This series didn’t grab me from the start as it did for many readers, but I’m glad I kept going as it definitely grew on me. I struggled with the relationship between the MCs for the first couple of books (and didn’t much like Cooper), but as their characters and relationship matured and developed, so did the appeal.
This one hit me in the feels and finally gave me what I was looking for from the first book. Took until books 4 and 5 to get me there, but it was worth it.

I still found the second chance romance aspect satisfying, even though it was secondary to the main plot. Loved the paranormal element and so glad this wasn’t a standalone as I can’t wait to read more!...more
