Groak is a three piece band from Leeds, UK who formed in 2015. Groak play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of metal, doom, sludge, crust, and grindcore within their sound. Musically, Groak can be loosely compared to bands such as Leeched, WVRM, Death Rite, Theories, Wake, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2015, Groak have released a four song EP titled Masticator in September of 2015, a split 7" with Lugubrious Children in October of 2015,a split with Su19b in April of 2016, contributed a track to the Crossed Out tribute compilation in April of 2017, a split with Moloch in November of 2019, and a digital single titled Lemnian Earth in July of 2020. Scrap Gobblers is the band's latest EP, which was released digitally on July 22nd, 2020. On Scrap Gobblers, Groak offer up three tracks of vicious and caustic sounding metal, doom, sludge, crust, and grindcore. Overall, Scrap Gobblers makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
