Dear Friends,

Holy Week is just a week away and I wish to draw your attention to a number of wonderful prayer opportunities for you family. On Tuesday, April 15 at 5:30pm, Bishop Siegel, joined by our priests, will lead our diocese in the celebration of Chrism Mass at St. Benedict Cathedral. During this celebration, our priests will renew their ordination promises and the sacred oils needed in the coming year to celebrate the sacraments will be blessed.

Additionally, you and your family are strongly encouraged to participate in the Triduum Services of Holy Week including The Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Thursday evening, Good Friday Services with a live Stations of the Cross and the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. If you have never participated in these beautiful services that commemorate the passion and resurrection of the Lord, there is no better time than this coming Holy Week.

La Semana Santa está a solo una semana y quiero presentarles varias maravillosas oportunidades de oración para su familia. El martes 15 de abril a las 17:30, el Obispo Siegel, acompañado por nuestros sacerdotes, dirigirá a nuestra diócesis en la celebración de la Misa Crismal en St. Benedict Cathedral.Durante esta celebración, nuestros sacerdotes renovarán sus promesas de ordenación y se bendecirán los santos óleos necesarios para celebrar los sacramentos durante el próximo año.

Además, les animamos encarecidamente a ustedes y a su familia a participar en los Servicios del Triduo de Semana Santa, incluyendo la Misa de la Cena del Señor el jueves por la noche, los Servicios del Viernes Santo con el Vía Crucis en vivo y la Vigilia Pascual el Sábado Santo. Si nunca han participado en estos hermosos servicios que conmemoran la pasión y resurrección del Señor, no hay mejor momento que esta próxima Semana Santa.

5:00-6:00pm – Adoration in Church

6:00pm – Mass

6:30pm – Stations of the Cross (immediately following the 6pm Mass; in English) -- a simple, yet powerful, way to prayerfully walk alongside Jesus and encounter Him, perhaps, like never before

You'll walk step-by-step with Jesus from the garden of Gethsemane to Mount Calvary. Every step of the way, Old Testament prophecies, messianic expectations, biblical symbolism and historical context shed light on the mystery of Christ’s suffering and death.
