She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) before being awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2024 King's New Years Honours List for her services to Public Engagement in Engineering. She is a Professor of Radio Frequency Engineering at University of Manchester and lives in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England.
