Nachalova had years of ongoing health issues prior to her death in 2019. In early 2000s, she suffered anorexia nervosa. In 2007, she had unsuccessful breast augmentation surgery in Los Angeles, which led to sepsis and kidney failure. She later was diagnosed with gout and was treated for it in different countries, but all the courses of treatment she had were unsuccessfully. On March 8, 2019, she was hospitalized in a west of Moscow hospital right from the rehearsal. On March 11st, she was hospitalized at the Botkin Hospital with complications from gout, high blood sugar and incipient gangrene of her leg, which she developed after a minor injury and self-administration of lidocaine. On March 13rd, it was reported that she was on artificial lung ventilation and put into drug sleep. On the morning of March 16th, it became known that she had undergone surgery on her leg, but she died the same day at 18:20 from sepsis and heart failure at the age of 39. She was buried on March 21st at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow (site No. 17).
