He's not a very good stand up comedian. He's not the worst, but, without his crossover audience of UFC and podcast die-hards he wouldn't be seen as anything other than a slightly below average comedian. His delivery doesn't seem to be polished. He's just yelling most of the time which gets very annoying very fast. And if you've listened to his podcast you've already heard the material. I'm not sure if he's just pandering to his fans or if he really thinks that he's doing original, finely crafted material. At this point I think he's in such a bubble that he isn't really looking at his comedy with an objective lens or taking any kind of negative feedback seriously and all of his comedian friends that are legitimately funny won't give him honest feedback for fear of not being invited onto his podcast which would be a huge hit to them in terms of marketing their own career's.
Pretty much a cringefest in my opinion, as always with his stand-up. He comes in with a lot of energy in this one YELLING the entire time, which pretty much pressures the crowd into laughing / applauding at stuff that's really just not funny at all. One or two good bits in this to be fair, but it's all just recycled stuff that we've already heard on his podcast for years. Not even worked into any funny type of way. Poor Joe. You're a great podcast host but not a good stand-up comedian.
A solid piece of stand up comedy, Joe likes topics about vegans, animals, presidents and nominees. Just overall a good listen with some subtle underlying points that make you think.

Normally I'm a big fan of Joe's comedy, but I wasn't feeling this one.
He starts out with typical anti-Trump jokes (which we've all heard 100x before), then anti-Hillary, then anti-government. It's cool. It's just comedy. But it's not new material.
The rest of his performance is a mix between examples of how life is bizarre, how weed is getting legalized, imitations of women, and overdrawn apologies about how he didn't want to offend anyone. It misses the mark, and we've heard this all before, especially from Joe. If you listen to his podcasts, he talks about this stuff incessantly.
There were some funny moments because of Joe's expressive nature, but I feel like I couldn't relate to this performance at all. In my opinion, some of his best work isn't when he's critiquing how bizarre things are to him, but when his comedy is bizarre. No one thinks covering up your nipples is strange. No one thinks women giving birth is either. This Netflix special is like a rehash from both his "Talking Monkeys in Space" and "Triggered" material.

This show is one hour. Which is a blessing, given the podcast can go up to three hours. The downside: there is no guest.
