This film starts off rather poorly. While it's supposed to be funny, seeing the married couple arguing and the lady's son behaving like a brat wasn't so funny but more annoying than anything else. It seems it's the woman's second marriage and her son from the first marriage is a little jerk...and the mother won't believe anything bad about her little angel...and the kid makes the step-dad miserable. Of course, he and his wife are pretty annoying regardless.
When the boy's actual father arrives for a visit, the second husband isn't happy, as he's jealous of husband #1. Soon, however, he'll have more reason to be jealous. Why? Well, the doctor is called during dad's visit and it turns out the boys is sick...and the three are placed in quarantine! Husband #2 is literally locked out of his own apartment and he imagines the worst. Though, considering how much he was fighting at the beginning of the short, you'd THINK he would be thrilled with the prospect of the wife and boy being reunited with husband #1. However, the sap spends much of the rest of the film trying to sneak back in his apartment to spy on the trio.
The main problem with this short is that it just isn't particularly funny. A couple yelling at each other and a bratty kid aren't funny unless they are given better material...instead they are just unpleasant. Following the guy's exit from the apartment, things improve some but it's no rollicking comedy.
