Zum Tanzen geboren

Films about ballet tend to get rather melodramatic and this is no exception, cramming an awful lot of plot into just 87 minutes until it's rather abrupt and contrived ending.

It provides the novelty of Mai Zetterling in a tutu, while Terence Morgan as usual plays a good-looking jerk; although the fulcrum of the plot, little Mandy Miller (then billed simply as 'Mandy') is given disappointingly little to do until well into the final third.
