As the epic battle between the Straw Hats and almighty Eneru moves toward a dramatic finish, the crew must work together if they can ever hope to defeat this powerful enemy. Will they be able to ring the Golden Bell and save Skypiea? Or will this be a foe that even the Straw Hats cannot defeat?
Eiichiro Oda (尾田栄一郎, Oda Eiichirō) is a Japanese manga artist, best known as the creator of the manga and anime One Piece.
As a child, Oda was inspired by Akira Toriyama's works and aspired to become a manga artist. He recalls that his interest in pirates was probably sparked by the popular TV animation series titled Vicky the Viking. He submitted a character named Pandaman for Yudetamago's classic wrestling manga Kinnikuman. Pandaman was not only used in a chapter of the manga but would later return as a recurring cameo character in Oda's own works.

In the recent years, it's sometimes nagged me a little how Luffy tends to hog the climactic fight from other people - how I'd have liked for the Red Scabbards to beat Kaido, or for Law to beat Doflamingo, instead of getting their asses kicked and needing the main hero to come save the day. But that's what he's always been doing, from the very start. He shoulders the burdens of other people's dreams and grudges and regrets, then finishes what they started... usually without even knowing the full context, or caring, just doing whatever the hell he likes. He had no idea of the previous volume's flashback. I don't think he's ever seen a single one himself.
So the fight ends, in a party and some plot revelations and, later, starting up a whole new thing. I also liked the hyping up of Doflamingo. In a way he's probably the single most enduring villain the story's had so far - introduced so early, yet put in his place only in the recent years.

One Piece, Vol. 32 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next ten chapters (296–305) of the on-going manga series.
This tankōbon concludes the Skypiea Arc and begins the next one. With the destruction of the sea of clouds almost complete, Monkey D. Luffy is finally able to reach and defeat Eneru, saving Skypiea and all its inhabitants. As Eneru falls, Luffy rings the golden bell confirming Skypiea's existence for Cricket, and ending the Shandians' reasons for fighting with Angel Island.
The two sides live together on Skypiea, Ganfor reclaims his position as god, and Eneru escapes the clouds to explore the earth outside. The Straw Hats, having become saviors again, secretly flee once more. This time they take pillaged treasures, unaware that the Shandians wish to offer them much more, and return to the blue seas.
They eventually arrive on an island where they meet Foxy, who challenges them to a competition among pirates.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Eiichirō Oda. For the most part, it is written and illustrated rather well. The first half of the tankōbon finally concludes the Skypiea Arc, which spans seven tankōbon and over sixty chapters. It concluded the storyline rather well and the second half of the tankōbon focuses on the Straw Hat Pirates' next adventure with the introduction of Foxy – captain of the Foxy Pirates.
All in all, One Piece, Vol. 32 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
Okay I have to admit the end of this arc hits the feels pretty hard. The bell ringing for the first time just does that to you ^^ Then the return to the ocean is pretty nice too.
Skypiea arc is finally finished. It was extremely boring at the beginning and it took me around 3 months to finish it. Either way, Enel has been a "God" with extremely interesting powers and a... Disappointing typical goal. Lightning is overpowered in every single anime, and Luffy being completely immune to it feels hella convenient. There is also not a single major death in this arc which is disappointing even if many of the masses died. Plot armor was on an entirely new level, but I don't tend to think about it too much. My rating isn't any lower because the pace got steadily picked up when shit hit the fan, and Norland's backstory was probably the highlight of the entire arc, it was better than the whole story so far lol. Overall an okay arc, and I'll probably be taking a break again because after the great battle of every arc comes the slow pacing and the buildup for the next one, so I'm not very interested in the Foxy pirates or Long Island for the time being. I'll be returning to it when I'm in the mood.
There is so much to love about this island. The unique worldbuilding, with the many different dials and clouds. The history of the island itself. The iconic feast with the wolves. I really loved the art in this arc, especially the panels including lightning looked amazing. I didn’t really like most of the fights and enemy’s, but I think the concept of the big game was very nice. I was also happy to see Chopper have his time to shine in a fight against a strong opponent. Luffys fight with Enel was also very nice and Enel was a good villain with cool powers and interesting schemes. Sanjis face-off with Enel was one of the coldest moments in the entire arc.
The ending was so goooooood. I loved everything about it. Luffy got to shine big time, you just have to love him. Also a lot of interesting worldbuilding elements were introduced and continued in this arc.
Skypiea was definitely better than i remembered from the anime, but maybe it was a pacing issue in the anime idk.
Damn I loved this. The end of Skypeia was amazing! Loved it so much!!! It was genuinely moving seeing this tie into the backstory we got in the last volume. And then we journey to a new Long Island and start a new arc! I love this series sm.
Hell yes this ending was good! 100% won me over, best Arc so far. Best Saga still goes to Alabasta though.
Pretty interesting, in Alabasta I disliked how the Conclusion was too long (aka the Confrontation) and in Sky Island I'd critizise the opposite. Buildup was weird and too long/ too much time without actually accomplishing anything big. Let's see if Oda gets both things done in the next saga. Water 7 it is, let's go.
Arc Ranking so far:
1. Skypiea 2. Alabasta 3. Logue Town 4. Reverse Mountain 5. Drum Kingdom 6. Arlong Park 7. Baratie 8. Little Garden 9. Jaya 10. Whiskey Peak 11. Syrup Village 12. Orange Town 13. Romance Dawn
A decent transition into a new arc. This arc was always a okay arc to me, don't much care about horses but still some really funny moments with Luffy and Chopper. But overall just a decent kind of filler volume till the next big, and best arc, of the series. A 3 out of 5.
I enjoyed reading Skypiea after catching up with the anime especially since there so many things in this arc that are important in the future arcs so it was like “easter eggs”
Skypiea is soo beautiful tbh like i absolutely love it<33
SKYPIEA ARC - FINAL PART 1. ancient weapons mentioned! is the 'poseidon' weapon and the 'pluton' weapon both the same type? are they all named after greek/roman gods?
2. omg gol d. roger wrote the ponegliffs !!!! AND HE'S ALSO GOT A 'D' IN THE NAME. connection to luffy??
These five stars are for the end of the Skypiea Arc. I've never been a big fan of Foxy and am choosing to ignore the final two chapters in this volume with this rating. The real question is: when will One Piece stop making me cry? Because it's not 32 volumes in.
Freakin finally. This arc was a drag but the conclusion was p great and I cried when he finally rang that damn bell and all the villages came together in celebration.
UGH SKYPIEA. I LOVE YOU. i forgot how hard this arc goes and the ending of it is perfect. love the final hit. love the after math and how everything goes over. we get more BIG WORLD LORE which is great. overall??? man it just FUCKS
If only the entire arc had been as fantastic as the finale! It delivered everything I hoped it would, and then some. This should have been a shortened volume: the introduction of the next arc does not belong as a post script to Skypiea's fantastic finish. I was not emotionally ready or interested in moving on, yet!
Here comes the final volume for sky island, it was fantastic! The overwhelming emotion for Noland and Kalgara's friendship by their descendents, awesome! The bell, the polygraph, the history, the truth, everything just come in as one, and awhhhh!! It was just great! I know I am repeating myself, but the emotions are just, aargh!!! Wiper officially became one of my fav characters, his boldness, loyalty, courage, bad-ass temper! He is really a warrior to the core, like his anchestors! Cricket too! and finally Luffy who has the guts and determination to ring the bell! It was as if, I can hear the bell from Sky Island. It was like a dream, a perfect dream, and the people on sky island live happily ever after? Ohhh, who knows... someone will go up there very soon! The 'D' is mentioned again, oh my, I was so excited for this whole thing to reveal itself! 4.75 stars because the upcoming chapter is the most annoying one!! I'm not sure which challenge to fit in, but hey, this might be the 7th book of it, so yeah!! 2nd challenge, success!

We finally reach the end of the Sky Island saga and what an epic ending it is for Luffy and co, the fight between Enel and Luffy was epic and the motivation of Luffy to ring the bell to redeem his ancestor and all the people watching it with anticipation and when he finally defeats ENEL its so epic, and he rings the bell smashing him and wow what an epicness it is, its anew dawn and the emotions there of all those people just wow, a new day is there for Angels and the Shandora descendants and the way they escape with gold is something lol, next we pick up with the crew they are travelling to other islands, they need some repairs on the "Going merry" their ship until they arrive on some island where everything is super large or stretched and we meet this man Tanjit and learn about the RING ISLAND and how it becomes 10 island because of waves and then we meet the villains: FOXY PIRATES and its upto Luffy to battle them in a contest now?! It was an epic finish and a good start to the new arc!

A piecemeal volume, but all three of the pieces are things Oda does extremely well. The bombastic climax to the Eneru battle, an extended sequence of sentimental farewells to Skypiea and the arc's supporting cast, and finally a new island where he gets to enjoy himself drawing ridiculously elongated animals. As usual with One Piece, the themes of loyalty, determination, resilience and joy in life are strong and I left the volume with an immense sense of goodwill.
Ya se han marchado de SkyPiea :'( esperaba que ahora viniese algo interesante pero se han encontrado con Foxy y esos capítulos los recordé como muy pesados y algo aburridos, espero que al leerlos no me pase lo mismo que con el anime.
I still have problems with the portrayal of native peoples, and with the ends of wars, but I sobbed while reading this. All the discussions of God and the importance of prayer in dark times hit so hard. And the bell... and the snakes.... owch my heart
