Named after the author, B. Traven (a pen name), who wrote the novel "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre," which was made in to a film starring Humphrey Bogart. The film was written and directed by John Huston. No one knows who B. Traven really was, as he operated under numerous pseudonyms.
