Lucid Motors unveiled its most powerful electric vehicle yet, blending four door practicality with hypercar performance.
With it’s three-motor powertrain, the Lucid Air Sapphire produces over 1,200 horsepower and can sprint from 0-60 mph in less than two seconds, before reaching a top speed of over 200 mph.
Other go-fast goodies include carbon ceramic brakes, a new aerodynamic package, sport seats, and a track-tuned suspension. Lucid also revamped the Air’s ABS, traction and stability control, and power steering systems, all to handle the increase in power.
Lucid is calling the car the world’s first fully electric luxury super-sports sedan, but it’s not a one-off. Future performance-tuned models from Lucid are also going to wear the Sapphire badge.
