3D Interactive Paintings in Art Museum

Art in Paradise (Chiang Mai Thailand) is a 3D interactive museum, thanks to the 3D feature of their paintings, visitors can form part of the art, photographing themselves in it.  Originally created by Korean Jang Kyu Suk, with the help of 14 artists, the museum holds more than 130 paintings.  We think that there are two more venues that are opening in Pataya and Bangkok.  The museum has six different zones: Underwater world, Wildlife, Classic Art, Eastern Architecture, Ancient Egypt and Surreal Art.

Kurt Wenner sold everything he had, to move to Italy and become an artist.  When he arrived he did not have a lot of money left and was not allowed to work.  He used museums as his classroom looking and recreating drawings and paintings from some of the best artworks in the world.  His life took a positive turn when he was asked to work with a street artist and was given a share of the profit raised from the public.  From then onwards he realised he could make a living at this transient and temporary form of art.  To pass on some of the knowledge he has amassed during the years, he runs workshops, demonstrations and gives talks.  The first video will give you a bit more information about his beginnings.

Portuguese Graffiti Artist Odeith creates Anamorphic Graffiti Drawings, bringing a popular style of drawing like the 3D Anamorphic to the world of graffiti.  An Anamorphic image can be seen in its intended 3D view, when observed from a specific angle.  Beautiful lines and Colours, plus incredible shading, really make these graffiti, literally stand out.  We have included a video in which Odeith creates one of his drawings, plus all the images can be enlarged when pressed, not the first one.  There is a high demand for these skills, as Odeith, has created large scale murals for major national and international businesses.  Local Authorities should think about providing walls for young inexperienced artist to practice on, the same way they provide skateboard parks, and maybe they wouldn't feel the need practice people's properties?

Pencil Drawings Illusions that Look 3D

American Artist Christina Empedocles is a very accomplished artist, that is capable of fooling our eyes into thinking that we are looking at 3D images, when we are looking at two dimensional pencil drawings on paper.  The level of detail associated with shadows, light flare from the light source and the paper crumpling, help make these drawings, an amazing feat of artistry.

Temporary 3D Anamorphic Street Art Creature Drawings

Self-taught Artist David Zinn, has been creating his original Street Art in and around Ann Arbor, since 1987.  He does take professional commissions that pay the bills, but loves walking around town and once a spot captures his attention, he starts drawing.  Zinn does not go out with a specific image in mind, he lets the sidewalks and the walls, drive the process.  The video below, is an interview with Zinn in which, he shares, with us, a lot more of his technique and the source of his inspiration.
