wasn’t anything like this. I honestly was just expecting some pure silly smut and was pleasantly surprised that it had more to it than just a constant orgy! The world building was interesting but not so detailed that it felt dragged out — which I appreciate. I might even try another book in this series because I think overall this author executed this well!

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Naja’s story. She is working as a stripper to support herself and her baby sister when she gets (kind of) kidnapped my 5 hulking men one night. She is quickly informed that she is the last omega of their supernatural kind, the Manix, and they need her to help prevent the extinction of their race. After some back and forth, the men decide to woo Naja but also realize that her life isn’t exactly what they thought and she is in need of their protection. There are some sexy times, a male pregnancy, some suspenseful scenes, and some sweet moments…and they get a HEA ending.

Point Of View (POV): This alternated between all the mc’s POVs.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I thought it flowed well and I never skimmed.

Instalove: No. Instalust? Yes.

h rating: 4 stars. Naja. I liked her. I appreciated her strength and how she cared for and was protective of her baby sister.

H1 (Hero #1) rating: 3 stars. Gatlin. I liked him but I don’t feel like we really got all that deep into his character and wanted much more.

H2 (Hero #2) rating: 3.5 stars. Finlo. I liked how he was with his family and how he cared for the others.

H3 (Hero #3) rating: 4 stars. Raiden. I liked him. I appreciated how he soothed others and was the glue of the pack.

H4 (Hero #4) rating: 4 stars. Ellar. I liked him. He was what I think the heart of the pack.

H5 (Hero #5) rating: 4 stars. Seven. I liked how he was gruff on the outside but mush on the inside.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes, but mild

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: No

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This ends in a good place with what I would call a HEA ending

Safety: This one is probably Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences

I thought it would be sexier and kinkier than it turned out to be and once I hit the 70%ish mark I realized it wasn't ever going to magically turn into the book I wanted it to be.

I mean, if you're going to dangle a sex pit with eyebolts built into the ceiling and around the pit then I expect you to USE THEM! With regularity.

DAMN!

Finally found one with MPREG! I can’t wait to hear all the gritty details.

Omg the immediate connection between Luisa and Raiden is too stinking cute! Really just Raiden period is wonderful. I’d take a Raiden and Ellar sandwich any time.

This book reminds me of the grittier urban fantasy I used to read like Laurel K Hamilton and Lilith Saintcrow. My tastes have changed quite a bit but it’s like riding a bike it seems because this is entertaining as hell.

I’m really appreciative that betas aren’t second class citizens in this pack. They have a role that’s just as important as everyone else’s.

When Luisa brings out the soft Seven, man imagine what they’ll be like with babies. This is definitely a bad book to read if you feel like your clock is ticking. I thought I was done wanting kids but this might prove me wrong.

Cute and sexy stuff aside, the conflict is great. Equally terrifying and interesting, Naja’s background is a living nightmare. She’s on the run and they’re quickly catching up, thank god she has not only this pack but their whole community to protect her.

The blatant bigotry is sad but intriguing. Funny how the majority of the society is blond. It’s like the aryan nation all over again, they just need to find a short little dictator with a weird mustache.

Good for you, Naja! 🙌

So, the birth wasn’t what I was looking for, not that it took away from my interest of Raiden’s pregnancy. But I was hoping for a more natural birth, if you catch my drift.

Really this couldn’t have ended on a better note with that birth. 🥰

This cover is glorious!! But the story inside, not so much.

There are only about 2000 full-blood Manix and only twenty-five male Omegas. There are no female Omegas left, so the Manix population is dying out.

The story begins with an exotic dancer who is going into heat/estrus. Unbeknownst to her, she is THE ONLY Omega Manix left in the world. She is sniffed out by a group of devastatingly gorgeous Manix, they need this Omega female for her eggs. That’s really all they need her for. It’s super insta-lust from all of them. Insert lots of convincing her to come live with them.

Proceed with lots of “nest” activities, MM, MMM, MF, MFM, it was all fairly tame considering the pairing. When it comes time for the impregnation, hang on to your hats! The male Omega swings his baby elephant trunk inside her front porch, his trunk sucks up a few of her eggs and the male holds them in his body. Then, the other men have some back porch fun with him, using their knots to ‘keep all that fun’ inside the male Omega. Somehow they fertilize those eggs through his back porch.

Each chapter is told from a different character’s POV. That was lovely, except I kept forgetting who was who and all their voices started to blend together. Plus there is zero personality with most of the characters, but especially with Naja. She’s simply there for her eggs. I wished she had somehow found her latent powers (turned into a leopard or whatever she was) and kicked some bad guys butt. I wanted so much more for her!

I couldn’t tell you much about the two Alphas either. Finlo and Gatlin, they are both huge, one has grey eyes? The only males that had any kind of personality are the two Betas, Seven and Ellar. Raiden, the trunk swinging Omega is sweet, but again, not much of a personality.

There really isn’t much that happens in this story. There is a little drama at the end that is dealt with rather quickly. Also it was embarrassing that the males spent the whole book bragging about how highly trained they were and then It really lags in the middle where everyone is dropping their childhood drama on each other. I was bored.

Omegaverse stories can be fun, and they push the boundaries a bit. This had some kink, a silly plot, forgettable characters and a quickly wrapped up ending. Meh.

I think Lyric & the Heartbeats was a much better written omegaverse reverse harem.

Someone come bring me a new fan, this book was so hot it burnt up my last one 🤣😂 seriously though this book was amazing!! My first omegaverse mpreg and I don’t know why I held out so long!! Time to start rethinking this trope.

Meet the RH: GATLIN (pack Alpha); FINLO (Alpha); SEVEN (beta); ELLAR (beta); RAIDEN (male Omega); NAJA (last female Manix Omega on the planet) And yes as you may have guessed this is a MMMMMF story, the two Alpha’s are bi but do not sleep with each other.

I love that we’re inside Grace McGinty’s book universe for this story. This is a world where supernaturals and preternaturals coexist with humans. The Manix are a new class of shifters we haven’t witnessed before because they are a secretive, older, near extinct race. They’ve survived by forming packs of males waiting for their female, seeing as female omegas are extremely rare. So imagine spending 200+ years with 5 men and no woman? You’re bound to evolve to fulfill carnal needs. And in true Grace fashion were treated to MM+ romances that remind you there’s no such things as wrong when you love someone.

If you’ve read the Eden Academy stories you’ll remember from Sweethearts and Savages that Kell picked up two shifters in Mexico and helped them make their way to Montana, those two were Naja and little Luisa. And while they’re half-siblings, Luisa is more of a daughter than a sister. She’s also a full blood tiger shifter, making Naja half-tiger, half-Manix.

We open with a comical meeting of humans and shifter. I can’t even imagine what five god like men close to seven feet tall walking into a club dressed as warriors would do to the female population, I mean I know I’d stop and stare. So when this exact thing happens to Naja she takes notice. But when she senses they’re like her, not human, she runs. And the chase ensues. Now I’d be more than a little scared and more than a little cautious too, especially when these same men decide to drive her home and keep her company. Then they explain why she’s so special, and if that isn’t mind blowing enough she find out how she’s to help them.

Here the hilariously eloquently way Seven laid it out:
“𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵. 𝘏𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘨𝘨𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘬. 𝘞𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘨𝘨𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘺. 𝘏𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘣𝘴. 𝘐𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘧 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴, 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯, 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺.”

So I gotta know, would you find this hot or not? Cause I’m on board for the sex without the pregnancy and birth and the voyeuristic take on impregnation. Not so sure I like the idea of having 4-6 babies each go, seeing as multiples are brutal!! Anyway I digress.

There’s much more than sexy times in this story. There’s a crazy step-daddy stalker, a ruling faction that finds half-breeds as lessers, family turmoil, and reunions with long lost relatives. I don’t want to say too much and give away the story. Just know that this is one unforgettable tale that you’ll want to reread!!

🥵 MMMMMF
🥵 five bi-sexual warrior class shifters
🖤 omegaverse mpreg
🖤 cute little sister that steals everyone’s hearts
🖤 babies!!

This is an omegaverse of Manix shifters with mpreg and lots of mmmmfm smut. This book was fine. There wasn’t anything bad about it but even though this omegaverse had a little twist that was new for me, everything else has been done before and was kind of boring.

I didn’t hate any of the character but I also didn’t love any of them. All the men blended together and didn’t have enough individually from each other. They all had sweet moments but it never went deeper than that. My favourite scene was when Seven and Naja had a heart to heart and I wished we got more of that from all of them! Because of this, it felt like Naja was more just an egg donor than a part of the family. I also wished they talked more on Naja’s insecurities rather than basically brushing past it and never talking about it again.

I’m also getting tired of stories using a kidnapping as the third act conflict. It’s not often done well and feels rushed. Then everything gets tied up in a pretty bow that feels forced. Usually I silently roll my eyes and let it pass if I really enjoyed the rest of the book but in this case, I was already pretty bored so I had enough when it came.

I really wanted to like this book -and maybe that’s why it was such a let down as I had my hopes too high up for it- but I just didn’t find anything I loved about it. Again nothing bad, just nothing I loved either so I think I’ll stop with this book for now.

I had to take a break while reading this as I got bored. Past chapter 25, I was just skimming.

The book was too long/unnecessarily stretched.

I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was broken up into two books/compressed into one concise book.

Most of the stretching was in the feelings department. Oh, can I stay with the guys? Oh, I think I am falling for them. Oh, let us all share our childhood drama. Oh, I think I love them. Oh, (them collectively but each guy had to get a chapter) I think I love Naja. It was tiresome.

I love all the side characters that have been introduced towards the end. However, I don't think I have the patience to go through a book 2 to find out more about them.

It was an okay but over stretched read.

As far as I know this is the first omegaverse RH with mpreg. And even though this was my first omegaverse RH, I’ve read plenty of A/B/O fanfic to say with absolute certainty that Manix is one of the best omegaverse stories I’ve ever read.

All characters were interesting, sweet, vulnerable yet strong and sexy af. The Pack dynamic was amazing and the found family element made my heart melt. The Mpreg was done surprisingly well. And I loved how each character defied their role of Alpha, Beta and Omega in their own way.

I wish this was a series because I was left wanting to learn more about the world, about the other packs, shifters, and that whole plot twist with the secret badass group.

Scratch that, I just found out there’s a second book coming out in October about Naja’s brother and his pack and I’m squealing!!!!!!!! So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

My biggest problem with this book, and it's something I personally can't get over, is that I never felt like any of the characters really cared for Naja. It's obvious they love and adore Raiden but with Naja it's as if they're in love with the idea of her being a female omega and what that entails; the chance of getting Raiden pregnant. Raiden is like their soulmate and Naja is like the partner you settle with not because you love her but because she's convenient and there's no one else like that around. And it hurts to read how much overshadowed she gets, especially when all she wants is to be loved and cherished. This should've just been a MM++ romance, not RH.

Wow. Just, wow. When I say I loved this book, I mean I really loved it. It was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy! I absolutely adored all the characters and the fact that the guys already loved each other? So freaking adorable! They were so respectful (yes, even though they initially kidnapped her) and just wanted to... take care of her. In both senses of the word.
The smut was good. So hot! There was knotting, orgies, and all the good stuff.
Unlike most people I know, I don't mind books with mpreg. However, I still don't know what to make of it in this book. It was very... uniquely done (if you know, you know)? I didn't hate it, and the author made it work.
I especially enjoyed the beginning and the first half of the book. Don't get me wrong, the second half was by no means bad, I just didn't enjoy the second one as much.
I liked all the backstories of the characters, it made them so much more real. It was so sweet to read about how the guys acted around Luisa. My heart literally melted every time.
The plot was a bit basic, but it was still fun, and I loved it. It was done really well. The author made me genuinely hate some of the characters.
All in all, a great book. Loved it and can't wait to read the next one!

Rating ~3.5

I downloaded this book on a whim. Because it was recommended after I finished Lola and the Billionaires, plus it was available on Kindle Unlimited. So I figured, why not?

And honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised. This was an entertaining read. But be forewarned it’s definitely fast/medium-burn. The characters all wanted to jump in bed together from the get-go. They didn’t, but the urge was there for sure and they really didn’t end up waiting that long.

That being said. I liked all the males. So I wasn’t mad at the sexy developments. I do wish the characters were a bit more fleshed out, but fortunately, there was enough heart so I could at least believe the characters had genuine feelings for each other. They just fit. Though I’ll admit found myself leaning more favorably toward the Beta males Seven and Ellar than the Alphas. It just felt like we were given more about them to care about. Or maybe I just have a thing for Betas now? 😆

Our female lead was strong and overall level-headed, given the situation she found herself in. I found her response to most of the situations decidedly reasonable, and she was definitely kick-ass when she needed to be. All-in-all an addicting read.

DNF @ Ch 17.

2 star rating to reflect that this is just okay .

Writing style seems a bit simple. I'd like more flow or eloquence. The pacing is a bit fast, too. I mean, I stopped after I found out that the cunnilingus scene is all of like 15 lines.

The guys are all the same. They have no descriptions other than Alpha or Beta or Omega. Personalities seem too similar.

h is just boring. Some kinda damaged but also a special snowflake that they all insta-love.

Also toddlers aren't sexy?! And she's mentioned like all the time.

So, this isn't bad, but it's also not great. Given it's length, I'm calling it quits here.

Awful

Guys all have sex with each other and only need the MC to have sex with their mail Omega. And impregnate him. They don't need her for anything. This should have just been a mmmm romance not mmmmf

Very smart way to introduce mpreg to an audience that might not be familiar with it. Don't be afraid to try it!!!!

McGinty did a very nice job blending together omegaverse, a trend/trope that's gaining a lot of traction in RH right now, with MM, and mpreg (something that I've never seen outside of m/m novels). We get those intrinsic alpha traits- protectiveness, the urge to provide, the need to know that everyone is safe and whole, the beta hallmarks- nurturing, more emotional softness, and some strength to help keep the family safe from emotionally and physically, and the general omega qualities- the heart of the pack, the creator of the family, and being the axis that the home rotates around.

But McGinty also creates something new.

She doesn't stick her her characters into boxes and trap them there. Instead, we get a beta who's a fighter, an omega who can defend himself and his lovers, and some of the traditional roles as well, so we get some of those roles that we love and want to depend on in our omegaverse, but we also get some twists that give this story a unique mark and Pack dynamic.

Naja is a protective, sensible, and guarded woman, working two jobs and trying her best to give her baby sister a chance at the good life she never had. From the start, we have a clear sense of what/who is important to her, and she's a strong character. She does come around to trust the Pack, but I feel like McGinty transforms her in little moments, a step at a time, so the change feels natural. Her snuggling into life with the Pack feels real to me, and there's a lot of that cozy, comfy chemistry that showcases the best and sweetest side of omegaverse that's all about someone finding their family and healing from whatever's weighed down their lives.

Gatlin, Finlo, Seven, Ellar, and Raiden are all just lovely characters. Each of them is a bit of a misfit, so even though they're strong, they're going to appeal to the underdog lover in you. They value who someone truly is even though they grew up in a world that denied, judged, and despised them just because of that. Not to mention, if you love to see men completely falling over themselves for the sake of keeping a toddler safe and happy, there's so many moments that'll just squish your heart and make you fall in love with them. They're a bit bossy and protective but super respectful, and at no time did I ever see the a$$h0le aside of alphas that sets off my d1ck radar. They're really just genuine sweethearts.

With this currently being marked as a standalone, I was actually surprised at what I got. I'm a serial series reader, who usually avoids standalones because I worry that I'll just be dissatisfied, but Manix gave me what I needed. I got an interesting central conflict that was resolved in a smooth way that made sense, characters who each had something to distinguish them from one another, and enough steamy s*x to give you just enough *fan yourself* moments. I'd totally dig into another if McGinty decided to give it to us, and that's not something I say lightly! Though she rounds Manix out nicely where that pack doesn't seem to need a follow up, I'd love to see another pack find their bliss too.

“I was a stripper with a toddler and a room full of hot paranormal guys who wanted to breed with me.”

Naja can’t understand how the Manix’ think she’s an omega of their species … the last female omega. Secretly on the run with her baby sister, she’s unsure what’s more dangerous. The man she’s running from, or these Manix creatures telling her she’s gotta be part Manix and definitely Manix who’s about to go in heat. 😳

This book is juicy as fuck. I’ve never read an MPreg book before and this was a perfect introduction. These men are fluid in their sexuality. If someone needs to get off, male or female, alpha, beta, or omega.. the pack is more than willing to help. Theirs MFM, MM, MF, and whatever is in between. Orgies for all.
And Naja is the one they’ve desperately been craving. Not only to continue the Manix species, but her scent, her being… they love her.
It’s an incredible bond everyone has with eachother. Everything is consensual as Naja is overwhelmed with this new life she chose.

“You’re the queen we’ve been searching for. The missing piece in our Pack. That’s why we want you to stay.”

Of course, there’s drama with the man Naja is running from. You’ll get action and blood.

This author has an incredible imagination with that Manix and how a male pregnancy works. It was really neat.

3.5 stars. Another omegaverse recommendation by the RHR group. I'm not sure why I struggled to get into this one. I think it was a case of too many in one go or that this one started out as another kidnap for their own good. After seeing it was a series of standalones and not dragged out, it was easier to get through. I liked how sweet and protective the guys are and the switch up with the mpreg. Dark themes and a lot of cutesy moments with the cub. Didn't like the legion or the alpha father. Strong on the MM. I am curious about Courtland so itching to jump onto the next one but will take a break for now.

I had pretty high hopes for this one. I was sure it would be four stars. And the spice was okay. Could have been better but was pretty good. This book probably deserves a better rating , but I just lost interest and was ready to move on. Almost DNF at 50%. This took me way too long to finish.

The Mpreg was interesting to see. I love the omegaverse and this was the first book where I was able to see the male become pregnant. I honestly feel like the book could have been a lot better. Maybe it was the Mexican cartel thing that threw me off.

Spice: maybe 3/5. Maybe.

I'm struggling with what to give this book, because I loved it, and it was going to be about a 3.5-4 star read... up until the ending.

The entire book there is this tension, the main character is running from something in her past and shes scared shitless. and (Spoilers) when she does get taken its SO lack luster and horribly written. Theres a fight (That we don't get to see because they lock themselves away) and she just ends up offering herself up "to save her mate". but its not like a "We will trade you for him" its a "Oh you are taking one of them? I will now go with you so you have more leverage. two for one deal!" She just fucking jumps off a building onto the ground in front of them and passes out... because she JUMPED OFF A BUILDING.

Then I'm thinking okay, this will be interesting to see what they want with her, some more tension, some tense bad guy scenes and maybe she'll get sold and some dark shit with be thrown in.... nope. She is put in a warehouse and talks to her captor like once, and its only for him to say "Muhahaha, I've been chasing you for years, now I shall sell you!" and while hes on the phone talking to a buyer who is going to arrive in like half an hour, she is instantly given a gun by a spy in the gang. Also, it just so happens there's been special forces trying to catch this bad guy for years and SUPRISE, they happen to not only be connected to the fake buyer for her, but ready with a full scale raid on the "big bad" in a matter of hours, so hes going to be taken down for good!

So the entire book leads up to this moment... that gets resolved in about 5% of the book, with no prior work/help from the main characters. As soon as she is taken they just get introduced to these bad ass mega powerful characters that come out of nowhere, snap their fingers, and have the answers to all their problems. It was SUCH a let down. Like damn. What was the use of that? How is that a satisfying conclusion at all?

Pretty good

I wasn’t sure I would like the MPreg, and I’m still not sure really, but it wasn’t terrible - just biologically illogical?

On the whole it was a good story that fits well into the author’s preexisting world from some of her other books. I did think that the characterization was lacking, especially in The FMC. Other than her being an omega, there’s really nothing there to develop her personality. She’s a “survivor” type who will sacrifice anything to protect the people she loves. But that’s basically the sum-total of her personality. There’s a lot of MM (and MMM, etc), as well as all the other permutations of M’s and F’s but it was hard to get into because Naja was such a black hole. We know they think of her as more than just an egg donor, but it’s really their first imperative, whether she stays or not, so that does leave a little bit of a bad taste in the mouth.

The guys are partially distinguishable, but not the two alphas. Really they all needed more characterization, but it would have been hard to do that with the extensive plot that grounds the reasons for Naja’s existence/resistance/fear.

All in all, a good read. Also of note: I think there are maybe some tie-ins to other books of hers but since I haven’t read them, I missed the significance of some of them. Or maybe they’re there for future books?

Steam level is high. Lots of MM etc. Babies of course due to the MPreg, so if you’re into that, this would be the book for you.

Manix is a STEAMY AF, reverse harem, MM, omegaverse, with MPREG. Unwrap that one why don’t you! There is a lot of lovin’ going on in this book! BUT, it isn’t just steam…

Naja has been living in fear with little Luisa for a couple of years. Constantly looking over her shoulder, hoping to keep them both safe, doing what she needs to do to keep them alive. Naja takes care of little Luisa during the day, and strips at night to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Imagine her surprise when one night, while dancing, she senses something different in the large men looking at her….Gaitlin, Finlo, Seven, Ellar, and Raiden…

Gaitlin and Finlo, both alphas both with their own baggage. Seven and Ellar, both betas with even more baggage and the wonderfully strong and caring omega male Raiden.

Naja’s world is about to change as these 5 possessive and protective Manix just scented her, and it looks like she is the last remaining female omega in existence and these five big guys are coming for her…

Manix is an intriguing tale of a pack of misfits that found their place together, a haunted female with secrets, and a bunch of jerks trying to harm them all. This was a fascinating journey into this world of Manix.

This was an enjoyable read and I am interested in more stories in this series.

4.4 stars.
So, this was really different from what I expected based off of the little teasers and hints here and there that I’d gotten off of TikTok.
Not in a bad way.
I actually really liked it, and honestly from the teasers and everything I wasn’t sure if I would.

But.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the FMC.
Naja was just so hesitant throughout the Entire book. And after a while it just got annoying how many times she’d cave just a tiny bit to then immediately qualify it and back off. I just felt like it wasn’t really fair and it made it hard to actually get to see them all together.

Also. The sex.
Don’t get me wrong, I thought there were some pretty hot moments, but I was just expecting a bit more from it and it seemed to be missing something.

I don’t know.
I liked it.
I thought it was hot and the plot was pretty okay.
It just didn’t wow me like all the rave reviews seemed to promise that it would.

This book was a fun silly little time. It’s refreshing to find an omegaverse story that isn’t just endless smut (not that there’s anything wrong with that, but variety is nice). While the world-building and plot weren’t groundbreaking, they were definitely entertaining and unique enough to keep me turning the pages.

The mmcs really brought the story to life for me: Ellar’s sweetness melted my heart; Seven had me laughing with his complete lack of a filter, and his gruff-but-mushy personality was adorable; Finlo’s sense of family was so wholesome; Gaitlin’s protective streak made me feel all warm and fuzzy; and Raiden? A pregnant 6ft something omega soldier? My brain short-circuited every time it came up, but by the end, I was like meh why not 🤷🏻‍♀️.

The relationship dynamics were my favorite part. It started in a... let’s say unconventional way, with the guys basically saying, “Hey, you’re the last female omega, so can you give us babies so we don't go extinct?” (😬). Of course, Naja said no at first—because duh— but over time, it became clear the guys cared for her as a person, not just as some means to an end. They empowered her at every turn, which made the romance feel heartfelt and organic.

A couple of things threw me off, like them calling each other by their designations instead of their names (I guess it’s a cultural thing?), and I struggled to picture them with their mouse ears when shifted, I snorted every time it came up. But honestly, these quirks just added to the charm.

Special shoutout to Luisa! I’m usually not a fan of babies in books because they’re often just there, but Luisa’s character was beautifully included in the story. Watching her develop relationships with each pack member was such a heartwarming touch.

Overall, this was a wild and fun read. If you’re into omegaverse or just curious about it, give this one a try. I’ll definitely be picking up the next book—I need to learn more about the other packs and the fascinating (and slightly ridiculous) Manix culture.

Positive Words to Increase Customer Satisfaction

👍 The 'Found Family' Trope.
Except for Finlo, everyone in the pack has a sad backstory—being unwanted, mistreated, misunderstood, or unloved. Together, they form a close-knit family and lovers. The only ones who aren't involved romantically are Gaitlin and Finlo, who grew up as friends and share a brotherly bond.

👍 Luisa and later, the babies.

👍 Mpreg. I'm a big fan of this trope, but sadly, most books with it are poorly written.

👍 The Epilogue. It was sweet & satisfying.

Negative words that start with letter A - Word list Research

👎 The Length. It started out interesting, but the second half was repetitive and unnecessarily stretched out. It was often boring b/c not much happened.

🔹 Naja trying to decide if she should stay or go.

🔹 The guys repeatedly telling or showing Naja how much they love and need her.
She's super ❄️𝗌ρ𝖾𝖼𝗂αᥣ.❄️
❄️ ...this girl we'd just pulled off the stage was such a miracle, a true gift from the Goddess.
❄️ ...this pretty Omega female, this unicorn of the supernatural world,...
❄️ You're the queen we've been searching for.

👍 and 👎 The perfect pack and their perfect love.
They showed their love or shared their feelings often. The pack members were: selfless, loving, protective, and super supportive. While this sounds great, it felt unrealistic, as even the closest families can have their difficulties and disagreements.

👎 The Manix were easily defeated.
We're told: "We are a weapon, Naja. We've been trained like warriors since the time we could walk."
They're trained better than humans in Special Forces.
Yet, when they face the evil uncle at the end, they're overcome quickly and two of them are kidnapped. So this ends up being all tell and no show.

It's stressed how Naja is needed to save the Manix from extinction.
👎 But a few things don't make sense:

The Legion (group of Alphas) run the Manix society. They want to keep the Manix blood pure, and not allow mating with humans or other species. Yet, no one notices the white elephant in the room -
🐯 𝗡𝗮𝗷𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳-𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿
The last female Manix Omega is not pure! Umm, you may want to rethink that "keeping the Manix pure" plan. Maybe the solution IS to mate with other species?? 🤔

Or how they put all their hopes and dreams on Naja, like she's the ONLY one who can save them. There are other female Manix. (Less than a hundred.)

Here's the difference:
Manix females can only have one baby at a time.
Naja as a female Omega can either have one baby at a time, OR she can mate with a male Omega and HE can have multiple cubs.

You May Never Figure That Out GIF - Landline Landline Amazon Landline Movie GIFs

Rather than try and learn why there is only one female Omega, why not use those doctors to discover why there are so few females?? Duh. 🙄

- Wilkie didn't need Naja. He had a beta female capable of giving him cubs. One at a time.
Wilkie gave Naja a hard-eyed glare. “With her, we could attract another Omega male. I could have a litter of cubs. Pass on my genetics to the next generation.”

- Which of these is true about Raiden? 🤔
The fact that Raiden had been born an Omega had shocked his father halfway into the grave. So he’d just treated him like the rest of his sons, training him in hand-to-hand combat, as well as close-range weapons. I knew for a fact that Raiden was an expert with a sniper rifle.
🇴‌🇷‌
Where they’d taught us how to fight as Alphas, they’d taught Raiden how to cook, like he was just some wishy-washy Omega with nothing else better to do than to cook food and lay on his back.

👎 Indistinct Characters. The problem with most (if not all) RH books, is that with so many MCs, it's very hard to have depth and distinction. This is true here as well. There are multiple POVs, with each chapter switching to a different MC. The problem was, they sounded the same. I often got confused as to who was talking. Eventually, I just gave up and waited for some clues to help me figure it out.

👎 Excessive language. 317 F's.
👎 Not enough details.
👎 Lots of low to mid-steam, short sex scenes.
(I skimmed the last one.)

First half = 4-stars.
Second half = 2-stars.
The very end = 3-stars.

A pack with 2 betas 2 Alphas and a male Omega who've been together for years and love each other
Female omega manix are thought to be extinct but they scent the h

h is a half tiger shifter who can't shift, she's on the run from her uncle who wants to sell her
She's the first female omega found in years

This was an interesting and unique read to be, I've never read a mpreg book before so this was a whole new world
Unfortunately this just wasn't for me, a female omega coming into an already established pack that love each other was already difficult for me.....to have the male be the one carrying the children just wasn't for ME

Holy....WOW! Grace McGinty does it again! I am floored! Manix is her first Omegaverse book, but you would never realize it without knowing. It was amazing.

Manix is a type of shifter that are quickly dying out as many of the elders believe if you are not 100% Manix, you are not worth much if much at all.

The Huxley-Grey Pack (which consist of Alphas Gatlin and Finlo, Beta's Eller and Seven and Male Omega Raiden) are able to smell a female Omega at the beginning of her heat.

Female Omegas are believed to be extinct so when they find Naja - the girl in a thong currently working the pole, they pull the fire alarm as a distraction and attempt to take her, only all hell breaks loose.

Naja is unaware of Manix all together and believes she is a 100% Tigress. The Manix pack ultimately wants babies, but as an all male pack, you can see where their troubles lie; they need a female omega to be their savior. When they all get back to her house, they realize she already has a child and a story behind her.

While Naja is on the run from her past, the guys eventually convince her to come back to their mountain with the promise of safety and security.

Truths are discovered. Feelings are felt and bonds are made. Can Naja ultimately give the guys what they want? Can she escape her past and finally be happy?
___________

This book is great! The author clearly went into deep thought with this one. So much detail yet not overly so. It was funny. It was hottt. It was heartwarming. It was EVERYTHING. The real kicker for me was the male pregnancy. I thought that was so weird, but the author really makes it feel so normal like why would we even question that to begin with. She even had characters from her other novels intertwine with this one. I am hoping to see more Manix throughout more of her books like we see with her other characters. I really enjoyed this book and cant wait for more.

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 4/5
*First person POV - all 6 main characters
*MMMMMF
*HEA? Yes!
