In 1999, Stefan Lysenko built and owned Bliss Art House Café on N. Vine Street in Hollywood, which attracts writers, artists, singers, poets, and comedians, while it is also used for daily Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Bliss Art House Cafe was featured in the book "Resident Tourist Los Angeles" as being "so damn cool".
In 2009, Stefan Lysenko ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in California's 32nd district and came in 10th.
