She has written six mystery novels: "Close Up On Death" (1989); "Mask of Betrayal" (1999); "Dead Innocent" (1999); "Revenge" (2001); and "Unauthorised Departure" (2003) - all of which feature "Inspector John Bright". She also wrote the novel "Deadly Reflection".
She was cast to replace Carole Ann Ford in Doctor Who (1963), thus becoming the first cast replacement in what was to be an ever-changing line of regulars in the series.
