Broke Top Gear's Formula 1 "Star In a Reasonably Priced Car" lap record on the 4th episode of the 19th series with a time of 1:42.9. The previous Formula 1 record of 1:44.0 was set by Red Bull Racing driver and - at the time - two-time defending World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, on the 3rd episode of the 17th series. Hamilton previously set a time of 1:44.7 during the 10th series' 8th episode; however, tracks conditions were wet and oily the day he made his run.
