I couldn't care less about offending people. To me that means either their basic thought pattern has been jolted and they start thinking differently or, more often than not, that their ego is hurt. Insulting people however, that is very different. That means someone's integrity is hurt, someone's honor is wounded and I will apologize within seconds of insulting anyone in anyway.
