About Me
My passion for food didn’t start at a young age like most people, actually as a child I hated food. As a toddler it was a task that took away from play time (don’t get me started on naps). As a child, I was an extremely picky eater. I’m sorry mom, I totally get it now…. Nopales (cactus petals) CAN be tasty. Then my teen years entered and although I was starting to come around and actually enjoy food, cooking it was NOT something I was interested in doing. But thing started to turn around for me once I started college. I became more open to trying new things and actually making them for myself. I discovered that cooking and baking brought me a sense of peace from the chaotic world of college life. So I did it often, and I found that I was quite good at it.
After college I attended Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, CA for a year long workshop for home cooks called the “Chef’s Series.” It was not a full curriculum of culinary courses that offer an Associates Degree at the end, but It was enough to help me understand the fundamentals of knife work, baking, and international cuisine.
The Bully family currently calls Chandler, AZ home, and in our free-time we like to brew beer, bake bread, and eat out… a lot.
My specialty is Mexican cuisine, but as you can see by my blog I like to do a little bit of everything.
Happy eating!
