After his K9, Balas, took down an intruder on the White House lawn, former Secret Service agent, Rafe Anderson, didn’t count on his life changing quite so much. With Balas now the face of MWDs across the globe, Rafe lost his faith in the people he worked with when they decided Balas would be better off with a handler who wanted to be in the public eye and not one who shunned notoriety at every opportunity. He swore he’d never serve his country again, and he kept that promise for nine long lonely months until Delta Force Team Lynx offered him a job, using the one thing Rafe could never refuse to sweeten the deal. A chance to have Balas back in his life. Rafe agreed—Lynx delivered—he and Balas are once more a family, a team, and nobody is going to separate them again. With a month of leave in his back pocket, Rafe and Balas are going home to finally buy the house his mother sold before he could afford to buy it. His grandparents’ home in sleepy Pine Bush will make the perfect retreat from the ravages of working in war zones and the horrors of the dirty side of chasing former military members gone rouge…right?
Parker Frost loves his hometown, and unlike his brother, he doesn’t want to shake the dust of Pine Bush off his shoes. He’s happy living over his mom’s garage and working at The Hoot Owl. Slinging beer, running karaoke night, and making people laugh is his jam. If only he could avoid the unwanted advances from the man who keeps asking him out. Seriously, who offers you a thousand bucks a week just to date you? With that insult ringing in his ears, he takes matters into his own hands and begs the hottest man he’s ever seen to pretend they are a couple. Kissing Mr. Sexy Stranger will prove he’s not available, even for that much money…right?
It was only supposed to be one kiss—then one sleepover—now Rafe and Parker must figure out why their hometown is in the crosshairs of a drug lord. But before either can act on the desire pulling them together, Rafe really needs to figure out if his Temptation can really be a Tango.
Annabella Stone and Bella Stone are the alter egos of a wife and mom, who was lucky enough to find happy ever after with her own personal hero.
Annabella loves to write Military Romance and Romantic Suspense where warriors love harder when bullets fly. She believes in love at first sight and wants everyone to have the happy ever they deserve. Even if they have to dodge bullets and fight with everything that they are to get it.
Born and raised in Ireland, Annabella has a Grá for a good story and the breakfast blaa, but funnily enough, prefers Jack Daniels to Irish whiskey. Having lived across 7 countries and 3 continents over the last thirty years, she loves to explore new places and cultures. In her world, coffee is king, and she is 100% sure it deserves it's own food group.
Annabella is owned by a pack of malamutes, whom she loves to both work and show. If you can't find her at the computer writing, chances are she and her woofers have escaped to enjoy at day at a dog show, or they are on a mountain trail with the dryland rig or the sled, depending on the time of year.
Annabella's motto is "Live life like a malamute who found the gate open, but take the time to enjoy the sights while you're running."
As always Annabella Stone blew me away with this book. I have read all the books in this series and the other series that are closely related and as always, I cannot wait for the next book to come out.
Rafe and Balas are an amazing pair! I cannot picture one without the other. Their connection as handler and woofer is like none other. They trust in each other and the other’s instincts. Because of this, they are able to protect one another and others they love.
When Rafe and Balas return to Rafe’s hometown to purchase his grandparents home, he never expected to run into his future as well!
When Parker walks up to a mystery man to ask for his help in getting rid of unwanted attention, he never thought it would turn out to be the one person he had a crush on growing up. When he realizes his mystery man is none other then Rafe, he is excited and nervous at the same time.
As Parker and Rafe reconnect and get to know one another, trouble is brewing. Someone is out to not only get rid of Rafe but also to inlist Parker’s help in some illegal activities.
Rafe realizes pretty quickly that something is not right in his hometown and calls his team in for back up. The question is, is Parker the man he thinks he is or does he know more about what is going on then he is letting on?
This is another exciting read! You will be on the edge of your seats at different points and times. This is a book you will want to finish in one sitting. Another great read and as always I cannot wait till the next!
What a sweet story this was - different, since Rafe wasn't former military.
Seemed like Balas, the K-9 belonging to Rafe, was the more lethal partner than Rafe, who, despite his weapons and special training (from his Secret Service days and being part of Lynx) wasn't as scary as Zack, Castello, and the others who had military special ops experience. Rafe didn't have all the PTSD and deadly instincts that Zack, Marc and Costello illustrate in their books, giving the three scary reflexes, skills and lethal talent that Rare just didn't project as terrifyingly as they could. Not that he wasn't dangerous, but because Balas was always with him, Rafe's skills were more his observance, and social cues, since he always was warned by his K-9 of all surrounding danger. That dog was some bad-a**! Anyway - great storyline, though I wish we had closure for Parker and Rafe where Dylan, Parker's brother was concerned. It would have been awesome for both of them to sneer in Dylan's face as they confronted him in prison or somewhere just as demeaning. Four solid stars.
Gosh, I'm sure my stopped at one point during this in fact I still have wet eyes as well. Gripping and lots of suspense and action. Parker is targeted but doesn't know why until Rafe arrives and starts to help, but a sizzling hot kiss sparks more than friendship. As the threat picks up the team arrive to help figure out what's going on. Results mean a change of life for all. Ballas is the star of the show, a true Hero, he won my heart from the first nudge, growl and lick, Rafe and Parker weren't far behind. I loved that these guys aren't scared to show they are vulnerable, that they can be hurt and that they cry. Even a normal everyday furbaby is everything to their human parent but an animal who risks it's life to protect and fight for country and their partner deserves every single bit of love and honour possible. This story is special because of the characters who star in it and Ballas is top of that list.
Rafe Anderson is a happy man. He has a great job. His best friend Balas, a Belgian shepherd, is back by his side. He's just bought his grandparent's house. Life's good! Never did he imagine that returning to his hometown of Pine Bush would have him falling in love, battling drug traffickers and finally being able to turn his back on two people who only care about themselves, their image and reputations. Parker Frost had a crush on his older brother's best friend, Rafe forever and that he's back in Pine Bush maybe Parker can act on that crush especially after the sizzling kiss Rafe gave him. Phew! Things get dicey when Rafe has his spidey senses go on high alert. Calling for his team to back him up, Castello and company arrive en masse to take care of business.
These task force boys always seem to get their guy. Whether its the bad guy or their guy they never dissappoint. Rafe thought that buying his grandparents house was only going to mean him cleaning up the place. Little did he know that it would bring both danger and the love of his life. Parker only wanted the guy at the bar to stop harrassing him and the guy that walked in looked as if he could help. Asking Rafe to pretend to be his boyfriend brought with it a whole lot of drama but it also brought him Rafe. Balas Rafe's operative K9 soon became more than his mans best friend to Parker. As always Ms Stone gives us task force action and a HEA. Can't wait to see who Conn ends up with.
I love reading more about Rafe and Balas. The Handler and K9s are some of my favorite characters in these series. While I liked this story, I wasn't completely sold on Parker as the love interest. I really didn't feel a connection or chemistry between these two men. I felt their love story was a bit lackluster. I enjoyed the story overall, but more for the team interaction and the storyline moving forward than the romance in this one.
I will say I'm intrigued by the last few sentences between Sage and Connor and will be looking forward to their story.
Still giving the complete series 5+/5 stars but for me this particular installment gets
I always eagerly await a new Annabella Stone story and I loved it. Rafe and Parker together were so wonderful and Parker became part of the family. I was glad Rafe's parents were cut out of his life for good(his mother was especially ghastly)and sorry that Dylan turned out to such a jerk but thrilled that Parker and his mom could be with Rafe and the guys in Florida. The best part is of course Balas. I love that dog so much and when he was shot I was teary-eyed and anxious until he recovered. Now I want Conner's story.
The 3rd book in the Delta Force: Team Lynx, and I didn’t think I could like Rafe & Balas anymore than I already did from their appearances in other stories until they got their very own!
There were some fantastic lines and moments that had me laughing out loud, and considering it is 4 am, I am glad I didn’t wake the kids!
Annabella, congratulations on another great story. I cannot wait for the next one and the next puppy pile!
Need adrenaline and mystery? How about "the kiss" and forever after romance?
Parker enjoying his friends and small hometown life. He has one man harassing him and decides the next person walks in will be his cover. Rafe returning home to restore his grandparents home is liking his greet a kiss the handsome man to help him out is a surprise indeed. The suspense, mystery and worry wrapped the story through some twist and turns but the end is a great new start! MM romance
Oh my goodness the second that Parker walked up to Rafe and told him to kiss him I just knew this was going to be a great story and I sure the heck wasn't wrong!!! You will not want to miss a single second because in my estimation the book is too damn short!!!!!
Rafe, Parker, and Balas are the cutest Romantic trio.... I want to say so many things but I will let you read it to make your own decisions but if you Love cute and you Love alpha soldiers and you Love puppies (dog) with smarty pants attitude and snark then Temptation Tango is your book and Annabella Stone did an Amazing job
There is not much better than an alpha man fall in love, but when it also includes his K-9 best friend the awesome factor just skyrockets. So when Annabella Stone brings together Rafe and Parker in an unlikely but oh so steamy romance and adds in adorable and steadfast K-9 Balas the story goes to another level. This is a romance you do not want to miss. Absolutely loved it!!
Balas needed a story with him more of a character in it.
Good story for Rafe. He been kind of quite through this series and he had a good story to!d. Parker was adorable. Not shy. Small town guy running literally into an old childhood friend and asks to be kissed. Fun way to start a story.
Great book gets into the story quickly. Characters are well described and you fall in love with them straight way. Rafe a member of lynx goes back home to buy his grandparents house. Parker is the bartender who needs a favour. This book brings in all your favourite lynx characters and their crazy banter. Plus balas the great lovable woofer
I loved Rafe and Parker's story. Rafe wants to find the home he remembers and feel the love and family connection he had with his grandparents. Parker remembers having a crush on Rafe from years ago. Lots of intriguing twist with dogs, bombs and big hunky men.
I would have given the book more stars but this book needs to be proofread. There are enough mistakes with words in places they shouldn’t be or missing words, that disrupt the flow of the book. Otherwise, I enjoyed the story, especially Balas.
I still love how Annabella Stone creates dynamics between the couples. This story of shared surprise love was precious. Add in a dog and you are asking for fun.
Book:Temptation’s Tango Author: Annabella Stone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: MM Military Romance Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️ Pub Date: September 3rd, 2022
Who doesn’t love a book with a dog? An MM military romance with a K9? Yes please sign me up! The relationship between Rafe and Balas will melt your heart ❤️ Throw in your former best friends little brother, your home down that not seems to be in the crosshairs of a drug lord to add some drama and excitement.
The cliff hanger ending 🔥🔥🔥! The authors website says that the next book will be the conclusion of the series but we’ve got 3 team Lynx left…. Does that mean we are are getting an MMM?!? I’m here for this!
