Sole Aspect returns with the second part of its Sole Discretion series and this one goes deeper into the club while expanding on the textured, late-night energy of its predecessor. Dubbyman opens with widescreen deep house on 'Always In & Out' which wraps Aki Dawson's hypnotic Chi-town vocals in slow-burning warmth. The Windy City's Specter follows with a warm, weighty beatdown rooted in the US Mid West before Boo Williams turns up the heat with rolling basslines and his signature rhythmic deftness, backed with a subtle cosmic glow. Taelue closes the set with 'Interplanetary' which is a raw, futuristic cut that drifts into spacey territory and, along with the other cuts, is a sharp reminder that Chicago house's future is in good hands.

Chicago house artists don't come much bigger or more accomplished than Boo Williams. The man has a famous signature sound that is full of party but never short on class. His chunky drums are always the foundational element and they come embellished with superb synth work. This new EP on Pariter finds him lean into tech with the loopy acid squelches of '303 Effect' keeping you in suspense, 'Acid Smoke' layering soft 303 lines into a punchy deep house cut and then comes the EP highlight, 'Extension Time'. It's a zoned-out roller with tender piano chords turning you inwards for deep reflection as the rubbery drums keep things moving.

''Boo Williams - Galaxy House EP (Island Life Records) Island Life Records proudly welcomes Chicago house music icon Boo Williams with the Galaxy House EP, a powerful collection that bridges timeless underground house music with fresh contemporary reinterpretations. Leading the release are three original Boo Williams productions: the deep, groove-laden title track ''Galaxy House'', the soulful ''Need Yo Luv Tonite'', and the driving club workout ''House Me Up''--showcasing the unmistakable sound that has made Boo one of Chicago's most respected producers. The EP is completed by a quality selection of remixes. DJ Entropic delivers two contrasting takes on ''Need Yo Luv Tonite'' with a rave-fuelled Hardcore Mix and the darker, hypnotic Skeleton Mix, while Island Life label boss Garry Todd, under his Clouds of Kouros alias, reimagines ''Galaxy House'' with a deep, atmospheric interpretation that perfectly complements the originals. Since his career started over three decades ago back in 1981, The Chicago house veteran Boo Williams has been heavily involved in the house music industry, racking up highly strong reputation with his massive discography which includes a wide range of influences.
Hooking up with Mr Green Velvet, aka Curtis Jones’, much celebrated Relief Records in the mid-‘90s, the hard, jackin’ sub-label of Cajual, and later releasing on the tough-as-nails Dutch label Djax, 1996 saw Boo produce his seminal album with the bouncy house of ‘Home Town Chicago’, the first of a series of reissues by Anotherday Records.
Boo has since gone on to record for reputable imprint such as Ovum Recordings, Relief Records and Rush Hour.
For those who have religiously followed Boo over the many years, he continues to deliver as promised, once again bringing the driving beats and textured etherial soundscapes as you'd expect from the master‘. And for those who are just tuning in for the first time, Boo will open up your ears to a new level of sound.
Many things have been said, written and rightfully attributed to DJ and Producer Boo Williams' monumental career: "innovator".
As Boo Williams said: «House music will never die! Love, peace and hair grease».
Label owner, Adrien Calvet, is in charge of the B side. Always trying to push boundaries of raw sounds and electro glitch.

Chicago legend Boo Williams steps into the Afro House arena on this 4 track 12" feat. Jamiel Patton. Boo's trademark floaty spaced out keys float and dance around Jamiel's outstanding vocoded vocal work. B-side's "Space Mix" pushes the title track further into techy sci-fi territory.

2026 Repress.
Late nineties saw three releases of Boo Williams on Titonton Duvante run Residual Records. From these three eps we pulled the four best tracks, which make up this 'Residual EP'. Four times raw, deep, melancholic, late night grooves at which Boo is a master. Essential house music!

Bugsy hails from Milan where he is resident and co-host of the brilliant Take It Easy club night which brings many of the finest house DJ's to the city and remains packed week in and week out. With his featured producers Astroloop at his side Bugsy has come up with a quality debut loaded with fat, low-slung deep beats and Detroit-inspired grooves for Freerange entitled the Svegsy EP. The lead track sets the mood with mid-tempo loping beats that have 'Freerange' written all over them. We can't get enough of the simple yet satisfying warm-up vibe which oozes from this track. Understated, warm and relaxed yet with a bump and grunt which calls you to the dancefloor.
A2 is a track entitled New Vision where we find a straighter groove underpinned by a restless, pulsing, analogue bass and shifting block chords. With it's heads down attitude and simple, rolling arrangement this is Jimpster's personal favourite for banging on a big system. Flip over for the aptly titled Ghost Song. Here we get off-kilter vocals and fleeting glimpses of a melody which then disappear into the ether. All in all a slightly surreal yet groove-heavy track which has a charm of it's own.
Rounding off the EP we have Chicago house legend Boo Williams on the remix of Ghost Song, where he takes a minimal approach with a hint of acid but keeping his soulful touch. Enjoy!

The Miracle Workers) und seinem mobilen "Two Cent Recording Studio". Für Fans von Reverend Beat-Man, VRR, The Mummies, Oblivians, Billy Childish, Damaged Goods, Monks, very early Hives, Garagepunk, Lo-Fi-Roll, Alternative Beat
