I thought this novel followed the first quite well. You can see the author has evolved and developed his writing style. Loved the inclusion of the new POV from El and Ben. Was great to see Ben's internal struggle with his father, and the run to the end was action packed and filled with so much emotion. Can't wait for book 3!
I thought this was a fantastic follow up to the first book. Again another cliff hanger which I hated (that's a good thing btw). Can't wait to see where we go for book three!
A fantastic sequel. More POVs can be difficult to juggle, but i think it has been done really well here. Some great new characters, and sadly a few deaths, which was uncalled for, but great reading... so I'm torn!
I really liked the split POVs for this book. Was really cool to see the story unfold from Lincoln, El, and Ben, right up until all their plot lines link. I also loved the introduction of the new characters, especially Hyde, and I really liked how we got to see moree Phoenine actions.
Just as good as the first! If you let it, this book will keep you up at night. Amazing sequel to The Chain Between Worlds with an ending that will have you asking for more.
1. Huge improvement in the writing from the author
2. I felt like book 1 was lacking world building but with Link/Liv travelling through Nowhere, the introduction of the cloud kingdom, more time in Eden, and Harksmear's lair I really fely like I got more of a visual of the world this series is set in
3. Multi-POV really helped bring more to the story, particularly with Ben, who I really disliked in book 1. it also gave a better view on the different character dynamics.
4. Intro of the Aldefos bros and the wolf - absolutley loved all of them
Well written sequel. I think with the new POVs there is a lot more potential for this story to unfold. I am glad Revon Nox was killed, it seemed like a fitting close to that section of El's past, though coupled with AJ's death it does leave her with more to deal with, which will propel book three forward

Love to see these characters become more unique. Book 1 gave me TMI vibes, was cool to see it evolve into something more unique. Loved that we got to see more of Lincoln's dad and more of Eden. Glad they split the POVs too
Fantastic sequel. Big improvement in the Author's writing ability. Morbidly I am glad that he introduced death as a key theme throughout this read. Great instalment into what is shaping up to be a great series.
Great nitroduction of the new POVs and the seperate story lines dovetailing. Ben's character I think is the best given the complex nature of his relationship with his father. It does sometimes feel childish in some scenes with this book, but a very minor note
Would have liked a bit more from this book. Gzreat ending, the book was needing to see a key character die. THought they handled the theme of death very well
