The Sims 4 has confirmed Spa Day is getting a free major update.
First released in 2015, the Game Pack focuses on wellness and ways for Sims to unwind, with features including yoga, saunas, massages, and meditation. It's a pack that we at Digital Spy are really fond of, but the amount of content is a little light by 2021 standards.
This 'refresh', which will go live on Tuesday, September 7, adds several new features to add more value to the pack.

Sims can go for new Wellness aspirations: Zen Guru, Self-Care Specialist, and Inner Peace. They can also earn a little bit of extra cash by teaching others to find control through mindfulness.
Manicures, pedicures, and facial masks are all new, adding more ways for Sims to treat themselves.
This means nails are now supported, with Sims able to try out new nail colours, designs, and shapes.
A new trait, 'High Maintenance', sees Sims getting easily worked up over trivial problems. There's nothing like a day unwinding and getting pampered at the spa to help them relax and put them in a state of catharsis.
Children can also join in with Wellness activities, and new swatches and designs have been added for some of the existing items in the pack (including yoga mats), along with a new luxurious version of the massage table and the massage chair.
As mentioned, all of this is being added to Spa Day at no extra cost – meaning if you already own this Game Pack, you're getting a sizeable amount of new content for free.

Early reaction from the online community appears to be positive, so it will be interesting to see if the development team continues to take this approach and bring similar refreshes to other older packs, like Outdoor Retreat or the glitchy Dine Out.
This announcement comes a week after the launch of the Industrial Loft Kit.
There was a bit of a backlash upon release when some fans noticed a window that featured in a promo wasn't included in the Kit itself. It lead to the developers announcing that the window will be added for free to all Industrial Loft Kit owners in a later patch.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
