Back in the 1970s, the Italian film industry imitated all money- making Hollywood (and non-Hollywood) classics and they made every sub-genre of cult & exploitation cinema their own. Whether it was sickening horror, violent crime thrillers, Sci-Fi, espionage films, fantasy or westerns, the Italians improved it! Italy also had the most versatile directors, because one and the same director made misogynic horror slashers as well as goofy superhero movies. Ever since I've been interested in cult cinema, I've been a fan of those wacky Italians and I love *almost* everything that they've done. There's just one sub-genre I never really cared for, namely their infamous sex-comedies. Just like the Germans from Bavaria did with their so-called "Tyrolean sex-movies", the Italians made dozens of light-headed and soft-core sex movies that were set in little villages and of which the plot consisted of a series of lame misunderstandings and infantile jokes, like peeping through the keyhole or under mini-skirts. Personally I prefer the Bavarian equivalents, but I found this obscure "Che Dottoressa Raggazzi!" (it doesn't even have an English titles) for a very cheap price in a double-pack with the – equally obscure – "Mia Moglie Torna A Scuola". The film's original title literally translates into English as "That girl Doctor" and the French DVD-title is something like: "Ouch! Doctor, don't cut that!". A small Italian village eagerly awaits the long-overdue arrival of a doctor. The townsfolk even protest underneath the mayor's balcony because they're fed up having to travel to the neighboring village to get a medical check-up. The mayor promises that he'll arrange a doctor, and he does, but everyone – including the mayor – naturally expects a male physician. So when the sexy female doctor Sigrun. steps out of the bus, it quickly leads to a series of slapstick events. While the mayor and his secretary try to "accidentally" walk into Sigrun's bathroom while she's in the shower, the rest of the male townsfolk suddenly feel the urge to undergo a full body examination. The strange and incomprehensible thing about these inferior Italian sex comedies is that they often star acclaimed actresses. The lead actresses in "Che Dottoressa Raggazzi", for instance, are Maria Pia Conte (who starred in "The Arena" and "Spasmo") and the fantastic über-babe Femi Benussi. She was a true giallo-starlet and starred in many great titles like "Hatchet for the Honeymoon", "Deadly Inheritance", "The Killer Must Kill Again" and "Strip Nude for your Killer". Both ladies walk around the sets more naked than dressed, but none of them are as gorgeous and naturally sexy as the unknown young patient who comes to see Dr. Sigrun because she thinks she's pregnant. All naked and with her legs on examination bed, she cries out that she must be pregnant because her boyfriend kissed her and fondled her breasts! Like I said, infantile jokes
