Ascendance

The initial set-up was loaded with potential: A girl who's lost her parents has dreams and nightmares of major disasters every night, and after waking, they actually then take place. Why? How? What's her connection to them? Those questions never even get asked, much less answered. The film then becomes boringly repetitive; just one meeting after another with an "angel" (cheesily costumed, and with an Aussie accent, of all things) who doesn't really add much of real value in advancing the story or getting to the heart of substantive issues.

With each passing scene, I kept hoping this film would get better. Sadly, it didn't.
