Ausgewählte Rezension
This is the very first movie by Pierre Granier-Deferre ,who would become famous in the seventies with his excellent adaptations of Georges Simenon's books :"le chat" ,"le train" "la veuve couderc".
This first effort was aimed at the children 's market ,a variation on "Cinderella". A little orphan works as a bellboy in a hotel ;after winning a slogans contest , he's offered a hefty sum ,but his dream is to spend two days in the prince's suite of his hotel .
It's a reversal of the situation: people he had to obey and who would despise him are now at his beck and call and he can enjoy good cooking and stuff himself with ice cream ,in the company of the lovely receptionist of the hotel (Mireille Nègre, who was essentially a dancer and is given a short moment to display her talent).
