Draws you in immediately, with really well defined characters, beautiful cinematography and a sweeping storyline that's part politics, part family dynamics and part a pure love of the land. Can't think of any series that does this better. I felt a real infinity with Ruth, despite the foul mouth and the impulsive raw emotion of her character. Her past emerges over the seasons and every revelation draws you more into her confidence until you feel like her friend, cheering her on from the sidelines and willing her to get what she really needs to be happy. Jamie is weak, cruel and treacherous, and deserves everything that happens to him and Kayce is the old soul and the only sibling who truly understands what the land needs. John Dutton, brilliantly played by Kevin Costner, is the lynchpin that holds it all together. Loved all of them and will miss them now it's all over. Brilliant!
