I love a good support team, probably because I don’t have one.
Sam and Dakota were super sweet together. I liked the bedroom coach name she gave him. Sam was also really encouraging which was something Dakota needed after past relationships. In fact I liked the way they built each other up.
My only real complaint, and honestly it’s such a stupid one, but Sam was too nice. I like a little grit with my fictional men. Even his bossiness in the bedroom felt toned down. Find a man like Sam in real life and I’m sure any girl would be happy, he’s just a little boring in a book.
I am intrigued by Xander and Sophie’s story as well as Del and Ingrid. The next book coming up sounds really good too.

It’s always great when you enjoy a book more than you anticipated. A lot of that was thanks to Hunter’s playful personality, which is a far cry from the Hunter we meet at the beginning. There he seemed grumpy and morose, though the fact his teammates all liked him showed he had a good side underneath that. Bethany was obviously a trigger for him, but led to all the fun that ensues with Peyton. Peyton was so good at breaking down Hunter’s barriers by being her genuine, sweet self. My favourite parts were the moments between the two of them. They felt so natural and authentic. As for Bethany, there’s a special place in Hell for people like her. Whilst I liked Book 1 in the Hawkeyes series I much prefer this one. It was fun and flirty, and the chemistry was perfect.

A hockey romance that I enjoyed. I liked the characters, I liked the romance but I felt like I needed more. Steele was so all in from the get-go that there never felt like there were any stakes involved at all. Don’t get me wrong from the description of him, if I was his best friend I’d have been climbing all over him. Maybe it’s because he was a little too nice. Even his dominant, bossy bedroom side felt out of character. Lilah was sweet, but again I felt pulled toward her girl group. They seemed sassy and fun and I want to know more. I did see at the end of the book there was a prequel to the series. That might have changed my reading experience as at the beginning I felt like situations had already happened that I didn’t understand. What did capture my attention was River and his longing for Callie. Their book is the next one and I’m intrigued. ...more

Wilder has gone through a lot personally, and his cocky cowboy attitude is nowhere to be found, which makes sense since he’s no longer a cocky rodeo star. He’s suffered since the end of the last book, and done a lot of work in therapy. Given the chance to reconnect with Charlotte, he takes it and realises he missed out on even more than he thought. This was a good completion to the duology and I liked how their journey came back full circle. Charli was a stand out character. I liked the way she was open to Wilder and didn’t blame him for his past behaviour.

I think this is the first time in a while I’ve read a single POV, and it was the MMC. It was written so well that I never felt like I didn’t know Daisy. Speaking of Daisy, I am in awe of her. She was so strong, supportive and loving. Her and Jett were true soulmates and I loved that we got a lifelong relationship between them. Even though it left me in tears with a headache.
Jett was the kind of man you’d want by your side. Not hugely demonstrative or emotional unless it was with his Daze or his kids/grandkids. His love for them was obvious in everything he did. This book is going to stay with me for a long time. It could be my new favourite Siena Trap story. I’m going to have to let my emotions calm down before I figure out if it’s taken over Frozen Heart Face-off.

As an author she has a way of emotionally pulling me into her stories, and once I’m emotionally invested I’m all in. Baylee and Maverick were no exception. Their connection was teased over the last two books and I was desperate for it. Mav, what a man. I understood why he reacted the way he did as a teen so didn’t hold that against him. Baylee was tenacious and stubborn and it served her well as life was not easy for her. She was a “pick yourself up by the bootstraps” kind of girl and I loved her. The last book in the Bradford series and my first Tia Louise book. Got things a little turned round there but it still worked out.
I really liked this family. There is sometimes a tendency when there’s a big family to lose track of who’s who, especially coming in this late. The author did a great job with that because I know who everyone is, how they connect and I even know their kids names. Yay for me. In fact I’m already invested enough to not only want to read this series but the next gen one coming in October.
Allie and Jack had the cutest relationship at the beginning. They’d look after each others children and it was obvious to the world apparently, that Allie had a big old crush on Jack. Ironic that it was another parent insinuating Jack was playing favourites as the football coach and receiving “favours” from Allie that kinda pushed these two together. But Jack has a secret, a dirty secret he’s not sure Allie can cope with. More fool you Jack because she’s all in.
They were equal parts hot together and super sweet when around others. Jack was also very protective. Kimmie, Jack’s daughter was a stand out side character. I actually can’t wait to see who she finally marries.

Essie is all sunshine and rainbows and wants to find “the one”. Nate is the Mr Grumpy, love isn’t real type. One kiss 6 years ago, one great kiss, has meant these two haven’t stopped thinking about each other. Thrown together as best man/maid of honour hormones and feelings bubble up. Nate’s an engineer and nothing gets Essie hotter than Nate speaking all science-y to her. It’s actually cute, but don’t worry there’s still some filthy talk going on.
For fans of this world, we get to see everyone from the Toronto Terror series and the Chilton U students. This was like a fun visit with friends who decided to dish some drama at the end. Dred and Connor and a marriage of convenience. But why the need to get married??
Putting out to the universe that I need Sam and Isaac’s stories.

I had a feeling in Beau’s book that Mason was going to end up with his sister and yay, it happened. I now hope my other wish that Margot gets a book will also be true. She would be one unhinged FMC.
When the book starts we see that both Mason and Abby are feeling alone and off centre with others. I never felt like I got a real reason for those feelings, however once Abby and Mason reconnected that was all that mattered to me. I could feel the spark between them, and I appreciated that PB gave their relationship time to grow. Cutie Theo was the linchpin they revolved around. With Abby helping out the forced proximity did wonders for them. Both having been secretly pining for years, they finally get the opportunity to explore a greater connection. I really liked both of them. Abby had these hard, brittle edges that hid all her soft vulnerabilities, whilst Mason was a man trying to be the best dad he could be. They truly made each other feel whole.
I think the author did a fantastic job getting the reader to fall in love with this little family. I love it when I’m reading and I’m fully immersed in what’s happening.

I liked that he was determined to go above and beyond to make sure Sabrina stayed available. Him answering her door naked had me laughing. Obviously that man has no reason to hide. My absolute favourite book I’ve read so far this year. I adored it. It’s not often I personally identify with a character but being in Waverly’s mind was so reminiscent of a certain time in my life. There was one page in particular where she’s lying on her bed going through every bad thing about herself, and it could have been a page from one of my own journals. Ugh, heart wrenching. There are heavy themes but I felt it was all handled sensitively.
One thing that surprised me is how much I liked Keene. He’s always been slightly annoying to me because he’s so peppy and seems immature. Never mind his man-whore ways. But I really felt like I understood him and why he is the way he is, and you know what I realised. We could all use a Keene Dugger in our lives. His first meeting with Waverly’s parents is an excellent example why.
He and Waverly were so perfect together. They couldn’t be more opposite, but that’s what works for them. She calmed him down and he pushed her out of her comfort zone. I just loved everything about them.
There is so much more I could say, but honestly do yourself a favour and pick it up. It could be read as a stand-alone but the series is so much better read in order. The Life Wish and this book were both 6 star reads for me. However, from the moment Thane and Nova were mentioned as childhood sweethearts I have been desperate for their story, and it’s up next. I would do a number of seriously twisted things to have that book in my hand. ...more

I loved seeing our pink, sparkly princess.
I love a second chance marriage book, and I had hoped this would give all the yearning and angst you get from those. My issue was , whilst I liked Clay and Josie, and I felt they belonged together, too much time was spent on flashbacks and very little time of the present. I wanted to see them fight for each other, work through their issues and ultimately be stronger together. I was also low-key angry at Josie. I hate when a character makes a self-sacrificing decision but doesn’t take into account that they’ve left the other person with no choice.
Little niggles aside, I really did like the story. Even with my copious amount of tears.
