Spring is tough—it’s the last hope for incredibly based men of culture light-jacket-enjoyers and cold-weather-lovers alike, but it can also be the season of sweating out Wild Turkey on disgustingly humid subway platforms. (That is to say, get those long-sleeved fits off while you can, boys.) I like to wear clothes that 1) fit me well, and 2) won’t make me cringe when I look at pictures of myself 20 years from now—that’s why, in the spring, I wear simple stuff like blue jeans, boots, and short-sleeved collared shirts I can tuck in.

Summer is my least favorite season. My approach is simply to ignore the heat and, within reason, carry on dressing as I normally would in more comfortable weather. The majority of my time is spent in an air-conditioned office, anyway, so layers are still on the table—albeit with lighter fabrics and looser silhouettes—as are dark colors. Lightweight parkas, humongous, flowy pants, and poplin shirts, etc. Leaning into accessories to fill out the rest is key, too. Think funky belts, slick shades, and quirky bags. Go forth, forget the heat, and dress on.
