Perturbator is a band from Paris, France who formed in 2012, from the looks of things. Perturbator play a dark, cold, and moody style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, cold wave, dark wave, industrial, and electronic music within their sound. Musically, Perturbator can be loosely compared to bands such as Rope Sect, Cold Cave, Night Sins, Hide, and other like-minded bands/artists. Since forming in 2012, Perturbator have released a five song EP titled Night Avenging Driver in March of 2012, a twelve song LP titled Terror 404 in May of 2012, a twelve song LP titled I Am The Night in December of 2012, a thirteen song LP titled Dangerous Days in June of 2014, a thirteen song LP titled The Uncanny Valley in May of 2016, a six song EP titled New Model in September 5th, 2017, a remix of Julie Christmas & Cult Of Luna's Cygnus in June of 2018, and a five song EP of various covers in May of 2021. Lustful Sacraments is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Blood Music on May 28th, 2021. On Lustful Sacraments, Perturbator offer up nine tracks of dark, cold, gloomy, and moody sounding post punk, cold wave, dark wave, industrial, and electronic music. NAQOY is a two piece band from Budapest, Hungary who formed in 2017, from the looks of things. NAQOY play a trippy/minimalist style of instrumental music that incorporates elements of post punk, noise rock, electronic, and drone music within their sound. Since forming in 2017, NAQOY have released a three song EP titled Draaa in January of 2018, a a self-titled three song demo in June of 2018, a three song live EP titled Perplexed Endings in March of 2019, a four song EP titled Into The Fog in September of 2020, and a digital single titled Abgehackt (Der Ekel) in January of 2021. Four is the band's latest EP, which was released on September 17th, 2021. On Four, NAQOY offer up four tracks of trippy/minimalist instrumental post punk, noise rock, electronic, drone music. Perturbator - Lustful Sacraments (2021)
Perturbator has always been in my top 5 synthwave artists. His stuff is always super heavy, super polished and just sounds great overall. The cover artwork for his albums is also usually pretty badass. It's been a while since we got a Perturbator release, the last one being 2017 's "New Model" EP, but here we are almost 4 years later and we have brand new Perturbator to enjoy with the "Lustful Sacraments" 2xLP. Now, I've only listened to this once so far, so I need to do a deeper dive, but this new release is much more subdued than past releases, which quite frankly bums me out a bit. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful and VERY atmospheric, and it was awesome to have it in the background today while I was working. But I was hoping for something that would knock the door down if you know what I mean. The synths were very eerie and very cool, but there was not much of a driving "beat" on this album. The best way I can describe it after one listen is to imagine if David Lynch did the soundtrack to Blade Runner. I hope that makes sense. Either way you should check it out, and download it, because it's fucking FREE. Or name your price, at least.

GRABENFUSSS play a lo-fi and ambient style of experimental electronic drone music. Since forming in 2020, GRABENFUSSS have released a three song EP titled Street Embargo in March of 2020 and a digital single titled Charles Ashmore's Trail. Spiritual Earthquake is the band's latest EP, which was released on May 7th, 2021. On Spiritual Earthquake, GRABENFUSSS offer up six tracks of lo-fi and ambient sounding experimental electronic drone music.
