*The most elusive of the Twin Moon wolves is back, and he’s on a mission.*
Contrary to her mother’s opinion, no-nonsense policewoman Andrea “Andie” Hale doesn’t need a new job, a new hairdo, or a new man. She has everything she needs — a steady job, a cozy home, and hundred-mile views of the landscape she loves. Plus, a secret friend she doesn’t dare admit to — not even to herself.
Wolf shifter Roy Taylor turned his back on his pack and the human world years ago, and he’s sworn never to return. Life in the wild is so much simpler. No complex relationships, no conflicts, no compromise. It’s just him, the open desert, and the stars. But something — okay, someone — keeps pulling him back to a small, lonely house way out on the edge of town.
But the human world spells trouble — and not just for the heart. Ruthless developers are muscling in on a pristine landscape, and a vile, supernatural creature prowls, threatening Andie. A skinwalker — truth or legend? Either way, Roy is forced to make impossible choices. Love. Freedom. Destiny. Which can Roy save, and which must he sacrifice?
USA Today and Amazon best-selling author Anna Lowe loves putting the "hero" back into heroine and letting location ignite a passionate romance. She likes a heroine who is independent, intelligent, and imperfect — a woman who's doing just fine on her own. But give the heroine a good man (not to mention a chance to overcome her own inhibitions) and she'll never turn down the chance for adventure, nor shy away from danger.
On any given weekend, you might find her hiking in the mountains or hunched over her laptop, working on her latest story. Either way, the day will end with a chunk of dark chocolate and a good read.
This episode swept me away from the troublesome reality of my life of late. Yet even when I reread earlier episode to refresh my memory of of the Twin Moon ranch Ms. Lowe's words still swept me to another time and place filled with handsome cowboys who happened to be shifters, the feisty women they loved and whatever obstacles stood in their way.
For this story a wolf shifter in his wolf self for so long due to a past he that he wanted to forget. Yet this police woman drew him to the point he would creep closer. The policewoman who went to her rock to find peace and enjoy the night stars who watched this wolf carefully and spoke about her day. This unlikely pair would face many obstacles to find the whisper of destiny's promise.
For my fellow shifter fans who love this genre as much as myself I encourage you to see for yourself and maybe get swept to another time and place like I did. Yes I received a complimentary copy that I voluntarily chose to read and give my own honest opinion in my own words which will never be sold.
Awesome addition to the series. I have read the rest of the series over and over. I absolutely love them and recommend them to everyone. There is so much intrigue, emotions, twists and turns and surprises in them. Each book can be read alone but recommend also you read them in order. I love this author and will read anything she writes. I am never dissapointed. No spoilers other than they both don't have an easy time of it but loved it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I’ve missed my Anna Lowe shifters! Wolf-shifter Roy Taylor has left the human world for years. But he is drawn to police officer Andrea “Andie” Hale. He has befriended her in his wolf form - and been dubbed “Buck” by Andie.
Rumors of a skin walker and animal attacks create the need for Roy to rediscover his human side so he can get closer to Andie. Danger, magic, romance and the importance of pack and fated mates! Thoroughly enjoyable.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
All of Anna Lowe’s books are amazing but the Twin Moon Ranch series is my all-time favorite. I love this series and was so excited to be back reading another book that takes place there. Andie and Roy are great characters and you will love their story. Danger, shifters, romance and a wonderful setting. Great addition to the series.
I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author with absolutely no obligation.
Oh how I loved revisiting the Twin Moon Ranch world. Andie and Roy are so alike, both alone in the world looking for somewhere to belong. Andie, strong competent police woman drew me in as she is making a new start in a new community. Roy has apparently been a loner a long time, but feels instantly connected to Andie. Their falling in love and mating story leads the storyline but they have to survive a mysterious big baddie first.
What a brilliant addition to the series, well worth the wait as it's been too long.
Andie and Roy will keep you engrossed in the book from the very start and you will not want to put it down until you finish. The out of this world chemistry,, the myths, the suspicious locals, and greedy ranch owners all make for captivating read.
I didn't realize how much I miss this series until I started reading this title. It's a well written story about a strongly independent woman finding her love. Sweet, poignant, sexy, and with a mystery to be solved, what's not to love?! Great read I love to suggest.
I just love this Twin Moon community and the satisfying heartwarming stories of their lives and journeys to true love and family. In other books l have wondered about Roy and what his story was so this shoot off was welcomed. Small amount of romantic sexual content. RECOMMENED STORY, RECOMMENDED SERIES. BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN.
It was great to be back at Twin Moon Ranch!! Enjoy the touching, passionate romance, likable characters, cool shifter premise, and the fun dash of danger and suspense. An entertaining read! Lowe’s books are feel good reads for me!
I enjoyed this return to the southwest and meeting Roy and Andie. Loved reconnecting with several characters from earlier books in the Twin Moons Ranch series. The story was satisfying with a little magic, a little mystery and a fated mates shifter romance. Really enjoyed it.
It's been a while since I read anything by Anna Lowe and even longer since I visited the wonderful world she created at the Twin Moon Ranch. It was lovely being able to return and visit with the wolves who live there. This story is about Buck and how he met his mate, Andy aka Andrea a police officer who has sworn off men!
Andy only allows herself to be close to one living thing, he's the reason she can’t wait to go home every night, he's Buck, he isn't a dog as you might expect but a wolf. She knows he's a wild animal but she feels safe with him and trusts that he won't attack her. Buck sits with her and listens to her woes and seems to understand everything she tells him.
Buck and Andy are both loners, a tragedy caused Buck to leave the Twin Moon Ranch swearing never to return but then for some reason, he couldn't resist the pull Twin Moons has on him and he returned and found Andy, his fated mate. But he's remained in his wolf form for so long what will happen when he takes his human form will Andy, accept him then?
But when he turned he was naked and needed to find clothes so he broke into an empty trailer. Andy’s neighbour called to report an intruder, so their meeting first with him in his human form was with him at the end of her gun being read his rights! Thankfully Yvette convinces Andy that he's a man in need of help rather than jail and asks her to let him go. Yvette then arranges a job for him at the Lazy Q Ranch. As Andy and Buck keep finding themselves in close proximity Andy begins to trust Buck but then things happen which could bring an end to their budding relationship. What will happen when she learns he's a shifter and that she's his fated mate? Will the shifter and the police officer work things out? To find out you will have to read this well-crafted, story full of secrets, surprises, violence, intrigue and romance.
Their once was cop and lone wolf sitting on a boulder
This is a tale about a cop and a lone wolf. When a cop and wolf get together, they create magic. Roy left Twin Moon Ranch after tragedy happens in his family. He thought he finally found his place to fit in only to be less down by he Alpha and the human cops. So he took to being a lone wolf roaming the world. But something or someone kept calling to him.
Andie has been a cop for over 12 years and believed she had seen everything. Ummm, nope. When a series of strange events start happening, animals being attacked by being ripped apart so gruesome that she starts to worry about her buddy wolf. Will he be alright? Is he the one doing the killing? She didn't really believe in the latter, but she had to !make it add up. Along comes strangers to her neck of the desert and powerful attraction that feels like fate brings the two people together. One to protect their territory and another their mate. This is a story of trust, love, and good as chocolate itself, out of his world explosive sex. Sex that makes you wanna grab a cig afterward and puff, puff, blow. This was an exhilarating story. Page turning does not want to be put down cuz its good but also wants you to savor it because its the final book in their series. As usual, I can not divulge too much of the story, but I can promise you, you won't be sorry.
Series: The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch #7 Rating: 3 stars - I liked it
While this book is part of a series, you don’t have to have read the previous books to understand what is going on, which is good because it's been years since I had read the previous books.
Andrea is an independent woman who doesn’t need a man. But she does enjoy spending time with a male wolf that keeps coming to her property. Wolf shifter Roy has spent years in his wolf form avoiding civilization and his old pack. But he keeps being pulled to Andrea and he quickly realizes it's because destiny is telling him she’s his mate. Roy and Andrea had an enjoyable fated mates relationship. I liked that Andrea didn’t automatically jump into his arms. She doesn’t trust him at first and it takes a while for her to give into her feelings. I also appreciated how Andrea handled finding out about shifters.
The whole situation with the murders and the skinwalker conspiracy was interesting. I enjoyed how it progressed and how it helped bring Andrea and Roy together. Overall, this was a very enjoyable fated mates romance and I look forward to reading more in this series, if there will be more anyways.

“Desert Destiny” is a thunderstorm of emotions, spine-chilling suspense, action and fiery, passionate romance that kept me turning pages to learn what took place next. Characters are engaging and vivid scene descriptions are dynamic.
Years ago, tragedy made wolf shifter Roy Taylor leave his pack home at the Twin Moon Ranch. He felt more comfortable roaming the desert as a wolf among the stars without human contact. When destiny pulls him back to the human world, his protective instincts kick in. Andie Hale, a police officer, befriends the wolf who comes to visit her at night under the stars. Together, they face life-threatening issues before reaching their happy forever.
Great heart-warming well written read, an intriguing plot and believable romance. Backstories make you feel closer to the characters. Andie shows courage when faced with unexpected, dangerous circumstances. Unconditional trust and love shine in this read; so glad Roy got his happy forever. An entertaining conclusion to a series I cherish. If wolf shifters were real, I would move to Twin Moon Ranch in heartbeat. I cheered at the conclusion and received a pre-release copy of this story.
This fascinating wolf shifter romance definitely caught my attention within the first few pages and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. (It can easily stand on its own, while being the seventh book of the “Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch” series) The plot is well-paced & has good world building with extremely good scene descriptions of some very interesting situations. The characters have interesting back-stories & are somewhat flawed individuals with unique personalities that ultimately complement each other very well. The secondary characters offer good support. There is: a male wolf shifter (Roy aka Buck) with a difficult choice to make, a very independent human female law enforcement officer (Andrea aka Andie), a strange but deadly paranormal creature, wolf shifters, pack issues, family issues, humans, fated mates, twists & turns, some humor, drama, suspense, intrigue, mystery, action, danger, threats, confrontations, love, happiness, some steamy scenes & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I look forward to future books from this talented author & would recommend this book (& the series) to people who enjoy reading this genre.
It was so great to come back to the area of Twin Moon Ranch and even get to catch up with all my favorite shifter couples at the end of the book. This story is about Roy Taylor, a wolf shifter who left Twin Moon Ranch years ago and has been living in his wolf form ever since. He might never have been seen again but then he "met" Andie, well his wolf did. She calls him Buck and sits outside with him for awhile most nights and talks to him like he is human. Roy's wolf says she is their mate, but Roy doesn't know what to do about that. He does his best to watch over her when she close-by but she is a cop and danger can come from anywhere. There is something going on in the area. Tales of skinwalkers, mangled livestock, a sense of evil. Roy knows he will have to come back into the human world if he wants to claim and protect his mate.
Loved Andie and Roy, they are two lonely souls who need each other. Destiny is going to fix that. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Having left behind a life of bitter moments and feelings of guilt, Roy no longer had any hope in the human world. In her line of work, Andie had already experienced many difficult situations that made her rethink things and navigate her loneliness the best way she could. I really liked Angie and Buck tender scenes, the peace that those moments radiated for both and the reflection and emotions that they evoked. Certainly, these two were meant for each other. The detailed descriptions and narrations made me immerse myself in the characters, understand their internal struggle and wait eagerly for the outcome. Interesting, intriguing, and out of the ordinary the threat that lurked. Weird! Liked that the Twin Moon Ranch wolves didn't fail to make an appearance. An interesting and entertaining story with action, suspense, strong emotions, intrigue, camaraderie, violence, romance, and passion. I voluntarily reviewed this copy which I enjoyed.
I've always loved the Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch and this book was great addition! Roy is a wolf shifter that left his pack and changing into a human many years ago.
Andrea (aka Andie) is a policewoman who loves her job and her part time jobs. At night, she's befriended a wolf that stops by her house to see her. It seems that the wolf is as excited to see her as she is to see it. She even named the wolf, Buck.
Unfortunately, there's something out there killing animals and people in a horrific way. Roy is determined to find out what it is and so is Andie. Roy decides to shift back into human form by day and wolf form at night. After a rocky start, Roy is adjusting to life as a human. Of course, he meets Andie on his first night back as a human and she's attracted to him even if she's wary of him.
It's a sweet romance between Andie and Roy as they work to figure out who is killing the animals and people in their town. A great addition to this series!
Andrea is a woman who has closed her heart to love but she seems to have something going on with the wolf who comes on occasion she sees him as her closest friend Buck. Buck is a wolf but he has been living on the mesa for a long time except for Andie. She being a deputy in their little town in Arizona. And ie is unaware of shifters but she is in deeper than she could have ever dreamed. Buck used to live on the Twin Moon Ranch with his family until he finds his brother which causes him to turn his back on the pack. Buck realizes that Andie is his mate and that he will have to become Roy again if he is planning on being with Andie but their is a killer in their mists and it is up to him to protect his mate. Megalomania can touch shifters too. An entertaining romantic mystery suspense. I read a copy via BookFunnel without obligation. I volunteered van honest review.
Desert Destiny is so good I read it in one day. Andie is a no-nonsense policewoman. In her off time she enjoys sitting on the large boulder behind her cabin. She enjoys the views of the landscape with her special friend, “Buck”. Roy is a wolf shifter who left his pack years ago. He has been in wolf form for all those years. He doesn’t even know if he can even return to his human form. All most ever night “Buck” comes and layers down on the ground below Andi. Farm animals are being ripped apart and Andie is helping investigate it. Everyone thinks a skinwalker. At every killing she sees “Buck”watching them. She hopes it is not him killing the animals. You will have to read the book to find out what happens.
Andie is a police officer in a small town and lives in a cabin on Lazy Q Ranch. The place is pretty isolated and that is how she was able to make friends with the wolf that hangs out by the ranch. Roy is the wolf who never fit in and never felt he belonged anywhere so he has always been on his own. The more time Roy spend with Andie the more he feels for her but worries about telling her who he really is.
What a great story and a fantastic ending. I just loved the characters in the story and I felt sorry for Roy and was glad he could find some happiness. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed; all opinions expressed are my own.
Lone wolf meets lone wolf This book follows Andie and Roy’s story. Police officer Andie is Kyle’s partner and she first appeared in Desert Fate (Twin Moon Ranch book 3, Kyle and Stefanie’s story). She likes her solitude and knows nothing about the shifter world. Roy was first mentioned in Salvation (Blue Moon Saloon book 4). He has been living in the wild in his wolf form for so long that he’s forgotten how to be human. He knows that Andie is his mate, so he has a difficult decision to make. It’s a satisfying ending when these two lone wolves get their HEA. Highly recommended.
I received a free copy of this book from the author, and I'm leaving a voluntary review.
Heartwarming, enjoyable and entertaining. Great to have human Andrea, a character we know well from previous books, get a HEA and with a former Twin Moon Ranch wolf. Roy had such sweet qualities. His patience and goodness showed in his interactions with Mick. They just made my heart flutter. The skinwalker/cassowary mania was entertaining, if a bit sad. But I loved the epilogue when Roy and Andie gathered with the wolves of twin moon ranch for a full moon run. This is my honest review of this book.
Roy is a lone wolf living in the wild by himself. Until he comes upon Andie. Andie is surprised a wolf would be wary but tame. She feels a connection with him. Roy finally decides to shift back to human form to try to win his mate. Andie, as a police officer, is wary of Roy. But as she notices his kindness, she lets him into her heart. What happens when another shifter threatens Andie and she finds out Roy is a wolf? Very exciting story.
This is the 7th book in the Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series by Anna Lowe and this is Andrea (Andie) Hale (no-nonsense policewoman) and Roy Taylor (Wolf shifter/lone wolf) Roy Taylor’s story. Both are loners and lonely, both have chemistry that just keeps pumping. Can these two people help heal each other? You will have to read this beautifully written book to find out! I was given this book by the author for my honest review.
We’re back by Twin Moon ranch and with an exciting new couple. Something is going on by the ranch and a lone wolf who left when he was young is back and meets his mate who is a police officer in the area. The author brings back a loved area with new characters and favorites in a new story. I hope we get to visit again soon!
Shifter romance at its very best! I just love this author's shifter books - I just hope I'm the fated mate of a strong, handsome and loyal wolf shifter ... but while I'm waiting for him to find me, losing myself in these stories is the best way to spend my time! Hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!
A lone wolf, who has spent years without his pack befriends a lonely cop who lives on the outskirts of town. He comes to visit her nightly as his wolf, but when he realizes that she's his mate, he needs to re-enter the world again to win her over and protect her from another shifter who's causing chaos in town.
