Directed his first film at age 14 - a short thriller about a serial killer killing pupils at an elementary school. The film was made with his 8th grade class mates and shot at Munkegårdsskolen in Gentofte, Denmark, the school that Anders attended in his junior years.

In every one of the films that he has written and/or directed there is a scene in which one or more of the film's main characters confess to something which has to do with the film's primary conflict. Examples of this can be found in 'Billedet' (2003), 'Sange Fra Baggrunden (2006), 'Kirken' (2011) and 'Drengen Der Ikke Kunne Svømme' (2010). The only exception to this is 'Nexus' (2010).
