This was a fab story with a dark undertone in the form of a curse for him and a 'mommy dearest' for her. Despite these difficulties, these two are wonderful peeps that deserved the love they found together. Will it be enough, though, to overcome their adversaries? Read and find out for yourself - you won't be disappointed :D

Venus Jacobson is a super model, tired of the life, but more importantly she’s tired of living under her controlling mother's thumb. Damian Winter feels that despite the potion that allows he and his brothers to live a somewhat more normal life, the curse has destroyed any chance for him to find happiness. Then he and Venus are matched trough mate.com, the app that brings fated mates together. Venus and Damian learn that they can be each other's strength, and find the happiness they want.
I adore this author’s characters. They are always well written, compelling, and they make me smile. A wonderful happily ever after shifter romance with some steam, and an interesting twist in the plot that keeps a reader absorbed from the first page. I recommend this book to other readers of the genre, and think this is a wonderful addition to a fantastic series.

Tired of the curse and the life he had been leading, finding his fated mate seemed only to have brought more concerns to Damian. Having led a life of glamour Venus, his fated mate, was feeling unsatisfied and that she couldn't bear the domination that her mother exercised over her anymore. Heartless mother! But seemed the shifter was her future and Venus was willing to go after what could be her happiness and albeit with a little fear, she was ready to fight for what she really wanted. Fears, doubts, and the need to take control over their lives make Damian and Venus grow stronger, come together, and face their fears. Interesting their inner struggles and how the others helped them. I liked Luna and Rex´s wisdom, booed the stage mother and cheered the clan's support. Lots of feeling wrapped up in the plot, romance, passion, and lot of thinking. An interesting and entertaining story with a good message.

Until then, their oldest brother and alpha's mate (that he found when they moved) was helping them with a temporary fix.
Venus was a high-fashion model. Her mother was her manager and kept Venus under her thumb. When Damian learned what she was to him... well you'll need to read the find out. Just know standing up for herself wasn't that easy. Could Damian help her make the break? If so, what would it mean for them?

The story reflected the title, dark as in the situation of our MCs are grim. He was cursed by the Snow Queen, she was cursed with a stage mother. They both have to overcome the darkness inside before they can face their future together.
Despite the darkness inside our dark wolf, the goodness still radiates inside him. He can end the curse immediately if he wanted to but he also wanted the love of his mate. Our dark wolf really is a good man.
Even though the story is grim, there is that light, that little hope, a beacon shining through, you just have to see it to th end.

Second book of the series. This one shows that you can have money and fame but still not have love and happiness. For Venus she has lived under the thumb of her mother. The island of Selkie will be a breath of fresh air as fate has brought her where she needs to be. Damian sees himself as the dark wolf. His thoughts are full of pain as he can not let go of his past. But will finding his mate help or push him further into the darkness.

Very enjoyable and interesting read. There wasn't much in the drama department besides the inner turmoil from both of our MC. Still that didn't take a way from the story. Overall a entertaining read. As always my reviews are completely voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are completely my own.

Stage mom
He felted like he lived death for the last 75 years and doesn't believe he should have a mate. She has grown up up a stage mom that would be a curse not letting her do anything except work. The characters will take you through twists and turns on their journey to find their true mate.

Raw and amazing. The years of verbal and emotional abuse for Venus had her programmed into a living robot. Having a match with Dark Wolf made both of them alive and happy.

This story about a cursed brothers of wolfs was great. The brothers have been cursed for 75 years and only been in human form for one day a month. Great story.

At just over 100 pages this is a quick novella. The story was fine, but the big conflict is over in one page and the sex had me laughing
