Talk about impossible! Luffy and the Straw Hats have to find a way to sail to an island in the sky, and the only one who can show them the way is known to be a greater liar than Usopp! It won't be easy, but can they trust their lives to someone nobody believes in?!
Eiichiro Oda (尾田栄一郎, Oda Eiichirō) is a Japanese manga artist, best known as the creator of the manga and anime One Piece.
As a child, Oda was inspired by Akira Toriyama's works and aspired to become a manga artist. He recalls that his interest in pirates was probably sparked by the popular TV animation series titled Vicky the Viking. He submitted a character named Pandaman for Yudetamago's classic wrestling manga Kinnikuman. Pandaman was not only used in a chapter of the manga but would later return as a recurring cameo character in Oda's own works.

I am just so, so, so excited to read the next volumes even though i already know what's gonna happen. Let's go to the sky, Skypiea is awaiting! P.S. That punch always gives me the chills.
Back when I first got to reading One Piece, this was the latest volume to have come out (in Finland): from this point on began the grueling month-long wait before I'd get to read some more. And still, good fifteen years later, it contains some of the highlights of the entire series. It's where world-wide politics first come up, where we get to meet some of the mightiest men in the entire setting, where the so-far longest-serving antagonist and the potential main villain of the whole story were first introduced, where the Straw Hats begin their craziest adventure for a while, and where we see one of the most hilariously one-sided fights in the story as Luffy knocks a loud punk into the earth.
The world really comes to life here. Its borders are set, and the main characters are placed within in a concrete manner. They're still small-time, but they're getting there.
It's also where Chopper starts to grow into a bit of a dumbass, though, so it's not quite perfect.
This is a HUGE volume for quality content. So many big names show up. I'm telling you, when Oda decides he's taking the gloves off, you won't find anything better. From this point forward you can consider this series a golden egg. It took a while, but here we are. Oda has been driving the scenic routes through quiet rural towns, but now he's on the highway and he's never slowing down again.
5/5 stars!!! It's so cool to read this after watching the episodes because I get to see all the foreshadowing and there's so many things I didn't realize would become so important.
I forgot that there are many bigshots appearing in this volume!
-----
There are a lot of important figures introduced in this volume. I think those characters are going to be significant in the overall plot, not just in a single, small arc. Shanks made an appearance, and Ace too. A few of the seven warlords were introduced too. But for now, they're off to the sky island!

I really like Mont Blanc Cricket and his story. Not going to lie, I'd quite like to live on my own on a remote island. I'm still intrigued by this new arc.
This volume that at first sight looks so insignificant, a filler, is what sets everything in motion for the story to be. There is Bellamy and Blackbeard, we see a slice of what going against Whitebeard means, the introduction of the high powers and the holy land of Mariejois, Doflamingo and Kuma. Every thing that was narrated in this volume is linked to the events that will happen in the future and it's just so satisfying to read!
One Piece, Vol. 25 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next ten chapters (227–236) of the on-going manga series.
This tankōbon concludes the Jaya Arc. The Straw Hats meet with Mont Blanc Cricket, a descendant of the first person to discover Skypiea. Though Skypiea is widely believed to be a myth, and Cricket's ancestor was a liar, he searches for evidence that can confirm Skypiea's existence. Over the years he has come to believe that Skypiea, once a part of Jaya, was launched into a cloud by a powerful upward current of water.
If the Straw Hats want to reach Skypiea they will need to ride that same current, but must first locate a special bird that will help them find their way. While Monkey D. Luffy and company go searching for the bird, Bellamy attacks and robs Cricket in an attempt to crush his dreams of finding Skypiea. Enraged to learn this, after returning with the bird, Luffy seeks out and defeats Bellamy to recover Cricket's belongings. Cricket thanks him, and the Straw Hats leave to ride the current to Skypiea.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Eiichirō Oda. For the most part, it is written and illustrated rather well. This two tankōbon story arc nicely bridges the previous massive Arabasta Arc with the next massive storyline – seemingly. Key elements of this story arc introduce Marshall D. Teach, Whitebeard, Bartholomew Kuma, and Donquixote Doflamingo for the first time and the Five Elders are introduced, which are a group of the highest-ranking heads of states for the World Government.
All in all, One Piece, Vol. 25 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
What a special arc. It perfectly captures the spirit of Luffy in a moment referring to his backstory. Also his fight in the end was such a cold moment. We meet Blackbeard for the first time and for me his introduction is still a mystery to this day. Blackbeard is the character I am most excited for to unveil all his secrets. Loved the worldbuilding as well and I am now very excited to fly up to skypiea and discover that fantastic island anew.
SKYPIEA PART 2; Vol. 25: The 100 Million Berry Man
227: Noland the Liar 228: Mont Blanc Cricket, the Last Boss of the Monkey Mountain Allied Force 229: Let's Eat 230: Pursue the South Bird! 231: Bellamy the Hyena 232: The 100 Million Berry Man 233: The World's Greatest Power 234: Please Remember 235: The Knock Up Stream 236: The Ship Sails to the Sky
THIS VOLUME WAS SO GOOD! Luffy and co meet Montblanc cricket and he tells them of a way to get to Sky Island and it sounds strange but it turns out to be true. He tells him of how he was ridiculed because of his ancestor who was a liar but what he said maybe real. Also then they attacked by Bellamy who take the gold thing, so while the others are fixing the ship its upto Luffy to get the gold back from these pirates. They dont take him seriously and he defeats them all single handedly and thats when they learn of the 100 million bounty man. Also we get first look at Whitebeard, Blackbeard, whats going on with Ace, and the SCHIBUKAI - Donquixote Doflamingo and Bartholomew Kuma! 3 big future villains down the line and for that alone it makes it one of the best volumes!
