Madeleine Hamer was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. Thanks in part to her bookworm mother Jane Patrick Hamer née Britton, historian father Friedrich P. 'Fritz' Hamer and hilariously funny and creative younger sister Anna Victoria Hamer, storytelling has always been a focal point of Madeleine's life. She got involved in local theatre at an early age, studied acting in college and abroad and hasn't stopped performing since. Favorite theatre roles include: Eleanor Dare in The Lost Colony, Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Ernest, Lady Macbeth in Tale Told By An Idiot and Aphrodite in Cyclops: A Rock Opera. Television credits:
Mad Men (2007),
Grey's Anatomy: Die jungen Ärzte (2005),
Body of Proof (2011), and
CSI: New York (2004).
