Tahlia was initially enrolled to study her graduate diploma of education after completing her bachelor of fine arts, enabling her to become a drama teacher. After her first twelve months of study, she unenrolled from the education diploma because acting was her plan A and she didn't want a plan B. Her only option from then on was to succeed as an actress.
