What do you do?

I am a freelance illustrator who works with clients to bring ideas to life through creativity.

What do you like to draw?

I like drawing just about anything really! it is easier for me to say what I do not like drawing. I do not prefer drawing boats, robots, or heavy machinery at this time.

What art programs do you use for creating?

For creating, I use primarily Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, and Illustrator. I also use Procreate for on the go creation.

How long have you been an illustrator?

I have been a working illustrator and designer for 8 years. Started out doing private commissions around my town, and for people online.

Where are you based out of?

I am an illustrator residing in the United States of America.

Did you attend art school?

I attended two art schools! My foundation year was at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, then I finished out the remaining 3 years at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Do you sell your art online anywhere?

I do! my online shop is named The Critter Corner and can be found under the SHOP tab, You can buy the kids books i’ve illustrated here.

Your art looks familiar, where have I seen you before?

You have likely seen my art first online! I have a LOT of social media accounts and use to be active on Deviantart and Twitter back in the day. I am still active on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and rarely active on Facebook. My artwork can also be found on networking websites such as Dribble and Behance.

Do you sell your art in person?

I do, when I can I sell at art conventions and markets. Past conventions include Emerald City Comic Con, and Light Box Expo.

Has your art ever won any awards or competitions?

I am blessed to say that my art has some some awards in the past 8 years. I have received recognition from The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, The Art Directors Club (ADC), Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, the Communication Awards, World Illustration Awards, and 3 x 3 Illustration.

Does your artwork show in any galleries?

My art has exhibited in galleries across the country. Some gallery showings include the Baltimore Washington Thurgood-Marshall Airport, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, SCAD Open studio night, and The Society of Illustrators.

Do you work in vector?

Yes! I have 5 years of experience working in Adobe illustrator.

Do you draw people, or do you only draw animals?

I draw people primarily for my client work and job, but they’re also in my sketchbook frequently.

Has your art ever been published?

I have illustrated two childrens books, two books covers, spot illustrations for 3 magazines, and a handful of editorial illustrations. The current childrens books are Solitary Animals: Introverts of the wild, and Everyone Starts Small.

Have you worked with animation?

Yes! I am a background painter who has done some work for many Multi-animator Projects. I have also illustrated assets for music videos and commercials.

Is this your only website?

UPDATE 2025: Yes, this is my only website. I did have 2 other sites but I have since shut them down or am in the process of doing so. It is just so much easier to have everything about me all in one place.

What clients have you worked for?

Some of my clients include, Netflix, Snapchat, Macy’s, and MeUndies. You can see more of my client list under the About page.

What did the username euqinimodart mean, and why did you change it?

It is simply my first name backwards, plus the word “art”. I created it in college sophomore year when I noticed other artists creating fancy aliases (little did we know that we’d have to change our usernames years later).

Are euqinimodart and dominiqueramseyart the same artist?

Yes, both of those are my usernames. My art did change drastically around 2020 so anyone who knew my art 2015-2019 will be quite confused.

Do you still go by euqinimodart on social media?

EDIT SEPT 2025: I have locked my Twitter account and no longer use it. My Bluesky handle name has been changed to @dominiqueramseyart for consistency.

I do, both my Twitter and Bluesky account still go by euqinimodart. Bluesky is much newer and created after my username change, but It is not a professional site so I didn’t mind giving it the old username (it’s basically Twitter’s evil twin anyway).

Do you only create art digitally?

No, I can also draw and paint traditionally! I have been creating traditional art longer than I’ve been doing digital, you can find some of my recent drawings and paintings under the Traditional art category in my archive. My traditional mediums of choice are marker, colored pencil, gouache, India ink, and ink pens.

Do you use generative AI in your artwork?

No, I draw my artwork by hand either digitally or traditionally.
